prepareathome wow that was nice of your hairdresser!
podperson i'd have given OH a rolllicking for that :D

Everyone seems to have dark eyes, thick hair, long legs etc but i'm the opposite. It's weird how we assume people to look, or at least I like to make up the way people on here look. LW, whenever you mention walking dogs I picture you in the wolf mobile with really long hair and velvet skirt blowing in the wind with some humongous dogs (even when you specify it's a tiny little terrier) and I think Kim Kardashian for evilsquid.

I oil cleansed with pure castor oil, made a pore mask (gelatine basically!) then slathered on loads of argan oil. I keep staring at the holes in my nose where sebum plugs came out, they look even bigger than they would normally because the lactic acid peels have removed the top layers of skin exposing any sebum plugs anymore. It appears I have willingly made it look like I have humongous black heads- nice! I want to oil cleanse again it can be so addictive!

  • i know it prob shouldnt make me feel "fab" but this does, i just had an argument with a takeaway and won :)

we ordered 2 cheeseburgers and they phoned claiming cheeseburger wasn't an option and we hadn't paid for it and it was just eat's mistake and that was that. i employed the principles of contract law and won :) we may have got pizza cheese on our burgers but it was a burger with cheese nonetheless. they also now have a rather scathing review for trying to bully a young girl on the phone. shame they picked the girl with two degrees, one of which is law :rotfl:

Morning! Today I am going to try harder with my healthy eating as the only person I am cheating is myself. I really am not happy with the way I look and I need to start taking it seriously instead of looking in the mirror and feeling disheartened, the pounds are not going to vanish just because I am willing them to go :rotfl:

As I have said I adore healthy food and have three well balance meals a day. It is the copious amount of rubbish I eat between meals that is the problem. I have even filled the fruit bowl and put it on the living room table so healthy snacks are within arms reach. I do not buy sweeties however loads of people give us chocolates and sweeties for our DD (even though they have been asked not to!) and I end up eating it all :o. Maybe I should start looking for healthier sweet treats, dried dates are good.

I think we are going to go shopping and then swimming today so that should be a pleasurable way to exercise :D. Tonight I will pamper myself to get me ready for the start of the week!

I'm trying to regain control over snacking in between meals - on small chocolate bars and then diet cereal bars which are taking me over the kcal allowances.

This week is the week I try very hard for the final few lbs to drop off and again, not just because I want them to but because I have changed my eating habits like I did before. Seriously need to break this snacking issue.

Fabwise so far, cleaning is done for this week, hair pre wash treatment is on and long dog walk done for this morning leaving the rest of the day for studying and a run later on when the wind drops

    Hi all.

I wasn't going to post today, but you guys have made me feel a lot better with your kind words, so thank you.:o

Podperson I've only just caught up, or I'd have said this earlier - if Mr LW pulled a stunt like that, he'd be a) cooking all his own food for a month and b) sleeping in the spare room (bearing in mind we don't have a spare bed just a spare room that's used as a store room).:D

I can't name any good bits either. I'm an extreme perfectionist, anything less than perfect or the best seems rubbish, and perfect or the best is only "okay" because i think i can improve and that perfection quickly feels rubbish again. It can be good, like I always think an exam has gone terribly if I don't feel 100% confident at the end but then get a nice surprise when I've got 90% or something. But it means I've never worn a bikini despite visiting lots of warm countries and beaches and working hard on my figure. My motto in life is to keep looking forward but sometimes I wish I could appreciate my achievements! I don't judge other people the same way though, I always see good in people and get genuinely excited for the tiniest achievements. It's just myself that takes a bashing :o
I'm the same - probably stems from nothing I ever did being good enough for my parents. I remember once getting 98% in a maths exam at school, and all my father could say was "what happened to the other 2%?" He wasn't joking, either.:(
LW not knowing what you look like I can't point out what I can see but rather perhaps shallow of me I neglected to mention my non physical attributes so maybe we can start there with you? you are so kind and caring, despite your daily pain you always have love and support for other people. You close affinity with animals and your empathy for those that have lost friends over the rainbow bridge. You might not think there is much to like on the outside but there is plenty to like on the inside xx
Thank you, Bitsy yes, I hadn't thought about the non-visible things; it's true to say I never met a dog I didn't like.:o There have been a few where I've had to work at it, but their "faults" were a result of bad treatment by humans. And a couple of my canine guests have been total brats, but I've still loved them.:D

:rotfl: My hair is very long, but sadly also thin, (as in a third of it's former thickness), as the lupus makes it fall out. I've suggested cutting it, but Mr LW won't hear of it. Actually, at the moment it's dark red with a silver stripe down the middle!:D I pinch Mr LW's tweed cap when we go out, though.;)

ETA: He's just plonked his Peter Christian catalogue in front of me, open at the page with tweed caps, and offered to buy me one of my own.:rotfl:

I've staggered my way through 36 minutes of WiiFit this morning; I'm so cross that I've put on 3lb through taking those dratted tablets, but as of today, I'm back completely on the old ones, so hopefully, once the others clear my system, I can lose that again. It's not through over-eating, as I haven't changed my eating habits at all, and weight gain is one of the "very common" side effects, so it has to be those that have caused it.

Uh, oh, I'm rambling now, I'd better shut up and go check my email.;)

Ooh, before I forget, I tried the 5X magnification mirror to bung on some war paint yesterday, to go into Central MK (first time I've worn make-up in quite a while) and it was a great help, made the task so much easier, so thanks again for the suggestion Bitsy.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I've manage to catch up but can't possibly remember everything I want to 'say'.

This is such a lovely, chatty thread. Wow! sparkles noticed you had all the cleaning done PDQ this morning. Well done!

I did join in on Friday. Went to theatre in my new (to me) wrap dress and my velvet coat. I wore a turquoise cardi, so I guess I was doing a Kirsty too. I'm getting loads of compliments lately. My friend went and changed her coat on Friday night as she said mine was so smart she felt scruffy next to me! She was just wearing an old, waterproof (and it wasn't raining) so perhaps she's noticing it's worth making an effort.

On the list of what I like about myself: I realised that this thread is working so well that the answer is most things!! I would like thicker, longer hair (:mad:prepareathome:D), my teeth aren't brilliant and I had a problem with my feet (dry, scaly, cracking skin but now sorted by dermatology except for one nail). Other than that I feel good!! I know the weightloss is the trigger, followed by the make-up and then clothes are more interesting now. I will try the Vit B. It might help my hair but also my nails. I've got lovely, long fingernails but toenails take an age to grow.

Adelight, I've been trying OCM with castor oil. My skin ends up feeling very clean but hardly the dramatic effects you describe. I think I'm doing it wrong. Would you check?: massage some oil into clean skin, I just do nose and chin ( for how long?), hold warm face cloth over area (do you use hot tap water or from kettle?) how long do you leave cloth on? then what? Sorry to be so thick.:o

Mustn't sit here too long, back soon!

Last night I went to KFC, got big order for OH and kids & friends. I am not that keen but went along for convenience. Anyway, got back and mine was the only thing missing, ad paid for it too, as I had a receipt. Ashamed to say, didn't know how to go back and complain, thought they might not believe me. Anyway, well done to you, wish I could be more assertive. Had to have chip butty made up by stealing a few chips; on the bright side I guess that's a pound or two saved when I weigh myself tomorrow!

i've got the skinny b!tch book too! its apparently what sent Natalie Portman vegan. have you seen the Clean and Lean books by James Duigan? i love those too. there all really sensible and i especially like the chapters that told me too much exercise can make you stressed and store fat and sleep helps you loose weight.

I recently bought all 3 Clean & Lean books and have started following the plans - it's more of a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I'm loving it so far, especially eating more fish and eggs :D

The recommended Bodyism supplements are not exactly cheap; but because I want to take my health & wellbeing seriously I've purchased their Body Brilliance (tastes yummy in shakes or with yoghurt), Probiotic Fibre and Body Serenity (supposed to be good for de-stressing).

    Hi all,

hope everyones had a good weekend! Yesterday i was fabbing the house, all nice and shiny now!

Today i let my kitten out for the first time, :( so whilst ive been sat around, rather impatiently i made add, i thought i may as well make use of the time and do some fabbing for me. Ive prepared lunch for work tomorrow, had a long shower, defuzzed, hair mask etc, cleansed, tones, eye cream, moisturiser and also sat in silence for a bit with a cuppa (silence is a golden reward for me!).

Ive also put a few things on ebay today so hopefully theyll sell

going out with OH's family for a meal tonight, so going to put something nice on as rarely see them when looking 'fab'
