10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Rant alert!!!!
Just back from T*scos and was chatting away to the nice butcher about cheap meat for dogs (no-one else waiting) when a woman in her late 60s/70s barged over and shouted "are you finished, I don't want to hear you both witter on about dogs" in a very aggressive manner.

Feel much better about myself strangely - the grumpy rude old cow showed me that some things are more important than 10 extra lbs and crows feet!

    Rude woman.

I agree with you - it doesn't matter how plain, dowdy, frumpy or whatever we think we might be - we are all of us heaps better than that, for all her coiffure, nice clothes etc.

In fact I would go so far as to say - if you can't behave decently, with consideration, charm and grace - then you might as well throw in the towel.

Be assertive of course - complain when you have to and don't let people trample all over you - but there is a way of doing such things nicely. Good manners cost nothing.

Well another busy day here - just got back from seeing OH, he was upset because he'd "lost" a week thinking it was only around the 15th. Poor lamb. I made light of it and told him I couldn't believe that we are nearing the end of January. Actually that's true - I cannot believe just how quickly time is racing by - a sure sign of getting older. :o

Off to cook dinner for DS2 and I then hopefully a quiet evening with a bit of fabbing. Want to do my eyebrows but can't find my favourite tweezers.

I have about 4 pairs of tweezers, one a really expensive "salon" quality pair and yet I still prefer a set that I've probably had for about 30 years or so. In fact I feel that I can only do a good job with those.

Still need to do todays core exercises - where does the time go.

    Bye for now X

Prepareathome - Your hair looks amazing, so glossy and such a lovely colour, and fab that you got some money off your styling products.

Pod - I would have been annoyed at having things lent out to people that you don't know. Can't you suggest that your OH goes round to their house in a couple of days and asks for it back as you need it for a presentation/uni work (or some other excuse.) If they haven't watched it and start whinging, he could suggest they buy their own copy. :D

Bitsy - Great idea about listing our best features.

Willow - Good luck for your interview. Which top did you decide on?

I haven't posted for a few days as a cold plus period pains made me very grumpy, so no fabbing happened! Feeling much better now, so will start healthy eating tomorrow. I've bought lots of fruit - apples, bananas, little oranges, cherries, pears and blueberries for snacks and to go with breakfast.

Does anyone drink green tea or any of the other healthy teas? I have tried green tea and fruit teas before, but they just taste strange to me. I have seen suggestions of adding honey or lemon, does this help?

Bit annoyed as I've got grease marks on the sleeves of my lovely coat. OH had bought kebab meat (bleugh) home and I took it out of the bag to put on a plate and it dripped over my sleeves. It can only be washed at 30 degrees, so I am debating whether to try washing up liquid or Vanish first. I wouldn't worry if it was normal clothing, but the coat has a 'sheen' to it and is part polyamide/part polyester.

I've got my first counselling appointment tomorrow morning (for depression.) I am a little worried, but I have an idea of what I want to talk about. I will try not to think about it again until I get there.

    My best features are:

    Eyes - blue/grey colour.
Lips - quite full and look nice with some lip balm on.
Waist/stomach - I have a nice top half. However as a pear shape, my hips, bum and thighs carry all of the extra weight.
I like the colour of my hair (light brown, with a few golden streaks). Just wish it was a bit thicker.
    Sense of humour.
    Determination.

Fabbing for tonight will be bath, defuzzing, moisturising and painting toenails. Wishing you all a pleasant evening.

Callisto I drink the occasional cup of green tea but I have to have honey or sugar in it. Definately an acquired taste :o

Not much fabbing here today. Went swimming later today so doing laps was a bit of a mare and not very enjoyable. I did two lengths doing front crawl  I am so unfit  I normally do breaststroke because i cannot do the whole putting face in the water thing :o

This weekend has involved the installation of a new to us DW and it's meant a shed load of carp everywhere. Don't cope well with this and I am STILL tidying up  having something quick for tea as too shattered to cook a full roast. Fabbing will consist of EVOO and an early night I think

    Hello all
I hope everyone has had a fab weekend so far.

I've plucked my eyebrows, had a face pack and shaved my legs all ready for the week. Just my nails to do now. Before following this thread I would still do these things occasionally, but now I'm doing them as part of my weeks routine and it's nice to feel a bit 'girly'.

I'm going to use my new foundation tomorrow, I got it yesterday from savers. It's unlabelled, so not sure what make, but it passed the gym test yesterday and cost the grand total of......

    89p!

    Take care all

I love matcha (super concentrated green tea)! Used to drink 1 mug per day with sweetened condensed milk, but you can also add milk, sugar or honey. Green tea has loads of health benefits and is really good for you.

Want to start drinking it again regularly though, so ordered a couple of packs from Teapigs. Their organic matcha teas have good reviews on their website, figured it was worth trying. Hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow!

Been really busy today doing a mountain of school work but at least I'm all ready for the week now:T
Just had a bath, defuzzed again (I swear I was a chimp in a former life:p), and done a layer of gradual tanner.
Going to have a flop on the sofa and watch some telly and if I feel positively saintlike I might do a bit of marking of exam papers - would have to be very bored first though:rotfl:.

I found some multivits in the cupboard and popped out to buy some B complex ones to encourage my hair to grow a bit faster - no noticeable results yet! (apart from leg hair!)

Callisto, be really careful with your coat - don't put Vanish directly on it, make sure it is well diluted or mixed in.
