lilythelegend it's also £25 off when you spend £50, £15 for 30 etc. And deals on scrub, butter and shower gel sets. Ooooh don't tempt me
Morning beauties. I won't be taking part in fashion friday today, I have my exam at 12.30 and feeling very frumpy and tired, last thing I want is to be sat in something uncomfy or jangly. I'm still sat in bed revising but it's time I got up and at least got dressed.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Thanks Lily & Bitsy, I know I shouldn't mope about but felt awful last night & had no one else to tell my sorrows to! Thanks x
Really ought to take a shower and get dressed properly (no time before school run!) as it's fab friday! No idea what I'll wear but will let you know. Have been for a walk this am and plan to spend today fabbing myself, fabbing the house (well fabbing might be a stretch but making it less of a tip) & spending quality time with the 2 kids1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100
MFW 2013 no. 62 £10,000/£10,000
MFW 2014 no 62 £8000/£70000 -
Hi ladies.
Just been having a little read of the thread and I'd love to join in please. I want to make more of an effort with myself this year. My self esteem is "wobbly" at best and I know that when I do do things like paint my nails then it does make me feel better about myself.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and a fab 2012! :j

Morning all,
Sky - love your 'C's' and beautifully put
Carmen - I'm feeling a little more positive, decided I needed to give myself a good kick and get myself in gearBook is going quite well, am about a quarter to a third of the way through, some writer friends seem quite impressed by how quickly I'm going so will take that as a good sign (of course doesn't mean it's any good when it's done :rotfl:) and yeah we have a concert mid April so guess that will around Easter time - haven't actually checked when Easter is this year yet!
Tru - sorry about the job but sounds like you might be well out of it there, hope business picks up soon tho.
Mrs W - I always think your outfits sound fantasticI'm kind of thinking along similar lines at the moment, got loads on and feeling rather stressed so just small things at the moment I think.
LL - am very impressed with all the barginsand great start on the money-making!
Liz - I used to feel quite self-conscious as well but have realised that most people are much too involved in their own lives and insecurities to think like that about other people.
Callisto - well done on getting the assignment in :j hope you enjoy the wedding x
Welcome to new people and well done to everyone with weight loss :j
Overslept a wee bit this morning so not as 'put together' as I wanted but wearing a bright red top, my sparkly owl vintage necklace and a black scarf with white spots so have made a bit of effort for Fashion FridayIf I'd had more time would have done my hair and makeup a little more and added some boots but ah well.
Feeling a little more positive today, just had a few relaxing nights and think that has helped - back to working on things this weekend though! Need a kick start on the money making side but met up with a chap last night who is going to rent my parking space longer term (usually just get a few weeks here and there) which is good, has paid the first month already. Went back on some of my survey sites yesterday and managed to cash out £3 from one already (not in a day, had a bit already in there!) so every little helps. Am going to have a look at the betting sites again this weekend and if I can be bothered count up my change jar. Still waiting to hear back from co-op on the new account I tried to open at weekend - is meant to be the basic 'anyone can have one' account and they still say it has to be referred for a decision, so it comes back as a no I will be rather annoyed - am just wanting a separate account to keep my money making things away from the regular bills, don't want an overdraft, cheque book or anything on it, but since I have bad credit no one seems to want to know
Anyway, hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Liz, love the idea of fabbing the house! That'll take a loooong time for my place, but perhaps I can make a couple of changes each week there too.
Hi heather! :hello: I love painting my nails too, but they usually chip on the first or second day! Anybody got any tips to make them last longer?0 -
Do neoprene fingerless gloves count as a fashion accessory?? Having to wear them today as my paws have well and truly seized up, and I can't get them warm.:o
Liz-paul I know where you're coming from - I managed to shift 2 and a half stone, but can I get rid of the final half stone? Can I heck as like!! Been "stuck" at this weight for an age, and it keeps actually trying to creep back up (the new meds aren't helping there either) Have a Wolfy (((hug))) if it'll help.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
 and welcome heatherberry.
Lily, although I'm just wearing my nails buffed at the moment, when I have them done in a shop I always put a coat of colourless polish on top when I get home to make it last longer.
I love reading about all your outfits (especially the gloves LW:rotfl:). I'm going to the cinema later to see The Iron Lady so will dress up a bit for that. It's a glorious day here but much colder so I think I'll wear a dress but with a cardigan, long coat, knee length boots and opaques!
I tried out the make-up pencil sharpener and so far so good. I was disappointed that I couldn't sharpen my eyebrow pencil and as it's an expensive Benefit one I was reluctant to bin it with lots of life left in it. Sharpener was about £1.80 in Superdrug.
Book's coming along brilliantly podperson:T and I hope you're not wearing yourself out at the gym evilsquid. It sounds exhausting.
liz-paul, I think it's ALWAYS worth making a bit of an effort. If it brings compliments then that's great but that's not the point. The point is to feel good about yourself. Making an effort does make a difference even when you're overweight (think Geraldine Grainger) but if you work on healthy eating and exercise as well then you'll end up both slim and gorgeous!!
LW, I've every sympathy with you gettng that last bit of weight off, I was just the same. Of course it could be the meds working against you but advice we're often given at SW is to vary what we eat and up the fruit and veg!!
Lily (or anyone:)) I wanted to ask how you use your body scrub? And also some advice on everyday shower gels. I live in a very hard water area so it's hard to get some things to build up any lather. I use one of those net things. What does everyone else do? And do you use the same thing for body scrub?0
