Thanks for the reminder ladies - I nearly forgot.
Yes ladies it's Fashion Friday or if your prefer Fabulous Friday - a day to get on the glad rags. Can't believe a week has passed by already.
Tomorrow I will be going to see OH in the morning - it's Quizz Day so should be fun.
I will wear grey trousers and a red V necked sweater. If it's not raining I will top that with my favourite full length mid-tan suede coat. It's a real feel good garment and it always makes me feel quite glamourous when I wear it.
Does anyone have any tips for DIY suede cleaning - thought I might have a go. I could have it specialist cleaned but it would probably cost more than I paid for the coat in the first place. Although I love the coat so much I might just go for it - cheaper than a new coat.:)
I nearly bought a trench coat mac the other day, it was only £10 at Dr Barnados. It had a nice warm detachable lining too so that it covered all seasons. I dithered and dallied, went back next day and of course it was gone. Stupid of me because I haven't got a decent waterproof coat. Serves me right for being "too frugal".
Now that I'm not pushing wheelchairs all the time I have started wearing heels again - just 2" - not killer stilettos:rotfl: It's amazing the difference a pair of heels make - they instantly add a bit of glamour.0 -
I love this thread and the idea that all over the place, there are people who are feeling just a little bit more fab than they have been!:jI wonder if we would recognise each other if we met?
FedUp, I know what you mean about being self conscious. I have recently started wearing a much brighter lipstick and, contrary to my expectations, no one has pointed and laughed or asked me what I think I'm doing!!
I fabbed my way round the supermarket after work feeling very bright in my lovely orange coat! Not sure what I shall wear tomorrow yet - have to see what the weather is doing. Maybe a skirt or even a dress?
LL, good luck in the quiz!0 -

Thanks.
I love that orange that is around at the moment, bet you really brightened up the supermarket. :rotfl:0 -
Well ladies, it all seems very positive today from what I can gather - compliments, trying out new things, ballet! The world won't recognise us soon!
As for me, I've had a day off the diet - wasn't planning to and I haven't been absolutely awful but not on plan at all. As long as I get back on the wagon tomorrow it doesn't really matter.
Tonight I have had a bath, defuzzed, done my toenails and found something to wear tomorrow and am trying to persuade myself to pack up some gym kit to play netball after work:eek:.0 -
i did another 30 mins Zumba. didn't go mad but felt nice to just move my body. It was the sculpt and tone DVD but I think I prefer the cardio party. Stll this in itself is a miracle, I cant remember any time where I willingly exercised 3 nights in a weekI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

The receptionist at the dentist complimented my nails today
Still feeling rubbish about my weight & the fact I'm not losing anything. I know its only been 12 days but I'd like to see something moving on the scales
Not sure if anyone feels the same, but I feel self conscious of trying to fab myself (wearing nice clothes, make up, perfume etc) while I'm still fat. I know its daft but I feel like people are looking at me wondering why I'm making an effort with all that & not bothering with my weight (which I am trying to). I didn't realise how bad I felt about it until this morning where I was in a situation with new people. I feel like people who I'm just meeting are judging me & think I must be stupid. They're probably not but today has really made me realise how down I feel about my weight & how self conscious it has made me1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100

awww Liz I bet you NO ONE is looking at you thinking that a) you're stupid or b) that just because you're not a size 8 you shouldn't be making any effort xxx People think less about us than we give them credit for (too busy worrying bout how they look or come across) and even if they do then it's their problem and not yours xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Bitsy - Well done on your frequent Zumba-ing.
Bratz and Adelight - Thank you for the yoga recommendations, I will check them out when I am back from weekend away.
Hello Lily and Watty.
Submitted assignment, yippeeeee, the immense feeling of freedom after pressing the submit button is amazing!
I am declaring I fell off the fab wagon at the start of the week - no healthy eating, exercise, face masking or moisturising has happened. However I will make up for this tomorrow evening as we will be at the hotel and I will have a nice long bath, paint my nails and get an early night in ready for little sis's big day on Saturday.0 -
didn't get doing my yoga DVD last night as a friend called in and sat for ages. I didn't mind really as I haven't seen them in a while so was nice to catch up, but will def do my yoga tonight. I did get painting my nails though, a French manicure so at least I look decent!carpe diem

And hi to Watty! :hello:
Well I didn't do any fabbing last night, but realised a couple of nights ago that I don't have much body scrub left, so last night I ordered some body scrubs and butters from the Body Shop website. There's a good sale on, plus if you go through Topcashback you can get an extra 20% off. And there's free delivery on orders over £20 too. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else needs to stock up. A few of the body scrubs and butters are down to £5!
I've been getting into work early all this week and it's lovely to see the sunrise. This morning's was lovely, and I could still see the moon too.
Trying to think of all the positives as I have PMS and seem to be going between this  and thisat the moment.
I've got some herbal remedies to try for next month so hopefully that'll even me out a bit.
Liz, I'm sure no one is thinking that. I very rarely make an effort to look nice at work but when I do I often get compliments. And I am about five/six stone overweight.
ETA: Forgot to say I took the stairs at work this morning, have been doing that since I came back to work after Christmas!0
