:j:j:j:j brilliant that's exactly what i have! Does it advocate low carb?

its more avoid gluten because it can bloat you. he does a bad, better, best approach so if you want chips (bad) you could switch to a jacket potato (better) or have a sweet potato (best).

also things like switch white pasta for wholemeal.
  • Hi All
I have been keeping up with the cleansing and moisturising but that's about it. I need to up my game. Tonight I am going to head to the gym for a float around in the spa and tomorrow start a morning Yoga session. I have been promising myself that I will do this for ages now but when morning comes and its cold I just stay in bed.

    Plan for tomorrow:
    Early morning Yoga session
    Body Brush, Shower, body moisturise
    Face - cleanse, moisturise, make-up

Hi everyone! :hello: Hope it's ok to join you! :)

.....but me and DH have decided even if we end up eating unhealthily, we will get straight back on the wagon the next day. :)

We've booked a holiday for June and I definitely need a transformation from beach bum to beach babe! :o
    Lily x

Welcome Lily. I think you're resolve to jump back on the wagon is excellent advice. It's so easy to have a s*d it moment and give up. I joined last year and I have to say that the compliments I had from friends (I hadn't seen for a year) when I turned up on holiday are still making me smile. It's so much harder to hide flab, rough skin etc in the summer. Stick at it ladies!!!!

neither can i! i get horrific headaches if i don't have any. the book says that one or two cups of really good coffee/6 cups of green tea actually ramps up your metabolism and helps prompt fat burning but any more than that and your body gets stressed and releases cortisol which causes fat storage round your middle.

I think if you're used to lots of coffee you can get withdrawal symptoms if you go 'cold turkey'. 2 a day is probably enough.

You've picked up some good buys today LL. When all the equipment goes on Monday, you'll be able to make a start reclaiming your home and getting it how you like it. Which room will be first?

I've had a mooch round the chazza shops today too. I limited myself to just one dress. It's a Boden, faux wrap dress in a geometric pattern (turquoise, brown, cream). It fits beautifully and will look good with my brown boots and I notice I've got a cardigan that is almost an identical match. It was £5 so I won't need to wear it that often to get my money's worth.

I also bought a new eye pencil and a pencil sharpener that's meant to be especially for make-up pencils. I've been using an ordinary one and it doesn't seem to give an all round point. This one seems to have more space around the blade so I'm hoping it'll be better.

I did my nails last night. I'm still wearing them 'au naturel' so they were shaped, buffed and plenty of handcream. I'm planning a facepack later, in fact very soon but I have to nip to post office first.

Gained a 1lb at WI this morning and I'm pleased as it puts me back in my target range.

    Must go, back later.

Hello .... and hope its ok to join in.
I started off on the last thread then lost my way a lot....life stuff took over ... but a couple of things stuck with me. I do used smellies each day now - deoderant and perfume...yay! But that was as far as I got. But I've spent a few hours browsing here and you all seem so nice - and echo so many themes that I am dealing with that I'd love to join the group.
LL you are an inspiration ... love your posts and your general attitude to life. And so many of you really are a joy to read ...that I'm looking forward to summer.
I think there is much room for improvement (grin)

i get horrific headaches even if i wait an hour or two for my first coffee. 'spose thats what you get for staring every day for 3 years with a double espresso, even if said 3 years were 5 years ago now :rotfl: i changed to having an americano or filter coffee but if i don't have that early enough the headaches kick in.

    hello Watty!

    Hello Watty welcome back!

    And welcome Lily!

EvilSquid- re the coffee, I had a serious coffee habit a few years back- so bad that the coffee shop owner took me aside to ask me if everythign was ok:eek: I did manage to cut down gradually but it really took quite a while for the headaches to go away- a couple of months if i recall correctly i think! but now I'm ok even if I don't have any caffeine in a day- I do like good coffee so I have one of those a day if I can- if not I have one tea in the morning, sometimes one in afternoon- otherwise it's lemon tea through the day- takes a while but you really do notice a difference in how you feel!

still trying to catch up- be back later!

    Thanks Mrs Woolfe and elvilsquid

Re the coffee: there is a way to do it without headaches. It sounds a bit of a faff but if you really want to cut down/out the caffeine it can be done over 4 weeks with no symptoms at all..... honest! If anyone wants the details I'll type it out for on this thread.

:j I got another two compliments today :j

It has been soooooo long since I was given any and that has been three in the last two days. I just feel so good and it is lovely that it is showing on the outside!

Adelight there is nothing stopping you from going to ballet. Most cities have adult classes somewhere and they are usually a real mix of abilities. I have signed up to do another ballet class too :D

LL have you found your mojo?

    Hello everyone
I'm going for a swim later this evening, it's starting to get cold and my hands and feet are aching. The jaccuzi (sp?) helps to warm them then when I get dressed i put on thermal socks and gloves - not very fab but necessary! Tomorrow I will wear my pink cardi and a pink lippy as it's Friday.
    Take care all

I too got another compliment today about looking a lot thinner than I did a couple of months ago. Haven't lost that much more weight over the last 2mths but the inches have continued to come off.

Fabwise I decided to wear a black elastic waist belt for the first time ever! I wore it with a slightly flared black skirt and slim jumper I liked how it looked and although I felt a little self conscious about my new accessorie I was pleased I wore it and no-one said a word about it at work and this yet again proves my theory that its all down to me and how I think about things. So overcoming a self-consciousness hurdle again and hurdling it quite well I think compared to a year ago.

Dragged myself out for a run after nearly talking myself out of it - just a short one but better than none so exercise done for today

    What else?

Fab plan for Friday - oh yes, its Fabulous Friday so maybe I wear something a little different to work. Not sure what yet?
Anyway once that's decided its is fabulous exercise day as I attempt the long run again after work and an easy tea and plenty of moisturising too!
