LW, Your words today have stuck with me since I read them. I cannot think of anything that I, who has only just "met" you could say that wouldn't be trite or patronising or just plain rude. All I can say is that I hope you can focus on where you are now not what has been done to you. When you feel that you are "not worth it" please remember that even if you feel that you "don't like" yourself (and this goes for anyone on here from me) remember that we like you, I really enjoy reading your posts, and that we want people to be nice to the people we like so be nice to yourself!
I second this and I'm sure every one else does too - put much better than anything I can say. Just take care LW. xxx
A bonkers busy day today - dogs walked, mini fab (shower, hair, new perfume, nice scarf with boring suit), meetings before and after school and a full day teaching. Then quick whizz home and a 45 min dog walk and tea - and sticking to the diet all day too so far:T
Just about to do the last dog walk (thankfully) and then will have a nice relaxing bath to have a bit of "me" time. Then the closest to fabbing this evening I'll get is watching the soaps and the crime drama on ITV at 9pm - I do like a bit of misery and mystery!
Oh, and I thought of another C!
Cuddles! - good for the soul and mental health. If, like me, you don't have an OH to cuddle with the dog does a good snuggle and slobber! Just being next to another living breathing thing helps sometimes.0 -
Hi ladies
Not been on for a few days as I've been feeling very low, not sure why, but seem to be coming back out the other side today.
Dragged myself off to WW for the first WI since the xmas break, put on 5lb thought it might be more than that so that was a relief. Gotta get a move on now and take this weight loss seriously, hubby is right by my side as he wants to lose some weight as well.
I'm gonna do a meal plan for the week and also plan in some exercise, my back seems to be better so will take things gently.
Right off to catch up with what I've missed.
Have a good evening.Chiari Brain Malformation - decompression survivor

Sezzagirl - Shred is an exercise DVD from Jillian Michaels. Pure torture for 20 mins and that's on the basic level!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

:eek:Well today I went and bought myself some new clothes - every day things mainly. I had a look at charity shops but nothing took my fancy so popped into BonMarshe where they had quite a few things at 75% off. Might not be top fashion but at 55 am way past latest fashion. Was very pleased though as bought a David Emanuel top - very dressy, another fancy top and three plainer but nice everyday tops, a pair of plain back trousers and a dress for the grand total of £43. As I am hoping ( hope being the operative word) to lose weight I chose tops that I can still wear even a size or two smaller without them looking to big, and dress although fits and looks good would look even better if I drop a size, its a mid knee - ankle length not length I usually go for, I usually hide every part of me but I just fell in love with it. Only bought one pair of trousers as they will become to big. I did fall in love with another David Emanuel dress but without being taken in it would not look right with weight loss and sadly no where to wear it in the foreseeable future, if not I would have bought it. Went mad and all are pinks, and lilacs ( even the dress) rather than the usual creams, blacks or browns I normally wear. I badly needed more tops as mine are really well past their best but as I rarely go anywhere that I do not have to dress up for I have not bothered changing them, been same weight now for 5 years so that tells you all you need to know about most of the tops. I actually gave away all my smaller clothes 2 years ago when I thought oh well that is me fat forever.
So now have nice outfit to go out for meal on 21st.
Blew my health eating tonight as hubby asked for beef sausages which I did in gravy and they looked so good I ate two:eek: and tomorrow is weigh in.
Oh well better get back on that treadmill did my 1km yesterday and have done 0.5km so far today and now I have those sausages to work off.....Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

Re the Chic bit.....this is where i struggle. I am 36 (well for another couple of months
) and whilst i appreciate I cant wear the suff I wore in my early twenties (gym skirt for clubbing in :rotfl:) when I hear the word chic I imagine lots of more mature french ladies in expensive designer outfits, lots of heels and wide legged trousers in camel colours :rotfl: I don't really know what a chic me would look like so just don't know where to start in building up a chic wardrobe
:o
i want to look smart but still be me, just not sure what that is.......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

you can wear it on its own but it needs something to stick to so you'll need to use a moisturiser and primer first to get the best results.
just dusting it on is the worst thing to do. you need to buff it into your face with a big fluffy brush using circular motions and you need to do it for a while. bare minerals say the ideal time is if you sing happy birthday to yourself 3 times.
Thanks evilsquid, sorry I forgot to mention that I do only use moisturiser, will I still need a primer (?) also?

i find i get an extra bit of time before my skin gets far too oily if i use a primer. try it with and without and see whats best for you.
if you want to try bare minerals the best way to start with it is usually the get started kits and they have a primer in them as well as 2 foundation shades, 2 brushes, warmth, concealer and concealer brush.0 -

I have just had the most amazing time at my dance class! As you know I had been so excited about going but when I mentioned it to a few people today they actually laughed. Not sure why but even my family found the thought of me going dancing hilarious.
Anyway now I am feeling that little bit more confident I thought stuff em I am going. Oh I am so glad I did, it was great fun! Yes I was the biggest there and no I do not have any coordination but I had such a good time and it has made me even more determined to lose the weight and become even more fabulous!

Oh Rummer that is fantastic for you, I am so glad you didn't let others talk you out of going, you deserve a big gold star, you will be as slim and co-ordinated as the best of them in no time at allNeed to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

Rummer glad you enjoyed the dance class.
I was trying to explain to my teen boy the other day that you should always dance when you get the chance but not sure he believed me
Jazzercise tonight was hard work but it did feel good to get moving again!
Shred sounds way too hard for me!
Bitsy, I've got a few years on you and I'm still trying to work it out! I suppose the only thing to do is any time we see an outfit in a magazine or such like, to tear it out and try and copy it?
Photographing strangers on the street would probably be frowned on!!
Night all, can't remember is beauty sleep was one of the bs but I think it should be!0
