LW - *hugs* of course you are not tainted in any way at all hun, can't imagine what you've been through but is definately an individual problem that he had and nothing to do with genetics. Do you have any other family related to him - siblings etc. - surely you don't think less of them because they're related to a horrible person.
Thanks.:o No, I have no siblings; not even any cousins, so because I chose to forego having children, the family dies out when I pop my clogs.:o

My goodness there are some right little gym bunnies out there. Well done on all that exercise - you are putting me to shame.

Haven't been able to exercise at all hardly, I've been having the most most horrendous chest pains. It's probably "only" stress and hopefully nothing too serious.

Unfortunately we do have a family history of heart disease so I have today made an appt to get myself checked out. Last time this happened I was given the all clear - the hospital explained how a stress attack can be very similar to a full blown heart attack. It's just that with the former there is no long term damage or scarring of the heart.

Bliddy uncomfortable though and I don't feel like doing much.

Anyway have been ploughing my way through my to do list, finally making a bit of progress with the SS paperwork mountain.

I'm sure there'll be more before we've done.

Anyway enough of my woes, here in preparation for tomorrow because once again I shall be busy in the morning. Some more C's ......

    Core Exercises

If you do nothing else exercise wise you should really do a few of these each day. They will strengthen your abdomen and back and keep all your womanly bits and pieces in place, they will help maintain your pelvic floor and help bladder control in later life.

At the same time they will whittle your waist and trim your belly, and firm up that spare tyre.

I will not attempt to explain how to do them but suggest you look at https://www.sparkpeople.com. Start with the easy ones and gradually work up.

If I didn't do my core exercises regularly my back would be in a far worse state than it is. I did them religiously last year and have completely lost my "Muffin tops", lost 4 inches from my waist and tightened up my tummy.

    Crunches

Whilst you're at build in a few tummy crunches, abdomen crunches and buttock clenches. May as well.;)

    Charity Shops

What can I say. There's nothing like a good mooch round a few charity shops and picking up a few amazing bargains. The secret is to visit them regularly because stock constantly changes.

    Clutter

Clear the clutter and clear your mind. Sell it, give it to charity, recycle - just get rid of it. Allow your house to breathe and enjoy living in a calm and tranquil haven.

I class unnecessary TV, radio etc as audio clutter. Silence really is golden, just enjoy the peace and let your senses rest every so often. We live in a world of sensory overload, too much stuff, too much noise, far too much rushing around.

Clear the junk - letting go of all that unnecessary stuff can be so liberating.

    Evening all,

Love the idea of fabbing! I used "Gatineau" face mask cream last night. It's amazing! I got it as a gift from my mum for Christmas - skin instantly feels great!

Despite being offered an amazing big slice of chocolate birthday cake in work today - I managed to decline! I also ate a healthy lunch and drank water. I'd usually drink fizzy drinks all day - major weakness. I'm not "banning" myself from fizzy drinks as I know it would last a week or so then I'd go mad and drink loads of it! LOL! So I'm limiting myself to one per day and so far so good.

    Onwards and upwards!

    Evening all

Well, Fabbing started very badly this morning! As the gorgeous green nail varnish I put on at the weekend chipped after less then 12 hours, I had to take it off before work this morning - can't abide chipped nails! But when I took it off, the green colour ended up all over my fingers and it had stained my nails where they are not in very good condition at the moment! :eek:So I had to use remover all over my hands then tried to use some quick dry polish in a light colour to try to cover up the slightly witchy looking nails Ladies, I tell you, Dry in 60 Seconds lies!!!! Now I have smudged, glittery polish that still needs taking off and re-doing!!

    D'oh!!

LL, I've loved the c's today especially Chic! I think that exactly describes how I'd like to be!

    Elfen, Shred?:undecided

Evilsquid, Well done on the run! I'm back to Jazzercise tonight for the first time since before Christmas:A - not sure if I'll be able to move tomorrow. Btw was watching Steve Blackshall (children's presenter who travels the world be bitten by various creatures). He was underwater today, catching a giant squid called a Red Devil!! Anyone you know?

LW, Your words today have stuck with me since I read them. I cannot think of anything that I, who has only just "met" you could say that wouldn't be trite or patronising or just plain rude. All I can say is that I hope you can focus on where you are now not what has been done to you. When you feel that you are "not worth it" please remember that even if you feel that you "don't like" yourself (and this goes for anyone on here from me) remember that we like you, I really enjoy reading your posts, and that we want people to be nice to the people we like so be nice to yourself! :)

Sorry, waffled on a bit there!
