Hello all
I wore my orange pashmina all day for fashion friday. It's a fab day for me tomorrow as I'm having my hair cut and then hopefully meeting my very glamourous friend for coffee. I will re-do my nails as well.
Hope everyone has a fab weekend

Good evening ladies
Some fantastic posts on here - lots of fabbing and loving the Fashion Friday outfits. Maman what a lovely compliment.
Well I wore mine, styled my hair and did my make up - felt so much better. Even the chest pains are easing a bit at last.:)
Totally agree with adelight's assessment of "healthy" eating. My plan now, is to use as little processed food as possible which when you read the lists of ingredients just look like something that's come straight out of a chemistry lab rather than a kitchen.
I do enjoy cooking but looking after OH and being so time constricted I tended to rely on short cuts, using packet sauces etc. Hopefully no more.
Tonight I cooked a lovely pork steak dish - in the past I would just have bought a packet of Somerset Pork sauce mix. Tonight I made my own sauce using some brandy and some home made plum chutney. It was delicious and of course I save about £1 on the packet sauce mix. Healthy and cheap - what's not to like.
So far this week I have stuck to my resolution not to shop in the big supermarkets, just the farm shop and the local co-op. I've saved a small fortune. A huge leek for 20p and a large courgette 20p from the Farm shop, cabbage from my garden. Obviously it's all more time consuming but the savings make it well worth while.
I will need to do a stock up so hoping to get to Aldi tomorrow.
OH is a sports freak and will spend most of tomorrow watching sport on TV - so rather than visit him during the day I will go tomorrow evening, like I did on New Year's Eve.
So tomorrow night will be "date night". I will take him some Chinese Food, a nice DVD and of course, get all dolled up.:D
Right must go now - it's the final part of something or other, can't for the life of me remember what it's called.:o Edit "Public Enemies" - really good.
Then I really must take the decorations down before midnight.;)
Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Keep fabbing.0 -
Just painting my nails a lovely pale blue colour, to my OH the shade is "blu tack"...Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0

Evening!
I made a real effort today with makeup, jewellery, perfume and a lovely dress. No-one noticed but I felt fabulous
It's how you feel that really counts. Anyway I bet they did notice, if not the details then they probably felt your "Aura" even if they weren't consciously aware of it.
Sorry if that sounds a bit New Age Hippy but I'm sure that's how it works.
Keep fraggle dancing. I love dancing round the kitchen, wooden spoon in hand (my microphone) pretending to be Tina Turner or Madonna. Just hope the neighbours can't see. :rotfl:0 -
Just a quick Hi all before i jump in a nice warm bath with lots of nice 'smelly oils'. After de-decorating the house and venturing up into the loft I actually got out my skirt, eventually found some tights without any holes (must go through my wardrobe soon) put on my heeled boots, my new coat and necklace and ventured out to the shops. Did feel a bit odd dressing up for shopping but hey I felt better for it. Found a nice top that wasn't black or grey and i didn't get tempted by any carbohydrate loaded treats.
Hope everyone had a good day, nice to hear people are feeling better.Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

I've tidied my bedroom and sorted out my make up a bit. ditched anything old or that i don't use anymore.
I'm off to read magazines in bed and think about all the wonderful things i can buy when i finally sort myself out0 -
adelight oh my i can't be seen without mascara!!! Pee holes in the snow comes to mind. I confess I took the make up off in the end, just didnt suit me. Made my eyes look too dark so perhaps for me and my colouring its not for daywear. I love your links to blogs, i for one would keep 'em comingI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Evening All,
I've decided 2012 is the year to reach my target weight. Need to get rid of baby fat (had first baby in June).
Is it too late to join?
I didn't start from the first as I was visiting Scotland for the holidays and therefore had more than my fair share of Irn Bru and take away food. However, I'm back today so time to get started!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
Up really early (5am:eek:) today to drop parents off at the airport for their holiday in Mexico (lucky b*ggers!). Not feeling very fab at the moment:o - have had a shower and washed and dried my hair but as yet no make up or other fab touches.
The dreaded star week has arrived and I feel better already - the wait is worse than the event if you know what I mean! I have done a sneaky weigh (felt a bit flatter and thinner) and I think I've lost another lb but won't report it formally until proper WI day in the week. If its true that's 5lbs now (target was initially 10lbs so half way there!).
Off to do the food shopping later - lots of fruit and veg, SW rules!
When I've actually woken up I will eventually do my nails, put some slap on and have a nice bath tonight. Exercise will be walking the hounds of the baskerville - we're off to the park as soon as its light and will do a long street walk later too.
Hope everyone has a lovely day - at least its not blowing a gale yet!0 -
welcome pnklipgloss. Um as for baby weight......does it count when your youngest is 3.5 years or am officially just fat
didn't do any zumba, H fitted bedroom carpet and then spent all afternoon putting the upstairs back to normality. This decluttering malarky is a night mare. Clutter one space and I either have more stuff to store and find a home for or it needs to the be gotten rid of, either to CS or tip. The that needs storing!
Off to local town to get some suede protector so I can wear my lush new boots that I bought in the sale (and I didn't pay the whopping price tag of 85 quid!). Also want to purchase some more eyeshadowI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
