2 dogs is no more work than 1 though.
If you met the two Lhasa Apsos, Derek and Clive, who stayed with me last year, you'd think twice about saying that.:D They were lovely though, and I'd have them back any time they want to come.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hi everybody. All your fab Friday outfits sound fantastic. Didn't join in this time as I have spent the day tidying and cleaning the house but feel much more organised now.

Thanks for all the replies folks
The less I eat (of treats) the easier it is getting. Reading back through my food diaries I am eating less chocolate as the week goes on! My cravings are reducing.

liz-paul I started my new eating plan yesterday (not calling it a diet!) and must admit found it quite hard after the past few months stuffing my face but it does get easier once you get in a routine. I usually allow myself a bit more to eat at the weekend, I've done this in the past and found I'm still able to lose weight, as long as I don't go too overboard!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Great names! :D Love dogs. Sadly I had to have my dog put to sleep last year, not quite ready for another one yet but I'm sure in the future I will have another.

Lots of positive fabness on here today. I've joined in Fashion Friday but nothing too glamorous as I've not been anywhere special. Like willow I got out a little cardie that I've not worn for ages. Lovely, turquoise colour and worn it with vest, jeans and ballet pumps. I'm into a sort of preppy look at the moment. I've done my make-up and I'm wearing my Troll bracelet! What was great was that as soon as DH saw me, he said 'Don't you look lovely!'. He's an absolute star!!

Love your dress Callisto but I'm glad you're keeping the other one as I really liked that too. Weren't you very mse and sensible to leave the shopping until after Christmas? Bargains!! Hope today's trip went well.

Liz-paul, I'm not a huge fruit fan either. I think it's mostly laziness but I definitely have more of a savoury tooth. I'd snack on those bits of tandoori chicken (easy to make your own) or other cold meat, fat free cottage cheese, baby beetroots. I am known to just spoon them straight into my mouth from the pot (:o) but ideally I'll microwave a quick jacket to go with them. An apple is much more palatable if you chop it up and mix it in a bowl with a few tbsps of cottage cheese. Frittata is good to have in the fridge too. Some of these do take a bit of prepping but it's worth it if it means you're not going to eat fattening snacks instead.

My sleep is all crazy at the moment too podperson. I take ages to nod off then wake up every two hours almost like clockwork???

LW, I'm disappointed for you that you got that response on the American website but I can't say I'm really surprised. I don't want to make sweeping generalisations but just listening to some of the speeches of these prospective Republican candidates, they do seem a bit ....extreme IYSWIM. I'm all for each to his own and free speech but some of the ideas make me feel very uncomfortable.

Fabbing for me today, as well as dressing up nicely. I've done OCM and showered and slathered and styled my hair. I need to piant my toenails later as I'm wearing open toed shoes to party tomorrow.

I've also cleaned out kitchen drawers (4), so no crumbs in the cutlery drawer any more!:rotfl:

Hope everyone's got something good to look forward to over the weekend.

    Evening all

Have worn my favourite red tunic top (recently bought in a 12 not 14!!) with legging and boots today and felt pretty fab!:j

I also wore my new bargain coat (£5 from Sainsbugs in the sale using nectar vouchers!) to work which I don't usually do. It did make me feel good but as the coat is orange and the top is red, I was certainly bright!:cool2:

Kept me smiling at the butchers and strescos and lidls! Didn't get home from work for hours!

Maman, no told me I looked good though! Lucky you!!

Had a lazy tea of burger and chips but I did have mine with lots of salad so there wasn't as much room for the chips and I didn't have a bun so better than it could be!

Podperson. Orange and lemon slices must be part of the five a day just like jaffa cakes - orangy bit

Got some perfume from lidls that smells just like a very expensive one I tried before Christmas - it's lovely and it's making me smile!:T

Thanks again for all the snack ideas! I could probably write my own diet book as I know tons about nutrition, exercise, healthy eating, weight loss eating (not always the same as healhty eating!!!) but sometimes its hard to see the wood for the trees. You've given me lots of good ideas & I'm going to do a bit of (healthy) baking this weekend. Thanks again for the suggestions and advice from EVERYONE. I often know what I should do, I just don't do it :o

Well I'm off to veg out in front of the telly (after doing the laundry & kids to bed), do my nails and feel smug that I went for a power walk before my (home cooked) healthy dinner :rotfl:

I sat at home writing some of the assignment in a new jumper and pair of skinny jeans and a silver cardi I don't wear very often along with my nice new scarf, meaning I did join in with the Fab Friday. It helped me keep nice a warm during the day too without the heating on

Then I took my dog on his medium sized walk and then took myself out on a 7 mile run which was very hard work indeed. Pretty tired now but glad its in the bag and I did it!

Fabwise I have slathered a lot of moisturiser on to counteract the harsh cold air out there, applied my nail oil and usual skincare routine

I will fab myself up tomorrow for a jaunt into town before returning to assignment hell in the afternoon for the long slog to the finish
