:T:T:T:T Well done you. Wowweee.
Hello & welcome to Prudent & Elle and any other newbies I might have missed.
Just a quickie for now - am a woman on a mission today. Cleaning and blitzing the downstairs. The downstairs looks reasonable now but the upstairs ........:eek: Never mind, bit by bit. Will try and get some of the disability equipment shifted soon and then can get cracking.
Didn't manage to get to Aldi's - plumber came to finish some bits and pieces. So am now trying to put the kitchen back to rights, just time to bathe and do some fabbing. Then off to see OH.
See you later x0 -
Thanks for all your well done's and best wishes. Still smiling inside about it and couldn't keep it in! I love this thread, how it reminds us how we are fab and we should see ourselves in this way. Plus it helps me keep on track and reminds me to do the little things I usually put to one side. So ladies lets wear our fab clothes, our fab jewellry or our fab make up. And, don't keep it for best, because we are best - everyday too.
Right back to the studying as I see to have put it off all day so far, catch up with you al laterfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Welcome Elle7 and Prudent.
Fedupandskint congratulations :beer:I’m quite envious. I’ve only just managed to squeeze into a size 14 with my weight loss and I know I’ve put some back on over the last two weeks. But I refuse to despair; I lost it before Christmas so I can lose it again now. I will get into a size 12.
Treated myself to a lovely pale cream top by Kaliko, Hubby was a bit open mouthed as I normally play safe and keep to grey and black. Should look lovely with a long dark set of beads. http://www.kaliko.co.uk/product.php?pageNum_rs_categories=3&totalRows_rs_categories=78&id=65520506
Seems I’m not the only one ‘fabbing’ the house. Cleaned the Kitchen from top to bottom AND I wore gloves!! Just had to do something, the house looks so drab without all the Christmas decorations.
Think I will try the aspirin face mask and give my nails some extra TLC. They actually look as if they’re responding to the care I’ve been giving them.Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Fedupandskint - Firstly, well done on your weight loss! Secondly, how did you do it? Did you follow a plan such as SW or WW or simply change your eating habits?
I'm trying to lose weight (again!) & I'm trying 'healthy eating'. No set rules but just trying to eat healthily. I'm keeping a food diary to help keep me in check and see ay slip ups but whats getting to me is that unlike plans like SW & WW after a week there is no change in my weight. OH is telling me not to weigh myself as I'm trying to change long term bad habits but it is kind of hard to stick with when there are no noticable changes in me. Anyone successfully lost weight simply through healthy eating and not calorie counting or following a plan?1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100

And did they fit? YES!!!! I fit (just) into a size 10 pair of trousers! OMG! I never imagined I would get into these really, I hoped so but this is a new experience for me.
Oh that is so great and inspiring although I know I will never fit into size 10s even years ago when I was underweight ( 7 1/2 st), not done deliberately death of my youngest daughter caused it. I could not fit into it, just to darn broad although 12s would hang on me they at least fitted over shoulders and hips.Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

Fabulous news Fedup, you must feel (and look!) amazingTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Thanks again - not too sure if I look amazing, pleased though! I don't think I'll fit into every single 10 out there as I'm still a 12 on top half which is fine by me as I'm happy at a size 12 however through diet and exercise I have lost 6.5 inches from my hips - I never realised I had some many inches to lose from there!
Plus 4 inches from my chest and a less impressive 3.5 inches from my waist.
I did it through Sainsburys Diets online using the food diary on there. It has been the only thing I've ever stuck to and believe me I've tried every fad diet out there and more and it was this that made me realise it was changing what I ate and doing more exercise needed to be done - common sense huh?
Recording food I ate on the food diary hit home what I needed to change and it took quite a few months for me to get used to it and to make the changes stick but I did and I am so glad I did!
The changes I made were not cooking with so much olive oil in a pan, cutting back on cheese, cutting out crisps and packs of biscuits and big bars of chocolate. See no surprises there is there?
I replaced them at work with building in my 5 a day and taking lots and lots of fruit to snack on and making myself eat it and then I started to enjoy eating fruit again. Then for evening meal cutting back on potato portions and having more veg. Again a struggle at first but I really enjoy eating veg now. And I always made sure I took all my food to work and uni instead of buying it at lunch time
Then I realised I had to get a bit more active, even though I ran regularly and this involved taking my dog on longer walks after work and stopped making excuses not to go further. Now we go on the longer walk after work and do it quicker than before and it no longer seems a long way, just a nice 40 min walk to do us both good!
Anyway, I'll stop going on about it now but I really wanted to let you all know if you want to do it you can! Whatever changes you want to make you can do it.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Fedupandskint, thank you. You are an inspiration
I've done 10 minutes of rowing today, and just had home-cooked fish and chips for tea. Okay, not the healthiest, but usually I have McDonalds/KFC/Dominoes/whatever else I can get relatively easily without using a kitchen or disturbing anyone, so it's good by my standards! Plan to another 10 minutes later. The machine says 10 minutes of relatively fast rowing burnt 38 calories? A bit demotivated by that but I'll try and stick with it.0
