Thank you fedupandskint, you've strengthened my resolve (for today :D). You sound a lot like me in what you needed to do & what I'm trying to do. Well done again, it is no small achievement :T

Again thanks fedupandskint, I know if I just change to healthy eating I will lose but I know me I need the idea of going to group to keep going, hence joining SW.

Well this might not sound like much to anyone but at moment pain levels are down and energy not to bad and as mentioned got another treadmill. So today from around 5am till now I have actually walked 1km on it. As said might not seem much but for someone who spends about 85% of time in bed going on this just for a few mins at a time and doing 1km is wonderful for me. Overall took me 23 mins but as said that was just in one or two minute intervals sometimes needing a short break other times had to leave it longer. I do have to hold on all the time as legs especially right one likes to do its own thing so outside I use a crutch to ensure I stay upright, and outside with legs not quite doing there thing sometimes if I have to change to miss a raised bit or a hole legs refuse, no problems like that on treadmill, but its 1km more than I have done in a long time as I realise now how bad old treadmill was, hardly any incline and moved to easy, this new one gives me more to work against so more of a work out and more calories used it ( machine said I had used up 79 for the km). So my aim is to try and do a km a day for a while ( there will be days when I won't get on it at all I accept that) but try and get my speed up ( avg 3km/min) than try to be doing a marathon in 6 months. I do stay on till heart is beating faster and stay on as long as I can with it, but as said only about 2 mins as so very unfit, but as they say every bit helps :)

So even though its nothing to most of you for me it feels so good to have done even that little amount.

  • fedupandskint well done and thanks for your inspiring posts! You've really motivated me to stick to my own weight loss goals.

Am off now for a nice relaxing bath, exfoliating and moisturising, then I'm going to do a manicure whilst I watch tv.
  • Hi All, wow I have only been away for a couple of days. I can't belive how busy the thread is. I have tried to read through all the posts. Well done to everyone on the fabbing.

LL I love the idea of Fashion Friday. Will defo join in next Friday.

Have been doing ok on the fabbing front. Spent some of my Christmas money on some new eyeshadows from the clini**e counter in boots. They are in a tube and you just put them on with your finger - clini**e did these years ago I and I loved them but they stopped them for a while. The new ones are called lid smoothie. Was a bit unsure when I realised they were £17 each:eek: but now that I am using them I absolutely love them. They look fab on and have a really good finish. Will defo be allocating part of my spends budget next month to getting another one in a different colour. They are great for relaxed day wear make up.

    Congrats Fedup!

Not sure if I've ever been a ten! lol

Not much fabbing with me today sadly! Im doing an essay that needs to be in this week, as i work full time and do college too im finding it hard fitting it all in. Today i didnt put any make up on and yes i wore my joggers (sorry for swearing) as i thought if id made the effort to look tidy id want to go out of the house rather than sit in and do my essay!

    Hi all
Just caught up with the thread.
Well done Fedupandskint size 10 woo hoo!
Prepareathome it doesn't matter how long it takes you to finish a distance, the most important thing is that you are on your treadmill and moving, as you say every little helps.
Hope everyone has a fab day tomorrow

Sparkles aka fed up well done. I wish I had your determination :o:o

Lovely lady in Boots gave me a sample of the Lancome primer :T so looking forward to having a play with that tomorrow. Also bought some more eyeshadows so will make an effort to put some on every day.
Taking kids swimming tomorrow morning so will fit in a couple of laps. I need to remember the joy of moving my body :o I think most exercise bores me to tears but dancing I always love. However having a good boogie in the kitchen is something I prefer to do when I am alone as I can really let my hair own :o Be glad when H goes back to work next week ;)

Fedupandskint, thank you. You are an inspiration :)

I've done 10 minutes of rowing today, and just had home-cooked fish and chips for tea. Okay, not the healthiest, but usually I have McDonalds/KFC/Dominoes/whatever else I can get relatively easily without using a kitchen or disturbing anyone, so it's good by my standards! Plan to another 10 minutes later. The machine says 10 minutes of relatively fast rowing burnt 38 calories? A bit demotivated by that but I'll try and stick with it.
Oh, doesn't that just hack you off? I find that it's just easier not to eat that mars bar than to spend four hours running to shift the equivalent amount of calories. Would be interesting to see how long we have to run (or row, or swim) for to burn off certain foods. I'm sure it would just stop me eating rubbish in the first place!

    Good luck!

Well done Fed Up and Prepareathome - both fantastic achievements in their own right:T:T
The only further fabbing done today has been a 40 min walk with the dogs this afternoon and a relaxing bath. Will cleanse and moisturise before bed and use hand cream.
For the first time ever I have finished a tube of handcream and have to start a new one - they're definitely a bit smoother and less dry, still have big fat sausage fingers though:rotfl:
