Well managed to put the make up on before the school run etc. had a few compliments from the mums at the gate.So the blazer worked. Made me feel good. The rest of the day was in the hospital and at councilling.
I must try and keep up the makeup etc it certainly makes me feel better.

I hope all the headaches are now subsiding, and that people are starting to feel better. My headaches from last week, with the reactions to the new tablets, and that was like having my head in a vice! not nice. Wouldnt wish it on anyone.

MooLoo - get you and your trendy get up! I do like a blazer, I've got a couple and with jeans they make you look like you've made an effort when you haven't really;) Very slimming too.

Hope LL is feeling better - good news about the chair too, at least the nursing home are trying to help out.

LW - I'd love to have all of your furry guests (somehow that sounds wrong:rotfl:) - I'm looking after my friend's dog during half term so will have an extra 4 paws to wipe for a while.

Today was actually quite good - got lots done admin wise, teaching went well and I did an extra 45 mins revision after school with a bunch of very grateful and eager girls, its sooo much easier when they're keen. Not too much to do tonight either workwise so happy days!

I didn't manage to do the facemask last night so that's tonight's little mission along with a defuzz and bath.
This shortened week is great too - nearly the weekend again:T
I'm trying to be a bit frugal until payday next week so its good that the days seem to be passing quickly. This weekend I'm going to the local theatre on Friday (ticket already paid for) and don't have anything much planned for the rest of the weekend so no big spends on the near horizon.

Right, enough woffle, I'm off to make a potato bake with lots of veggies for tea to try to keep up the 5 a day thing and make me glow with health and vitality......make take some time and a bit more than an onion, pepper and tomatoes.....:o

Hi everybody, since my last post, I have been reading a lot to discover, why, when and how my health began and continues to be a problem. Very insightful which suggests it will be a difficult task to improve/solve.

The last few days, due to backache, has made me think about how fortunate I am that this is only temporary. Also, how some "normal" life things are meaningful and also sadness for others unwell.

As for "fabbing", it's been a mixed experience. Things got "too much" so I ate too much and resorted to my usual unpleasant opinion of myself. Anyway, a bad experience with a shopper has made me more determined to feel "fab". (Crazy how others should not treat you badly but not much own self TLC!) Anyway, chanced getting in the bath which was so nice after not being able to for awhile; my "fab" moment in response to the upsetting shop incident.

    Good Evening

Busy day today - it just whizzed past.

Feeling much better - head still a bit fuzzy but much easier than it was thanks.

Went out to lunch with mum and dad. Mum looked well and happy and loved the flowers I bought her - half a dozen big fat creamy roses and a dozen small red roses, some striking foliage and all done up in a pretty ribbon, courtesy of Asda for £10.

I had previously gone into a proper florist because I really wanted to get her something special.

The florist had hardly anything - a couple of very tired looking "bouquets" which were obviously just leftovers from the weekend. One so-called "bouquet" was made up of one Asiatic Lily and padded out with some very ordinary white and yellow chrysanths. They wanted £20 for that. The £25 had one had two lilies. :rotfl: - so by my reckoning thats £5 per lily. (You can get a nice bunch of lilies in Asda for £5).

The florist herself had nipped out and I asked her assistant to please make me up a fresh bouquet - there were plenty of flowers in buckets. He refused, said he didn't know how, so I left the shop.

I am not mean - especially when it comes to buying flowers for my Mum. I would willingly have paid the £20 to £25. After all at aged 87 Mum really doesn't want any more bric a brac, she's got more family photos than she knows what to do with, she can't be bothered with big days out, and she's told me not to buy her clothes etc. She loves flowers more than anything else. I always take her flowers every time I visit - just a little something - so when it's for her birthday I don't mind pushing the boat out.

I really like to try and support local shops and businesses but I thought that was just plain greed and taking the mickey, so Asda it was. :o

Mooloo - your blazer ensemble sounds fab. I do think a jacket or blazer is a great addition to a wardrobe and can be a real investment piece. It can sit happily with a pair of jeans for a smarter casual look and can look very elegant when worn over a pretty dress.

My dad - always a very snazzy dresser - wore his navy blazer today, with grey trousers and a blue and white striped shirt. He's 86, still nearly 6 ft tall and still walks like the professional soldier he was. With his silver hair and military bearing he's still a head turner. His blazer must be at least 20 years old and it still looks good - a great investment.

The restaurant was full of "ladies wot lunch" and he got plenty of admiring glances and second looks. He pretended not to notice but I think he secretly enjoyed it.

Popped into Aldi - did a mini stock up, came home, cooked dinner and fell asleep on the sofa. Still tired so it's off to bed in a minute.

All these backaches and headaches - what a load of old crocs we are. I think it's all this rain that's to blame.

    G'night all X

I my opinion some supermarket flowers last far longer than those from the florist! Sainsbugs flowers are extremely good, don't blush because they came from Asda, no point chucking good money away and I am sure your mum would agree ;)

I agree that it doesnt matter where the flowers came from, or how much they cost. Its the gift that counts, and if they look good, thats why you buy them in the first place. Sight and smell of flowers!.

I stayed up far too late yesterday, drank too much wine, and this morning I am too tired, and somewhat jaded! oops. With an upset stomach to match. dont think my tummy was ready for the wine, after the upset last week! double oops.
DGD is supposed to be going to nursery, in about 10 minutes, but neither of us are dressed and I am not sure I can actually be bothered to rush!:o I may just keep her at home for once. :(
BF is supposed to be coming over this evening, so I usually have a shower, defuzz etc. That will make me feel better. I may actually have a good old Bubble bath this afternoon, as with DS around, I dont have to worry about getting stuck in the bath!. Although the joints have been much better of late so I dont see why I should, but just incase.
I have a mountain of ironing to attack, so thats a good time to sort out some clothes for charity, sewing or the like and find something to wear for later. I hate ironing with an avengence so its always waiting to be done, but the pile is overtaking the bedroom again, and I am at that, nothing much to wear moment again!.

Well I'm another year older today! but not deeper in debt.:rotfl:

Aim to have a relaxing day after a stressful week.:)
Was going for a family meal but DS has an exam so we are going tomorrow instead. :)

    LW ...I'm your friend, lizzie.:o

    Thankyou LW :) x

Hope you are doing ok today LW. The provision for physio in your area seems lacking I've had more than 8 sessions and my problem is possibly not as bad as yours. Its a slow process and 8 sessions just doesn't seem enough to me.

LL- Glad your mum had a good day yesterday. I often send supermarket flowers for all occasions as you seem to get much better value for money. The ones you chose sound lovely. Hope you are feeling better.

Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all well.:)

Wish me luck for tomorrow it's the ESA appeal. Beginning to think it's just not worth the hassle for £28/£32 depending which group he gets put in if we win, as rent and council tax will probably want some of it. All this stress for a few pounds, if it wasn't for making a point I'd be tempted to forget it. -I'll let you know how we go on. Anyway off for a walk with doggy
    See you later. x
