    Hi all,

LL - welcome back! Glad to see you had a lovely time and are raring to go now :) Some good M's - love the Magic one.

WW - yay on the divorce, officially a free woman as well as a fab one :j

Morocha - HRT is hormone replacement therapy, though at 27 I don't know if you might be a little young to be prescribed it. As LL says though there are natural remedies out there and could be worth asking your GP if they can suggest anything. Are there any triggers you could look for to try and stop yourself? The fact that you notice and care about it shows you are a great mum and am sure your daughter knows that x

evilsquid - yay on the half stone, great start :j

The Mother's one is a little difficult I suppose. While I have had my share of ups and downs with my mum, especially when I was younger, I was always aware that she did love me really and was doing what she thought was best so can't really imagine what people like Molly and LW have gone through :( I'm not one of those people who think everything is forgiveable, there are lines that can be crossed and sometimes you are just better off without people in your life - no matter what relation they may be to you. The only thing I would say is that holding onto anger and resentment tends to hurt you more then anyone else so if you can find a way to try and let that go that it can only be a good thing. It's a sad thing when your parents can ruin your childhood but much worse if they damage your whole life because you can't move on from what they've done. Anyway, like I said, just my thoughts so hope I don't offend x

Anyway, had a rather lazy night last night. Have a short choir gig at a corporate place tomorrow so must get some fabbing down tonight as my hair is a mess. Also have nothing to wear as she's changed her mind again on the dress code and now wants smart all-black clothes with red accessories. I have no time to go shopping properly so guess am stuck with my black work pants and will go to asda on the way home from work tonight to see if I can find a nice black top that doesn't cost too much - oh and some red accessories
Ah well, OH is out filming until stupidly late tonight so at least will have a quiet house to get on with stuff. Also was quite brave and put up an ad asking for people who want some free portrait photos doing so I can build up the portfolio - quite scary but hope at least a few people answer.

I am one of those people that are tired all the time.

Morocha have you been to see your GP? Its not normal to be tired all the time. Get blood tests, especially your iron levels. And how are you sleeping? Do you get enough zzzzs and without interruptions? I find when I have PMT I have a couple of days when I need to sleep extra, and now that I don't fight this I see a difference.

all I really need to do is ... drink gallons of coffee!:D[/QUOTE]

Lamewolf Lots of coffee - sounds like my kind of day:)

Podperson shame you're not closer to MK, I'd have happily loaned you a black top, and a skirt too, come to that, and ferretted round to see if I had any red accessories, too. Does this woman think you all have bottomless pits for purses??

Not feeling fab today after being a) let down and b) not well after almost fainting on a run last night.

At least have caught up with the housework, sports massage is on hold after the physio sent me home as I looked so unwell and advised me to not run for the next few days as it might be a virus making me feel this way. Might do a feet treatment and pamper while I attempt to do some assignment rewriting for the next couple of hours.

Completely forgot yesterday to wish you happy divorce WW - you certainly sound very bright and happy so it must be the right thing indeed for you

Aww, thanks LW. It's ironic because I used to do the whole goth look so about 90% of my wardrobe was black but with going up and down in sizes and trying to look for colour more when I get new things I don't seem to have anything in black that doesn't have a pattern or something on it. Is rather annoying as she was acting like she was doing us all a favour by letting us 'dress up' instead of the t-shirts and we can 'see what's in our wardrobes for the April one' - er nothing, I was going to buy something but thought I had 4 weeks notice to look round a bit - *sighs*

The dress is a long brilliant blue, with purple flowers etc on it with a tie string that goes around the neck, laced with some beads.
Its a bit long so I will need to take the hem up on it.
Will take a photo when I get the chance.
Still debating if meeting up for a drink is wise with ex, (well he is not an ex legally we never divorced, but went our separate ways 8 years ago). Dont want him to get the wrong idea. I will sleep on it.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

    WW congratulations :j
morocha ((hugs)) have you been to your gp to check everything is normal? i'm always tired because i have sleep apnea but because it's not caused by being overweight my gp won't do anything about it... funny how they are so good with people who have got themself in a mess but won't give the time of day to people who try their best to look after their health  oops, anyway, i find eating boat loads of fruit & veg and b vitamins help :o
well done evilsquid and good luck
willow ((hugs)) how's your job going?
podperson i know this sounds scummy but if you are stuck for cash and will only wear it once... leave the tag on the top and take it back tomorrow? just use one stitch through the hole on the tag or around the plastic stick to keep the tag inside the top. i know, i know it's bad but i have done this once or twice or returned something without a tag after washing it.
mooloo enjoy your massage and mooloo-time

Good afternoon everyone. I'm feeling very frazzled, was going to have a relaxing night with a bath, face mask etc but just rememered a few minutes ago that I have another assignment due tonight and it's a biggie :wall:
I'm drinking this right now, I had to share because the mix of colours from the beetroot and broccoli is fantastic. The organic stall at market had lots of stuff reduced today so I got about a dozen beets, big cauli, 2 big broccoli heads and a carrier bag of greens for £3. Bowl of broccoli for tea? :rotfl:
Clothes wise I haven't worn uggs in four whole days! Not even ugg loafers, I've been wearing... real shoes!!! I'm playing around with my new BB creams atm, they're quite good but maybe my expectations are too high and they haven't worked out how to bottle miracles yet.
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:

MooLoo - the frock sounds lovely - right up my street
EvilSquid - well done on the half stone - I think I've borrowed it!:rotfl:
Lame Wolf - Woofer is absolutely fine again now - its like nothing ever happened thankfully, We're just back from a big run around the park and he's starving and kicking his bowl around - so everything is back to normal!

Fedup - hope you're feeling a bit better- take it easy.

Thanks to everyone for their "Happy Divorce" greetings:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Much appreciated!

Not too much to report today - need to do a bit of maintainance fabbing tonight - toenails, face scrub .... the usual stuff really.
Nearly the weekend and then the dreaded hair dying needs to be done too:(

I've been keeping up with reading but haven't seemed to manage posting for days. Good to see you back from your break LL. It sounds really lovely walking on the beach and catching up with old friends.

May I share in your congratulations on the divorce ww. Like someone else said, if you're happy then I'm happy for you.:) While I love my DH dearly I do think that men can be highly over rated!:rotfl: Some women seem to be obsessed with the idea that they just have to have a man in their lives. I think you're better off without a partner than in a bad place with the wrong one.

The weather's been really good here again today. I took a trip to a nearby town and went bra hunting! It was a good day to go as most people didn't want to be shopping so I went to a family run department store that has a good lingerie department. The assistant was so kind and patient. I got measured and then she brought me dozens and dozens to try on as it was so difficult to get the right fit. In the end I went for this:
    LIZBETH-PEONY-UNDERWIRED-BRA-SIDE-SUPPORT-2122.jpg
as it fitted me best. As I have literally no bras that fit me I should have got a white one and a black one but now I know my size I can have a look around elsewhere for basics.

My nails are a bit of a mess at the moment, especially on one hand. Later, I'm going to file them and have a real break from usual (French/American) and have short, bright coloured nails. I think your habits must be catching willow.

I was at the opera too last night LW, we saw Cosi Fan Tutte. DH was asking if I just go to humour him but over time I've got to enjoy it. This was a touring group at a local theatre so tickets not too expensive. I must admit I refused to buy tickets for La Boheme that's coming to a big theatre in the city centre. I went on the website and the tickets were fairly expensive but when I got to the end of the transaction and they added booking fees and admin fees etc etc (about £11 worth) I just cancelled and sent an email telling them they'd lost business because I'm not being ripped off. I got a patronising response about how they aren't subsidised and have to raise money somehow! I'll stick to small companies and another thing I like is those live showings at some cinemas.

I've found the 'mother' thread quite uncomfortable at times. Ironically, not because I had a bad time as a child, far from it. My discomfort is more from how good a mother I am myself. It isn't that I don't care about my children but I care about myself too so I haven't just put them first come what may. One of my DDs is now an almost SAHM and I think she's wasting her life and education. She says she plans to get back into the workforce proper in a year or so but I think she enjoys the 'yummy mummy' life too much. Meanwhile I just live with the guilt.....

Too much rambling, need to sort out some dinner. Back soon.
