WW - I just want to say :T:T:T:T on your "Life Revamp" - all that money conserving, personal fabbing, house fabbing, new car etc. You are doing so well - here's a huge pat on the back from me. You've obviously worked hard and you've every right to feel satisfaction with your success.

Thanks LL! Good luck with your plans and great to hear you had a good break.

One mega piece of news today - I'm now OFFICIALLY DIVORCED:j:j:j:j
I am one happy chappy and can now Move on!
In fact, since he went life has just got better - I'm my own person, have done a lot of things including sorting the house and finances, getting promoted, changing the car etc but I just feel like me again!

I know divorce for some people is an incredibly sad time but I'm elated!

On a more mundane front - the new blinds have been fitted this afternoon and look quite nice - all new and clean and finish off the two redecorated bathrooms.

Right, I'm off to make some tea and have a celebratory glass of wine:p

Then as I was coming out I saw one of those pop up shops, and had a mooch, decided to be a bit naughty and spent £10 on a maxi dress. I know I could probably make one, but its finding the right fabrics to do so. I may use it as a template to make other at a later date if I like the wear/feel of it.
Now its where can i wear it, unless I am on holiday.?
Exhubby has invited me out for a drink one lunchtime. Could be interesting. (its not the BF that I just split up with after 8 years.).
Anyway we will see what transpires.

What's the new frock like? I'm a big fan of the maxi dress - hides a multitude of sins!
Interesting times with your ex.....keep us posted (not that I'm nosey;))!

Fabbing update -not too much really apart from usual skincare routine. Just debating whether to drag myself out for a run tonight. Think I should after have eaten quite a lot today :o

    Next week's fab plans
[STRIKE]Mon - run, hair prewash treatment first thing[/STRIKE]
    Tues - defuzz, [STRIKE]hair mask[/STRIKE]
Wed - run, moisture face mask, treat feet
Thursday - long dog walk, nails tidy up, feet pamper, defuzz and sports massage
Friday, long dog walk, long run, face mask and recovery bath
    Magic

Introduce a little magic into life and escape the mundane . Stop and look around occasionally - gaze at the sky, drink in the glories of nature, bask in the affection of loved ones, cook a special meal and serve with love and a beautifully set table. It's all free;)

Couldn't agree more, I love to gaze at the sky when I run or walk my dog, look at the trees, gaze at nature and the seasons whichever part of the year we are in :D

Right run time shortly, think I'd better go and drag myself out for half and hour or so

lessonlearn, Thank you so much for your post about our mothers. Mine was not perfect, did lots of things wrong but I love her deeply and forgave her.
My problem is myself, unconciously I copy many of her ways with my own daughter and feel so awful, I did not have a lovely mum ( growing up)to copy to learn how to treat kids... sometimes, usually when PMT, I am absolutely horrible, and feel so sad, today is one of those days, I feel so sad , I feel like running away.

PMT is awful isn't it. I found that I was always snapping and shouting at my children when I suffered from PMT. I would explode at them for no reason and they would get very upset and confused. It was very distressing. My poor boys (and my OH) felt that they were living in the shadow of a volcano. :o I would erupt over nothing.

Now that you've established a pattern with your moods and you've made the link between PMT you are in a position to do something about it.

How old is your daughter. Is she old enough for you to explain what is going on. If she is too young you could just explain that you've been poorly and that you are going to see the doctor who will make you better.

In the short term I think you should sit and have a chat with her. Apologise for the upsets, lots of cuddles and do something nice together.

In the longer term I think you should try and get some help with your PMT. Don't let it spoil things with your family.

I eventually chose HRT. It saved my sanity, without it I felt that I was losing my marbles. If you are not happy with the thought of HRT you could try herbal or natural remedies. I found Vitamin B and Evening Primrose Oil very helpful. Have a look at the Menopause Thread - there's lots of helpful advice on there.

You may not be technically menopausal yet but there is a thing called "peri-menopause". This is the slow build up to the menopause, when oestrogen levels start falling and your hormones become unbalanced. This can lead to erratic periods and increased PMT. It can begin as early as in your 30's. I was about 37 when my PMT really kicked in.

Good luck - hope you feel better soon.

WW - :T:T On your divorce.:rotfl::rotfl: Enjoy your stress free new found freedom.:D

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I am 27 and she is 4, a lovely but hyperactive child and I am one of those people that are tired all the time. A friend of mine has given me some herbal remedies but apparently I have to take them for 3 months before I can see a difference. What is HRT ? :)

Evilsquid Congratulations, that is a lot !!

I think easier said than done and I know Lame Wolf and I have had similar family experiences which have left very deep scars.
Well said, Molly. I think, much as we'd all like to find something good to say, there are some people who are simply a nasty piece of work, and it's best all round to stay out of each others' life. *Wry grin* I've had more counselling in one lifetime than anyone should be asked to endure in three, and it actually made things worse. Eventually I made myself a promise, never to endure any more "talking therapies".;)

Congratulations, WW:beer: I remember the feeling well - with my XH, his idea of "helping" me down the stairs was with a shove, (I hope yours didn't do anything like that btw) so I know the elation of which you speak. How's the little Woofkin doing, btw?:o

Mr LW's back at work today, he just had two days' leave, one for the Equinox, and then a second because we were going to the opera and needed to leave here before 18:30; so we did useful stuff like wash the curtains, and he's mowed the back [STRIKE]lawn[/STRIKE] tatty bit of grass, and we've taken beeswax polish to every bit of wooden furniture we could find (even the mirror and clock surrounds in the bathroom!:D)

Opera was very enjoyable - Hector Berlioz "Beatrice and Benedict". I actually wore my wedding dress!:D

Cream crackered today of course - but we're ahead of today's normal allocation of housework :T so all I really need to do is my email (I do loads of online surveys), see to Dylan's needs, and make a pizza for tonight's dins - the dough is currently being made in the breadmaker. Oh, and drink gallons of coffee!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
