WelshWoofer - well done on the beans and toast, very saintly indeed :)

LW - sorry to hear your mum was bad too. It's really sad that the person who's meant to love you the most no matter what is the opposite. I think my mum hates me so much as I'm the double of my day in looks and personality, and she completely despises him. No excuse for her obviously but if I keep this thought in mind it helps it feel less personal if you get me?

podperson - thank you for the kind words, brought a tear to my eye. I don't really see myself as those things that much, although I'm getting better at recognising if I am good at something. I think though when you hear something for 25 years it sticks for a long time after.

Fab-wise I french braided my hair this morning and it's looking pretty good if I say so myself! It's only been long enough to do this for a few months and I've only ever done it on damp hair before and at weekends/nights when I've plenty of time so am well impressed my practising is paying off!

another week has passed & despite a lovely birthday meal (for my sister) at Romeo's on Penarth seafront (highly recommended if you're in that neck of the woods)and a wake I still lost a kilo. I'm now a stone lighter than I was three weeks ago, I just wish all weight loss was this easy.

I've not been sleeping well as I keep worrying about organising my daughter's wedding. I know it's her job but not only couldn't she organise a p&&& up in a brewery, she wouldn't find the brewery in the first place. So yesterday I started on the guest list as then we'll know what size venue we're looking for . We live in Somerset & they want the wedding in Cornwall so they have to check venues when they're next in Cornwall (hopefully easter).

Tomorrow is my mother's day treat, I'm being taken out for a meal by my daughter, don't know if no1 son is coming to see me on sunday or not & no2 son is at uni in Salford so I won't be seeing him for sure. Now wondering what to wear tomorrow night, it's only in a pub so nothing too dressy but I don't want to look scruffy which is a probelm as I mainly have either dressy or scruffy clothes, nothing in between fits & I'm skint so something new is out . At least I can do my nails ......

Been a bit awol this week feeling a bit run down and time of the month. so after consuming quite a bit of choccy at least I kept the exercise going this week with 2 runs in a bit quicker times.

Today have taken the dog out for a long walk this morning as am off work to do some assignment writing. Also fabbing the house up ready for mum's visit on Mother's Day, making a start with sweeping and mopping the floors. Off to get some shopping in next then its down to some studying and a bit more cleaning then another dog walk and a long long run later this afternoon.

Wish me luck - its the longest I've done so far!

Bratz (((HUG))) I've long believed in the saying "friends are the family you choose for yourself". Of course, if that's the case, my family all have four legs and a tail.:D Right now I'm waiting for the latest guest to arrive, in fact.;)

Mooloo I know what you mean; luckily I'm married to my carer, but of course, should my health improve, my DLA will go down. Doesn't exactly give one an incentive to try and do the best for oneself. I hope your DGD is feeling a bit better.

Hamsterfan I think if that was me, I'd go for the nicest of the "scruffy" stuff, and make sure it's clean and ironed, and put a bit of jewellery or something with it. I bet it's not that scruffy.;) Have a great time, in any case.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hi all,

WW - am very impressed, seems like you're fabbing all aspects of your life :D hope you have a great weekend x

Mooloo - hope GD is feeling better and you enjoyed the hand massage - reminds me actually, I was getting massages from a friend who's training for her qualification but haven't seen her lately so haven't had one since xmas. Might have to have give her a bell :)

Bratz - ooh, I would love to be able to do french braids, I'm hopeless with plaits though - end up doing a side one most of the time as if I try to do a normal one it just comes out squint anyway :o

hamsterfan - yay on the weight loss, a stone in 3 weeks is brilliant :j with the scruffy vs dressy clothes if it's something in the middle I tend to try either dressing up or down something - at the moment am trying to wear my 'nicer' clothes more so could wear a dressy top but with jeans and simple hair/make up, or the other way could wear more scruffy things but like LW says dress them up a bit say with heels and some nice accessories

Feeling a bit frazzled this week, script is not going well and ideally need to post it tomorrow morning so has to be done today, and if I don't finish before 5pm will have to try and send OH off to his uni to get it printed, which I don't think he'll be happy about, as we don't have a working printer at home :(
Just want to have it done now and then can hopefully just switch off and relax for the weekend - plus really need to try and get some fabbing done, hair and nails are both a mess at the moment, eep!

Had a fab bra fitting session this morning with a lovely lady who helped me find a style and size that fit perfectly. Thought I'd better get remeasured after the weight loss over the last year.

Have chucked out the old ones that don't fit now and have been well worn and replace with 2 new ones that fit prefectly.

What else, walked up to town and back for some extra exercise and in a bit will take Mr Dog on a long walk if we can dodge the showers long enough!

Ran for 11.8 miles yesterday and legs ok today so must be getting used to the distance now at last.

Thinks its about time I fabbed myself up some more with a face mask pamper session as my skin needs it and I haven't done one for a couple of weeks. Also need to sort my poor feet out a bit too as they're hammered by all this running!

Well the pamper night was a great success. I enjoyed my massage, but would have loved to have had a longer session. I also had a tarot reading done. Well that was fun, and if it comes true even better! But I will not worry if not. I was doing it for fun not for real questions.
I also had several glasses of wine, and some pizza! So it was a good time had by all. The young mums accepted me, and we all had long natters. Mind you when one of them asked about my problems and the tablets that I am on, she said she was surprised I was able to function on that lot! I said that when I was first on them, I didnt, and I still need to have a rest in the afternoons when I can. Alas the weekend I find it harder to rest as DGD is at home.
I had my shower this morning, and feel much better, and remembered the moisturiser etc. But havent done anything else.
Tomorrow I dont have any plans, Biggest of Mooloo gave me a pamper kit from Avon for mothers day. (gave it to me when I was babysitting yesterday). So I may have a good old soak etc tomorrow night with some of it all. Although I suppose I ought to use up some of my older things first.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I am enjoying reading the thread but not much good at posting lately. I've been trying to keep off here late at night and earlier in the day has been a bit manic (hence needing my sleep).

Your post struck a chord with me sparkles as I'm desperate for new bras. Like you, mine don't fit after the weightloss. I have a favourite shop that's in a nearby town and I've been trying to co-ordinate a visit with their market day. I think I'm going to have to give up on that and just go any day I can fit in or go to John Lewis or somewhere local.

I bought a really nice skinny top today and I know I can't think of wearing it until I get a new bra. I also bought a new Trollbead which was my birthday present from DH (although he didn't know it at the time:D).

Glad you had a good time at the pamper session mooloo. I love things like that. Great that you got on well with all the young mums. I think that's what happens when you have something in common, it gives you a point of contact and then age isn't an issue.

    Back soon.

Not much fabbing done yesterday apart from walking. After a family visit today I will pop a face mask on, a quick deep cleansing mud pack I think.

Had a lovely run this morning in the spring air which I enjoyed, 6 miles. Next run is tomorrow - 4 miles

    Next week's fab plans
Mon - run, hair prewash treatment first thing
    Tues - defuzz, hair mask
Wed - run, moisture face mask
Thursday - long dog walk, nails tidy up, feet pamper
Friday, long dog walk, long run, face mask and recover bath
