Hello fabbers,
Am feeling a bit like my old self after a rough couple weeks! Job situation still the same but will take steps to rectify it.
Also have to start believing in myself, been told this week by 3 seperate male friends that I'm attractive. Not sure where this has come from as I don't believe it myself and hate looking in the mirror (yes my confidence is that bad)
A lot more work is needed I think! Does everyone else have insecurities?

Just been catching up on everyone's news. :Tadelight and better luck on 20th, evilsquid.
Enjoy the new car tomorrow ww, and say hello to welsh wales for me at the weekend.
I've been awol, celebrating my birthday over a long weekend. Had a lovely time with friends and family and have to say that thanks to this thread, I feel a year (at least) younger than at my last birthday.
Tonight I've been to the 'Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' with a friend. It's a really 'feel good' film with lovely vibrancy in the shots of India. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I'm wearing my current favourite outfit: CS rust velvet skirt, black skinny jumper, rust/black sort of paisley scarf, opaques and ballet pumps. I wore it with my black velvet coat when I went out, felt really good.
Have a good time in Devon LL, when d'you leave? and what part are you visiting?
:wave:everyone else. I'll catch up soon but determined to get a good night's sleep. I'm off to the theatre tomorrow and I have a habit of falling asleep during the play.:o0 -

No - Actually I'm fabulous dahhhling. :rotfl::rotfl:
And so are you!!!!!!
You need to stop that negativity. Now.
Seriously, I'm the one with scars on my face remember - from when I had to have my birthmark removed when it became cancerous.
If I can learn confidence to overcome my facial disfigurements anyone can.
Even without the scars I'm no oil painting - never was. No I'm not being modest, I'm a trained beauty therapist remember - I'm being objective about my looks. I just learned how to make the most of what I'd got.
My Aunt - a very glamourous 87 years old has a little ditty.
A little bit of powder, a little bit of paint
Can make a thing seem, just what it aint
Make up, a good hairstyle, some nice flattering clothes, but above all a big happy smile will work wonders.
Three separate compliments from male friends - are you saying they are all need their eyes testing.:rotfl::rotfl:
Just accept the compliments for what they are - your friends just appreciate the fact that you look good.:D Doesn't that make you feel good.;)0 -

well I most definately feel a year older today
Belated happy birthday wishes maman x
have felt like I have wanted to hide in a very dark corner for the past 2 weeks. Have had the most horrendous spot break out for a very long time and theyve taken ages to start to get better (still not quite there yet). Teenage spots? Pah I ought to deck the person that said that. Does anyone have any fool proof remedies for clearing them up asap? I have tried toothpaste in the past but that gave me a burn
LL Confidence in my looks is severly lacking (especially after this last couple of weeks) so where do you start?
Evilsquid all the best for your next interview, positive vibes xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -

Happy Birthday to you x
I take the time to put some nice clothes on and make sure my hair is looking nice - it seems to give me a lift and boosts my confidence. In fact I would say that having nice hair is the most important for me. I can cope with anything if my hair is nicely cut and coloured.
I remember that when we had building work the dust gave me terrible spots so Im sure that they will recede now the work is finished. Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
podperson - My point exactly, it's something people obviously need to know! The lack of communication here has really p!ssed me off and I don't feel I can rely on them for the actual day at this precise moment. We'll see what Thursday brings.carpe diem

sudocrem is supposed to work miracles on spots. i tried it a few times but just got laughed at for walking around the flat with white spots all over my face :rotfl: I've got the origins spot remover but it is pretty strong stuff and it does sting when you put it on.
i used to make my own spot remedy that was so potent it cleared up cold sores in half the time zovirax does. cant remember where i put the exact recipe but it was witch hazel and comfrey leaf with tea tree, rosemary and eucalyptus oils. got much better with age too.0
