Feel free to kick me as I will probably need it :o

Consider yourself well and truly kicked.

TBH I was only thinking the other day - it's almost the Vernal Equinox - our half way mark and I have achieved hardly anything, fabwise. No further weight loss, fitness levels still far too low. I still don't feel very well at all, no energy and everything just seems a huge effort. All in all a bit disappointing.

In my defence even now, nearly three months on, I'm still overloaded with stuff to do. All relating to OH, his move to the nursing home, sorting out money etc. I am making progress but it is so slow, very time-consuming and it really does make me feel so weary and low at times.

Never mind - it will all come together eventually.

I'm off to Devon next week. Hopefully the break it will give me a bit of an energy boost.

I have made that hair appt for Tuesday and also a chiropodist appt. It's a start.

An early dinner and then a rest on the sofa this evening. :o

Need to phone DWp again today as the promised form to replace lost one still hasn't turned up. Not sur I cann take much more.

It just goes on and on doesn't it.

So sorry to hear about your daughter. You must be so worried.

Of course you want to help her - it's only right and natural. Try to take of yourself as well though. If you go under the whole lot will collapse.

The other day my OH thanked me for always being there and taking good care of him.

I have to confess that there are times when I just wish I had someone to take care of me for a while. I get so fed up with being the strong capable one, and having to do it all alone.

The boys are good but it's not the same as having a husband I can depend on, who I can share it all with - the bad as well as the good.

Before OH was ill, even though he worked away from home much of the time, he always did his best to make sure I wasn't overloaded.

Sorry if I sound like a wimp today but like you Lizzie I've just had enough.

    I need a duvet day.:rotfl:

Oh Lizzie and LL - you both deserve a duvet day - take it easy and try to find a little bit of time to yourselves.

Well, its the end of the week thankfully, and what a week its been! Glad its over with to be honest.
The dog is back to his usual self - woofy, trying to scoff everything in sight and very attentive - all's well again in the canine world.:)
Anyone would think I'd made the whole thing up looking at him now!

This weekend I resolve to take a bit of care of me - I'm looking a bit ragged round the edges. All of the usual things need doing - nails, toenails, face mask and scrub, defuzzing etc. In addition, the make up bag needs a good sort out and some clothes need repairing, pressing - you know all of those jobs that you never get around to doing.
    And some SLEEP!

    Hello

I have been away from this thread for ages and I would like to return :o

It is important to me that I start taking better care of myself and I really felt that dropping on here every day motivated me so I would like to come back :D

    Cheer up - it's just a blip.

Oh dear. Don't know about Fab Friday sounds as if it has been more like Frightful Friday for some of us.

Never mind, tomorrow is another day.

Had a nice rest on the sofa and then about 9-00 felt a sudden surge of energy. Thought I'd better make the most of it - blitzed the bathroom from top to bottom, everything gleaming in there and a mini blitz in the kitchen. Washed down some paintwork. I feel so much better now;)

    Welcome back Rummer & Hamsterfan.

We have killed a metaphorical fatted calf for you:D

That elephant was looking pretty huge earlier today, but I meant to say to you I have had some good news so all in all the day did get better.

I have finally managed to nail down my Spanish Solicitor - well spoke to his lovely secretary. Apparently the money I'm owed is now waiting in their client account for me. I just have to confirm my bank details and then she will do a transfer. So I will set the ball rolling on Monday.

So you see my twin mantra of Never Give Up and Persistance Pays Off does work - eventually.

It's taken me 18 months to get my money from Spain. It took me 2 years to get DWP to sort out OH's DLA (three appeals and a tribunal in the end).

Lizzie just be patient and keep pushing - you will get DWP to cough up eventually. As will I. :rotfl:

Good night all - sleep well.

    Don't forget, now.

    Make It So.:rotfl::rotfl:

Make It So - certainly did!

Fab Friday update: (delayed after 'puter froze a while last night)

A rather fabulous 11 mile run yesterday. Hard going on the final mile which was expected and had to eat a lot yesterday to fuel it. In the end went over kcal allowance by 300kcal but burnt off over 1500kcals. Not a bad result overall. Feel ok today which is a good result :D

Fab Sat - will be fabbing myself up with a bright coral and pink jumper and the skirt that's too big and will attempt to make it fit with a belt. Also will wear a pair of the bargainour new patterned tights and maybe my new £8 purple fake suede shoes to try these out. Can it take a patterned bag? Not sure, will have a look later on otherwise its my nice smart purple bag. Today is a nice bright colour day and day out with mum, then back to watch the rugby and tomorrow is fabbing the house up, prepping food for next week and also a bit of reading for the assignment.

Feel much better now I know I can extend the dissertation into next year. Feels good to relax a bit out it all instead of the thought of how it was going to be.

Anyway time to dash. Have a good Sat everyone, fab away and I'll catch up later

    Morning all!
Big sleep last night - feel much better today (I think!). The dog woke me up at 7.30 so he's back to normal.

Lots to do today - the car lease is due up in a couple of months so I'm going to go to a couple of showrooms to see what my options are. I only have a little 107 citycar and need something similar again, its cheap to run and big enough for just me and the dog.
Then there's the food shopping, errands at the post office and some cleaning and washing to sort - domesticity!
And ofcourse the rugby! Come on Wales - we're doing well this year and there's a chance we'll win the whole Six Nations:j. Being Welsh, I'm used to coming second best at a lot of things to England so it'll be a proper treat to have the upper hand - especially as I'm exiled in England!

I'm going to make a bit of an effort with my appearance today - braving the male dominated arena of car showrooms and not being treated as a daft clueless woman is my aim! I once went to a BMW place (when I was a high flying business type) to buy a brand new car and was told that we should wait for my husband so he could say what he wanted- I wasn't married, the car was for me and I had £30k of company money to spend - needless to say that my custom went to a different dealership!

    UPDATE!!!!

I've just bought a new car!!!
I only went for a look but there was a bargain too good to miss.
I went to one showroom first and got "sold at" by a stereotypical car sales man - bleeuurghhh! So smarmy and middle aged man in too tight slacks!

Then I went back to where the car I have now was bought and the nice bloke there was very helpful, talked to me like I was vaguely intelligent (I'm not particularly when it comes to cars:o) and we managed to come to a really good deal on a brand new car the same model as my current one. All I need to do is drop my car off on Weds and pick up the new one - doesn't cost me anymore a month than the current one, no deposit to pay as its effectively part exchange and its a rather snazzy bright blue colour to go with my new effort at using colour!:rotfl::rotfl:
    I am chuffed to bits!
