WW I am so glad poochie is better, do they know what caused it? Hope you got some sleep last night xx

    Just a quickie.

WW - glad your little dog is now much better. Poor little sausage. Meant to say if your 16 year old pupils are complimenting you you must be really "kicking a**". How does it feel to be "cool".;)

Sparkles - Good luck today - knock em dead. Well done with all your compliments. "Radiant" sounds really fab.:rotfl:

My hair appt is actually on Tuesday not today, so the ghost will be here for a few days yet.

Anyway another busy day - off to try my hand at the Council Tax Office again. Needs must I'm afraid. Spoke to them on the phone, they will not accept "evidence" through the post - you have to take it in. So going to try another tactic, not go to the big city centre office, going to try one of the local suburb sub-offices. Apparently that is ok.

    Hmmmm - seeing is believing.

    Wish me luck.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Adela .....please excuse another senior moment, and thank you for putting me right, as it was indeed Captain Jean-Luc Picard's saying, not Captain Kirks!!! (I have watched both....a very long time ago!!!:rotfl:

And, it does make a very good logo....as well as a useful way of thinking (IMO!).

WW, hope you and your furry baby had a good, restful and restorative night, and that fur baby is now in full recovery mode!

LL best of luck with your Council Tax Office dealings!

Best of luck to Sparkles for today; also LL with the council bods.

Well, my guest Sadie has been fabbed this morning; she's moulting enough to stuff cushions with, so I've been asked to give her a good brush every day while she's here.

As for me.... I'm covered in black dog-hair!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just thought I'd let you know our Local Council Office rocks.

Free parking, nice pleasant helpful professional staff, no queues, and - not that I needed them today because I was in and out in 5 minutes flat - even disabled toilets. See it can be done. ;)

Let's just hope that they have all they need now and they can finally get a grip and sort it out.

Because it was so quick I popped into town into Holland & Barratt to stock up with Glucosomine, buy one get one half price. I keep forgetting to take it and my poor old knees have been giving me what for:o

    Fellow Trekkies

Did you you see the recent (couple of years ago now) Start Trek Film - I thought it was fab. I though Zachary Quinto made a great Spock.

    Off to see OH later.

    Have a great day.

Good news, specially about the disabled loos;:D our Council were very good when Mr LW went to tell them I'd moved in with him - but that was probably because he was telling them he'd have to pay more as he wasn't living alone any more!:rotfl:

Re remembering to take tablets - I have a reminder programmed into my phone, so that it squeaks at me at 07:30 and 19:30 each day, or you can bet your boots I'd forget!;)

    Morning all,

Sky - I do think there is a lot of truth in the 'fake it till you make it' theory, I know I can recall times having to go into work or out somewhere feeling upset/angry or something but having to force myself to act happy, outgoing etc and after a while it has started to help and have felt that way for real. Other things seem a little harder - like I find it very hard to talk to people I don't know well so will try and act confident and force myself to do - doesn't seem to get a great deal easier though :o

Sparkles - lovely compliment and hope today is going well :)

WW - so glad pooch seems to have been sorted, how stressful for you :( Do they know what caused it? Hope you and doggie both had a nice restful night and are feeling recovered today x

Adela - love the logo :D

LL - so glad you found a decent, helpful council office - nice to know they do actually exist :rotfl: - fingers crossed they'll manage to get things sorted out now. Oh and I loved the new Star Trek film - was a little wary beforehand as wasn't sure about the whole prologue idea but really enjoyed it and thought everyone was quite beliveable as the younger versions of characters.

Anyways, still streaming with a cold so feel (and am pretty sure I look!) like death warmed up today. Also had a lovely embarrassing trip to the supermarket on the way home last night, popped into the local one and loaded up on things like fruit juice, lozenges, soup etc, scanned it all through the self-service check-out, went for my card to pay for it - only to realise I'd left it with OH that morning as he needed to get some bits in  Had to call over the very unhelpful staff who always stand at the end doing nothing and then was trying to work out what I could afford on my purseful of change and what I needed to put back - while the lovely long queue of people behind me glared :o Oh well, shall try again tonight and hope they don't recognise me :rotfl:So not really any fabbing going on yesterday, made healthy tea, turned my room into a sauna with the heater on full blast and just had a nice quiet night - probably same again today as would be nice to be feeling at least a bit better by weekend.
