wishing a very happy birthday to Mr LL:bdaycake:
and I sincerely hope your dr is right about keeping DWP off your back because he's right LL you need to rest and recharge your batteries, if you push yourself too hard before you are ready it just sets you back even further just wish this government would realise this. More help and less pressure might get more people off benefits in the long term.
Hope you enjoyed your OH's birthday tea.
Sorry I took a break from fab friday, am afraid it's more like F****ed off friday here. DWP strikes again.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Maman - I used to be dressed up in full Welsh costume throughout my school days too. I did have a daffodil on yesterday and played the Welsh National Anthem to my form at school who all thought I'd lost the plot! (I live in Manchester now:rotfl:)
LL - Happy birthday to Mr LL! Glad to hear you're getting some support from the GP.
Had a busy day at work but then a few of us decided to go to the pub after work. Two of us live locally and both popped home to get our dogs and we all sat in the beer garden under a heater and had a lovely time - nothing super exciting but nice all the same. We all then took the 2 dogs to the park for a run around in the almost dark - haven't laughed so much in ages. Good for the soul.
I'm taking the suit that didn't fit back to Next tomorrow and may have a little look to see if there's anything else nice in the small town whilst I'm out.
My roots need doing again and there's lots of fabbing maintainance to be done this weekend - good job there's not very much planned in the social calendar!0 -
Not much fabbing gone on recently, been too tired after work! My nails have broken off too
I've been moisturising my face nearly every day which is pretty good for a lazy person like me. Also been spraying a fragrance every day I go out which is my JPG Le Male. I have a feeling I'll wear that forever and ever, I love it.
Oh and I really need to change my hair, I don't want to be stuck with the same style for years and years like my mum. I have tomorrow off and I'm going into town, might just walk into a salon and ask them to surprise me! I have no idea what I want to do with my hair, I've outgrown my bob and my fringe is getting a bit long but not long enough to do much with it! It looks silly if I move it to the side right now.

Oh dear, hope you get a break soon, the DWP really know how to wear a person down don't they.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Mr LL as you call him. We had a lovely time, with a naughty but nice slab of chocolate cake. I bought a huge one from Costco which was shared among the residents and staff. I know I should have made one - but not this time.
DS1 bought us a video from when he was best man at his mates recent wedding. DS1's speech was hilarious, the bride looked beautiful, it was a great video.
Anyway off to bed now, up in the morning - need to drive over to Nottingham to pick up OH's meds - again. I like to go early on a Saturday morning, the pharmacy is quiet and it's easier to find a parking space. :rotfl:
Good night all x
PS Maman Like the top. I definitely need to go and buy a few tops - had a quick look in Sainsbury's whilst shopping the other day but wasn't impressed by what was on offer. Nasty garish colours but that navy looks fab.0 -

Get you!:D That sounds so good! I'm really pleased for you. Hope your hair turns out really well.
Glad you enjoyed this evening ww, it sounds a lovely thing to do and great that the dogs went too. Like you, I wore my Welsh costume every St. David's day until I went to secondary school. I don't think it's so common now. I'm also exiled in England.
I'm pleased with the tops too LL. They're a sort of double layer. I think the top one is called pointelle so the bottom layer shows through slightly. I thought they'd be ideal for spring but knowing our weather probably fine for summer too! I had a wander round George in Asda today. Didn't actually buy anything but really liked some of the coloured jeans and this stripy sundress.Oh and after the success of my last dress I fancied this on Tesco direct too.

I think I need to get my summery clothes out and make a plan. It's not that I think I'm going to be wearing them any time soon but I want to plan ahead so I can buy things while they're in the shops.
Glad you had a good time with DH and don't worry, there'll be plenty of time for making cakes when you're feeling 100% although I must say you do sound brighter after your little rest.
I've been to see Annie at a local theatre tonight. I've seen it loads of times but I love the songs. This was done by a local Youth Group and they did really well. I did get dressed up and a little people watching (for comparison) showed that the fabbing is working!
Have a good weekend everyone.:A

LL - Mr LL sounds like it was a good birthday and don't worry about a costco cake. As your GP said its time to concentrate on you feeling better meaning focus on enjoying things and dont worry about not baking a cake for a change. It's been a hard time for you all and take little baby steps again to start the process off again.
As for me went out for a few drinks last night and feel a little delicate this morning. 4 drinks last night, woke up loads of times and each time thought this is why I don't drink very often and its reinforcing my decision to stop at some point. Had a little shock about how much some friends drink during the week which made me realise how much I have moved away from doing this. Anyway 4 drinks is my absolute limit and no more now. Really could have done with less but hey ho was in the spirit of the night which isn't very often I go out and it was nice to spend the night chatting and laughing about life. Surprisingly got some very fab comments about how great my skin looked and radiant and also how happy I seemed too. So that was good, a comment that resonated with me about being happy with who I am is exactly how I feel now. My friend also looked stunning and full of confidence too which I'm not sure she believes but should do.
Anyway to blow the cobwebs away I'm plannng a run this afternoon, not too long today a nice gentle trot out
Fabwise have tidied my nails up and I'm going to pop to town to take a jacket back in a little while and maybe pop into George to have alook at the coloured jeans. Willow, some fresh air will do you good!!and you'll feel really good for having your hair done!:D But you would save money???
Strangely sparkles, I was only thinking this morning how good I was feeling compared with the lethargy I used to feel after too many drinks. We made a good decision!!! Glad you had a good night and compliments too!;) Enjoy your run. It's springlike here, very uplifting.0 -
Well have the house to myself for a bit for a change. So have decided to use if for a bit of me time. Have had a read of the papers, a browse on the internet, updated my blog and now am gonna give my nails a much needed spruce up before going out with the dog.
Am seriously thinking of putting an ad on gumtree or similar site to see if it's worth giving it a go setting up a business. Unfortunately the problem with my arm couldn't have happenend at a worse time and the physio seems to think it's going to take a while to improve. It's a question of do I go for it and risk delaying healing further or wait until its fully healed? Its such a headache knowing what to do for the best.
Am quite upset with my friend too- some of you may remember I did back off as I felt she was being very thoughtless before xmas but at new year she sent me a text thanking me for being a good friend and I relented and began seeing her again. She hasn't offered me any support through this situation with DWP, I haven't heard from her since I told her what was happening. I know that I would have been concerned for her had she been in our situation. I've tried to see the friendship for what it is but am not sure its worth it.
Enough of me anyway, hope you all have a fab weekend.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Happy weekend everyone!!
Took the suit back to Next this morning but didn't come back empty handed - from H&M I bought a black blazer type jacket with white detailing around the collar and cuffs, a rusty/biscuit coloured smart belted jacket and a vest top for underneath - both of these are for work, as I have to wear suits/business wear all of my suits are like a school uniform and all seem to go tatty looking at the same time.
I also bought a tan cotton blazer with white piping and a Tshirt for smart casual from the sale in New Look of all places - £13 for the two! Oh, and a pair of neutral and black medium heeled shoes:o
I used to hate shopping but its starting to grow on me:rotfl:
On the personal fab front, I have lots to get through this weekend so thought I'd write a list to keep me on track on my "repair the damage of the busy week" mission.......- Defuzz
- Dye hair
- Face mask (bought 2 new ones today)
- Nails
- Toenails and yukky feet:(
- Quick sunbed for psoriasis
- Facial scrub
- Body scrub and moisturise
Going to take the dog to the park for a run around and some fresh air instead - hoovering will resume later!0
