Bye for now X
Mr LW is currently doing his WiiFit, and I have my mini-walker gadget, to keep my legs from weakening any more, to use while I have a quick peruse of today's paper (before it's all ancient history!):D
TTFN.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
At work we are taking part in some beauty industry awards thing so have sooooo much stuff to test. Everyone grabbed waht they wanted to review and noone was interested in the coloured cosmetics, especially lipsticks. I am mainly doing National Trust and Caudalie products, the former are absolutely lovely
Oooh, that's my kind of job!! Fabbing for money.
LW, re ice cream - Didn't know wolves liked bananas..0 -
Evening all - just back from yet another parents evening - 6th form this time:(
I am pooped!
No fabbing other than wearing a nice top to work (and full make up) - used to be a "good" top but have decided to wear it to work to get more wear out of it and again lots of comments:)
Not sure about what to wear tomorrow yet - one of the new suits arrived (Next next day delivery) and its too big :rotfl: I got a size 12 petite jacket and its huge and size 12 trousers and they're a bit big around the waist and about 4 inches too long, even with heels. Shame because its a nice colour.
2 jackets are on the way so hopefully they'll be better.
Off for a well earned rest - will catch up on everyone's news soon. Night!0 -
Morning all,
Carmen - thanks, def not me in the chair tho :rotfl:I may put up a clip from the one in April that I will be in, depends how bad I look in itYay on OH saying yes even if it was again
debated asking OH again actually but since we've been engaged 11 years now and no date in sight it would probably annoy me more :rotfl:Some day we have spare money to do it properly. Anyway, hope you managed to catch a bit of sun.
One clip led to another so managed to watch all the ones posted! I liked the Hi Ho Silver Lining, nice slant and the christmas carols looked a lot of fun, your conductor/director? certainly gives it her all :T and a nice treat for the Ikea customers. If I could hold a tune (no, I really can't :rotfl:) I would have liked to sing in a choir. Look forward to seeing the April one:)
LL, maybe you have already thought of it but make sure Mr LL can see out of the side windows if he and his wheelchair are going to be secured in the back. An old friend of mine was only able to see the bottom half of everything as she was being driven around!
Had a lovely afternoon in the sun then watched amazing sunset (huge orange ball) with a glass of chilled white. My beautified legs had an airingand looks as if I may repeat it all again tomorrow :)I'm going to make the most of it.
:hello: To everyone else and a belated Happy St Davids Day.

Lots of good news on here today:
Happy Birthday for tomorrow to MrLL.
:Ton the interviews to evilsquid. It's my birthday on 12th, so I'll be thinking of you. We fishes must stick together!
:jto the size 12s being too big ww. Will you be getting another size?
Good luck with tomorrow adelight, hope you feel much better after the migraine.
As it's a long time since my Welsh costume fitted me;), I got dressed in red and black today and wore my daffodil with pride. It's been the most beautiful day here. DH volunteered to go for a walk so we went to nearby market town and had a good wander through the park and pretty streets.
I also got a couple of topsthis one in navy/red and the same one in white. It's a sort of double layer fabric so quite thick. I'm going to try them on with various trousers/jeans etc before I make a final decision.
Fab Friday tomorrow. I'm going to see an amateur version of Annie with DD1 so will definitely make an effort to be fab.0 -

ThanksThe ones with people in black shirts are our choir, the white ones the beginner one. On the Christmas one for Rolling (no idea why someone filmed and posted up the only non-xmas one of the set :rotfl:) I'm about 5th from the left on the front row with the tinsely headband on. And yeah, she's definately enthusiastic - drags us all along in her wake

Morning All,
Sun is shining here in Wales, really need to get dressed and out in it! I agree with the mini sabiticals, I had to take this week off work either that or go sick with stress after getting told off by director over something so trivial was end of the tether for me, never felt so angry and humilated. I ended up in tears and went home! Think months of stress had finally taken their toll
.
But feeling a lot better now after tlc off mum, some good friends and keeping things simple, I haven't cried this week so that's a definate positive!Just need to motivate myself to look for a new job as the source of my unhappiness.
Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!EH xx

The sun is shining - no excuse - get those glad rags on, get out there and get some fresh air.
This morning I've already been to see my GP, took a load of stuff to the tip, off to Costco next and then visit OH later for a birthday tea.
My GP was wonderful this morning. Poor man every time I go I end up weeping all over his surgery. He was so shocked at how the benefits systems has left me high and dry and has expressed the view that I am in no way fit to even contemplate working for the foreseeable future. "Your job now is to get better"!!!!
He has signed me off for 6 months saying "That'll keep them off your back and make them pay you what you are entitled to". He was so angry on my behalf.
He too is of the opinion that my endocrine system may be under threat and my endorphin levels are too low. Oooh - the perfect excuse to eat more chocolate.:rotfl::rotfl:
I know I know that's not the answer, only kidding. I will need to exercise, eat healthily, get out in the sun and rest too.
Told him about my mini sabbatical and he agreed - sometimes it's the only way. So ladies we are doing it right, we are not being selfish by taking time out when we need it.
Everhopeful - glad it worked for you too, hope you can resolve your work issues. No job is worth destroying your health for.
I'm reading a book called "The Warmth of the Heart Prevents the Body from Rusting". It quotes research which states that "traumatic events cause an attack of old age".
Quote " Two major sources of stress in a year make a person age 16 years. Three very serious events could increase the body's age by 32 years over the subsequent 12 months.":eek::eek:
OMG - By that reckoning I'm a walking miracle - I shouldn't be alive.:D because we're talking sky high stress levels over a period of 6 years.
There is something in this. When I worked on my last site I was 54/55. All the workmen, sub-contractors etc had decided that I was around the 35 mark. Then my husband became ill and when I look in the mirror now - the face that stares back looks nearer 70 than 60. As for my body - it feels like nearer 80.
The book doesn't say whether this damage is reversible. I'm working on the assumption that it is. I'm convinced that with the right care and a bit of willpower I can reclaim my health and vitality. I will get better, fitter and stronger.
Off now to get some fresh air.
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Wishing Mr LL a VERY happy birthday, LL :bdaycake:
Hope you all have a wonderful time when you visit and see/be with each other, and good to "see" you a bit more relaxed and less stressed out! :T
GREAT to see that there are still some "diamond" doctors about!
