Morning lovely ladies!!! Wow....there are so many new girls in class...wonderful...and all adding heaps of new info and support too!!!

I posted about this in the last thread.....for those of you suffering bad backs, please do give this a try:-

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iehtr8X3qMc

My partner, who sadly died three years ago, had sciatica and used this Alexander basic position , to relieve his pain, after initially getting over his "I can't see how this can possibly work" attitude!!! It allows the spine to lengthen and adjust to its normal position, and helps to release anything ....like a nerve that may be trapped!

Looks like the Battle of the Christmas Goodies is still ongoing for many....but it'll be over soon, so I wouldn't beat yourselves up over it, or get submerged in guilt, rather enjoy it and then when everything is eaten/given away/stashed or binned, onto the Summere Solstice trip you go!!!

For all those of you feeling far from fab at the moment...look around you!! Nature is not at her best at the moment either...very few flowers, bare limbed trees, dull gray skies......just biding her time before starting the renewal process...just like us!!!

So keep your eye on the ball of your goals, and indulge yourselves with a little patience, and like the tortoise, with fortitude, perseverance and persistence , we'll get to where we want to be in the end!!

    Such a lovely post Skymist.

Last night I moisturised again and buttered my elbows - they are still quite dry though but will keep going and hopefully they feel smoother soon. The area around my lips is very dry today so need to figure out what to do there - I suffer from cracked dry lips at the best of times (and the occasional cold sore) so have to be careful of what to use as I've tried various products which has irritated my lips.

My nails are starting to grow back which is good - a few more days and I should be able to shape them with my shiny new crystal nail files :j I'm hoping to get them looking nice by the time by parents visit next week! My nails always look dirty though and I don't know why!

Thanks to this thread, I'm already feeling quite positive.

    Afternoon fellow fabbers! :D

I've not been doing much in the way of fabbing, and worst of all I'm sat here in my scruffs
Yesterday I took some rubbish to the tip, in my scruffs but I did have my face on and perfume.
I even managed to take my make up off last night.

    Plans for today:
Finish this ironing, I'm sure the steam will do my face good.
On with the face and then off to work.
Attack myself with body brush before showering.
    Slather myself in cream.

I'm hoping to get invited out tonight, so I will make an extra effort ;)

    Welcome to Lame Wolf xxx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Welcome Lamewolf. I am very familiar with the old CBA feeling. I am hoping this thread will keep me, and you, out of it. Good luck

No chance of a walk today the wind and rain are all too heavy but I think I am going to head through to the shops and have a wee look around. Thankfully they are all undecover in a centre. I want some new PJs - I say new, I mean some PJs as I currently just sleep in an old vest and underwear. I view actually having some PJs as part of my fabbing up so off I go. I was going to save all of the money given to me for Christmas by my mum but now I am going to spend some of it on myself - just a fraction of it but some. I still want to aim for mortgage free in 2012 and am saving towards that. Think I am going to get some new underwear too - thinking it may be time to stop wearing stuff with holes in:eek:.

Ooh, lovely, lots of new people here! Welcome!

I had my post-Christmas weigh in at SW on Tuesday - 6lb gain  I was prepared to have put on a bit but that's a bit excessive, though our lovely consultant said it wasn't the biggest gain of the group.

Thanks whoever mentioned freezing chocolates, I'm going to do that - I was doing really well at resisting temptation until Christmas came along!

Went to the Boots sale on Tuesday and bought a '17' eyeshadow pallet of 8 colours, 10 '17' mini lip glosses and a 'Strictly' gift set of 12 nail varnishes: all for 50% off - £16 the lot - and I used gift vouchers! I reckon I can do quite a bit of fabbing with that lot, don't you? :D
