Well my Valentine's Day is going well so far... OH stayed up til 4:30am playing Fifa which meant I had to stay up too coz we're in the same room. Now his mum and little brother are here and he's back on Fifa... I asked him to stay off the game for just one day since he spends nearly 12 hours a day on it.

I'm just keeping quiet and painting my nails.

Willow you poor thing! how selfish is that?! i would have cut off the plug if my DH did that. tbh, i think i have threatened him with that a few times! could he not have used headphones or something so it didn't keep you up?

hopefully his mum will shout at him for you if he's ignoring her.

He had the headset in talking to his friends plus he bunches all the duvet up and I get cold feet. I can't sleep with cold feet.

me and DH have a duvet each now because sharing one caused so many problems. do you not have a spare one you could use?

No, I'll bring one from home next time.

On a lighter note, I tried a little nail art for the first time...

Willow - how annoying, OH will sometimes play games in bed but he's well aware that he needs to wear headphones, not be chatting online and not be wiggling and annoying me  Mind you I tend to be in the mood from hell if I lose out on my sleep so he's well aware it's at least partly for his own good. Can you not tell him he needs to go in the other room as he's keeping you awake?
The nail art is pretty though :)

The only other room is the bathroom. Now if we had a seperate bedroom and I could go to bed in peace I wouldn't mind so much.

Just had to post and say WOW! willow, that nailart is so good! I don't know if you watched that Superscrimpers programme a couple of weeks ago where they did that. Yours is soooo much better. :T

You have my huge sympathy over your OH and the games:mad: I'm working out that you live in a studio flat which is why you can't banish him to another room. You really do need to talk to him about keeping you awake at night. When you start work, you'll need to get enough sleep to be bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning. I think if I were you I might go off round the block for a bit of fresh air. I know I'm very old fashioned but I don't think it's good for him to be staring at a screen for so long. I'm sure it's unhealthy, and definitely anti-social.

At last I've made a bit of effort today. I've been keeping up with all the make up and dressing nicely but couldn't motivate myself to do much else. Today I've not only done some urgent paperwork and got it all posted off but I completely emptied my bedroom wardrobe. Not much went to CS but it's so much tidier and I vacuumed it all out while it was empty. Also cleared 3 bags of old towels (stored:o in wardrobe) which DH took to pet rescue centre for bedding.

We've put a bottle of bubbly in the fridge for later. Agree about the anti-Hallmark holiday principle but I'm making DH his favourite HM lasagne and we'll share a drink but no cards or rip-off flowers.

Think your table sounds great with the incense and candles LW. I love using incense but haven't yet found a burner that doesn't spill ash all over the side. All I've got at the moment is a little pebble with a hole in it. I've got opticians appointment tomorrow. Haven't needed new (distance only) glasses for years so hope I don't tomorrow. While I'm out I might go and browse in the shops for a while.

Hope you're OK bratz, do feel free to rant when the stresses get to you.

So many virtual friends on here that I can't possibly keep up with you all, but I love reading what you're up to.

    Back soon.
