  • Thanks LL for your post - its given me a kick in the right direction

I have felt a bit down in the dumps over the last couple of weeks. Think it was because I have been so busy juggling full time work and uni and its hard going right how. Anyway I feel a bit brighter today. I've meal planned for the week ahead to try and cut out the snacking which has been taking me over my kcal allowance and my STS with weight

I'm aiming to hit my final target by the end of the month and then move into maintain phase and a new phase as spring starts and stay there for summer sizzling.

And thanks to LL for the Valentine#s Day idea. I'm single so I'm now planning a full on pamper session of face mask in the bath and also foot soak treatment and lots of moisturising too. That's my treat and I'll see if I can get out for a run too to try and get back in the habit of running again after this last week with no exercise.

I'm just about to do a face mask and a hair treatment for my Sunday pamper session. Have a good Sunday everyone and spring isn't too far away now and then we'll be getting closer to the summer sizzle

    Well said LL!
We all feel a bit miserable from time to time - I know for some of you its clinical - but surely spending a bit of time on ourselves can only help?

Went for the stand up sun bed yesterday and can already see an improvement in the little psoriasis patches on my torso:T - only did 6 mins so haven't cooked myself and don't look like a tomato! Just went for the second session - trying hard to clear it up and unfortunately this is the only way that works (on the plus side I'll look a bit healthier with a mild tan).

Bought the hair dye yesterday and will actually use it this evening! I hate doing it:mad:
I managed everything else on the list and felt quite preened by the time I went to bed - looked like a tired slug again this morning though - oh well, at least I'm a groomed slug!

Right off to watch the rugby - come on WALES!!!

WW good luck with the hair dye; I'm still trying to fathom out how to do mine when I can't raise my left arm even to shoulder height!:D Seriously, it's bad - I have a silver stripe 2" wide down the centre, and I have to have a photo taken on Wednesday:eek: - when the doggy guests arrive, the dog-sitting service agent always takes a photo of them with me (and Mr LW if he happens to be at home) to give to the owners as a "holiday snap".
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

A mobile hairdresser is the answer to this one.

My mum is 86 and riddled with arthritis and can no longer raise her arms to do her hair. A lady comes to her. She'll perm, colour, cut and style - anything you would have done in a salon.

Mobile hairdresser rates are usually very competitive because they are usually mums with school age children who just work round school hours.

Admittedly not as cheap as doing it yourself but now and again shouldn't break the bank.

I have mine and all the kids hairs cut at home. She's the mum of one of my mindees, so much easier and a cut and blow dry costs me about £12.

Ladies can you inspire me with your tasty lunches. I always end up having a cheese sandwich which doesn't always leave me feeling satisfied a few hours later which leads to the inevitable boredom snacking. I don't tend to buy pre packaged meat as I dont like it but am interested in what you all eat for lunch

Finding some comfort in knowing I'm not the only one feeling a bit down at the moment, I have a few days of doing well and things are going well, and really thinking I've cracked it, then even something small just ticks me off and I go down again. I just can't hold on to that good feeling for very long.. and we are nearly half way to our Solstice.

Have just dug the last Christmas choc out of the cupboard - liqueurs, ugh - and eaten them, nearly all on my own. OH shared the misery and had a couple.
