Frump to Fab - Summer Solstice Sizzler

Hi All. Not been on the forum over the past few days as I am concentrating on studying - and if I come on here I can lose hours! Not much fabbing going on as just studying but I am keeping up with the basics.
Elfen - I have seen adverts for P90X on TV. What do you think of it? I have thought about trying it but thought I may be too unfit currently for it!
Allie x0 -
I have been rather scarce recently. Work has been mayhem and just haven't been able to find the time to do everything I plan on.
LW, !!!!!!, cjj sorry you are all feeling a bit down.
Adelight, hope the doctor is able to figure out what is causing your allergic reaction.
Podperson, I hope the choir event goes well.
To everyone who commented on my pewter, thank you for the kind words, I know the site is in desperate need of being sorted out if I want to try and turn it into any sort of business. I just need to find the time, and get cracking on deciding what type of art to do. I suppose there is never going to be anything that universally appeals to everyone.
Well I had a lovely long shower today, did the backwards hair wash, exfoliated, have moisturised all over and am now getting ready for a night out. Its a friends birthday, and actually in this weather the last thing I want to do is go clubbing. Actually, even in summer I don't like clubbing anymore, I just don't enjoy it, especially when it means having to stay out all night to catch the subway home in the morning because a taxi is just too expensive. I will suck it up though, and hopefully find some dashing man to flirt with for a bit
Well one of my charming little 8 year old students asked me the other day if I was pregnant.:eek::( No, I just have a fat stomach. I carry a lot of my weight around my stomach, so I think I am often mistaken as being pregnant. It really is depressing, but instead of motivating me to do some exercise, I have taken up eating more chocolate.
Have a FABulous day everyone.0 -
Morning all!
Its the weekend - hurrah! And only 1 week to go to half term - why is my school later than everyone else's??
I had a bit of a weird dream last night, won't go into the details as it was a bit "racy" in parts (it has been almost 2 years since you know what!) but its inspired me to get a grip and sort myself out and get back "out there". Not necessarily with regards to dating (hate that word) but just with people in general. I'm a confident and outgoing person but have settled into a routine of going to work, working really hard, coming home walking the dog, doing more work, watching telly and going to bed - repeat ad nauseum! Time to get a life again!
This week has been very poor on the fab front so the weekend has the following in store (will write a list as I stick to it then)...- Long shower with body scrub
- Face scrub and loads of moisturising
- Dye hair
- Defuzz again
- Cut toe nails and paint
- Try attacking yukky feet with pummice etc (hate this job)
- Have a sunbed (I know, don't shout at me - I have patches of psoriasis and this is the only thing that helps clear them up, UV light works)
- Get eyebrows done
- Make hair appointment (its finally growing)
- Go shopping and buy good for me things
- Take vits
- Pop to library to pick up reserved books
Right the dog is sitting at the front door giving me his "naughty mummy" look - walkies!
PS Lone Wolf - hope the lurcher helps with your frame of mind - I find animals very therapeutic.0 -

all my weight is there too! it makes me feel so bad. i went out for drinks last night and i could see people doing the "is she pregnant and boozing??" looks.
have you seen this? (http://virginiasolesmith.com/2011/11/never-say-diet-the-case-of-the-mistaken-pregnancy/) it made me feel slightly better knowing i wasn't alone.0 -

Bitsy she's super! Awww, I could scoop her up and cuddle her, I really could.:D
Mr LW's new PC game arrived today - "Kingdoms of Amalur - Reckoning" so that's the last I shall hear from him for a few hours.;)
I had to venture into town earlier (brrrr - flippin cold out there) to get an appointment with the optician; will be having my eyes tested next Friday afternoon...... joy!! I hope they don't tell me I need new specs, as I can't afford any; got to get my hearing aid replaced in July, and that'll cost an arm and a leg, so I can do without shelling out for new specs as well!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hello! I tired joining you wonderful people a while ago and failed miserably :P
Going to try again, hand in hand with the no more buying toiletries thread - I have loads of lovely stuff and keep keeping it for "best" - I have makeup that is ancient because I use so little lol, and potions and lotions that I think are too nice to waste on me :S I know I know!!
So here's to using some of it up and having healthy happy glowing skin and a make up/hair regime that works and makes me look good instead of "she just rolled out of bed and turned up didn't she?"
I've been doing the shower scrub and moisturising thing for about a fortnight already and I'm amazed - I normally have, well bumpy skin on my arms, not show how else to desribe it, they're not spots, it's just bumpy, normally goes away in the sunshine lol, but they've got soo much better recently because i'm actually being nice to it!
Now to learn how to do makeup that'll look good for work. Is 28 too old for experimenting with eyeshadow colours? I have tons of the stuff, some of which never touched as they're the "colourful" elements of the palettes
Hope to keep this up. *waves*0
