!!!!!! no words of wisdom - what I know about children would fit on the back of a postage stamp and still leave room for an entire Book of Shadows - but have a Wolfy (((HUG))).

'Fraid fabbing's gone out of the window here - can't even do my hair without help just now (darn shoulder, still) and the BD (Black Dog) has moved in big time. I keep wondering what's the point, when I'm stuck within my own four walls the whole time, and Mr LW says I don't look any better with make-up than without it.

Aww LW, I'm sorry you're feeling down at the moment. I know being stuck inside can be hard work, do you have anything you enjoy doing - or would like to try - that might make it seem a little more interesting. I know being stuck inside doing nothing I go stir crazy quite quickly but stuck inside writing or doodling or messing with something creative and I'm quite happy.
Also did Mr LW say it like that (cause I'd be cracking him one!) or did he say that you looked fine either way - which is something OH would say :o
  • !!!!!!, LameWolf, cjj, sending you hugs, sorry to hear you're feeling so low. Look after yourselves.

Bratz never had to go through this myself (think it would be a nightmare with my family too), can only echo just try and remember its your day not theirs and have it how you want it.

LL- hope you are feeling better. A week of fabbing sounds great. RE the lash stuff I have some not the £37 one though think it was about £10 and though my lashes don't really look any better I have used it on brows and they do, not sure if this is down to no longer plucking myself and going for threading once a month or so though. I also dye them once a month to make them look thicker.

Well bought myself a few new clothes a couple of cardigans, and some some semi dressed up tops.
Got a dye for my hair and had my eyebrows done.
Went into town in a jumper dress and leggings - and when my son came in he asked why I was dressed up so must be doing something right.:D
Still can't manage Zumba so a cosy night in when I probably won't look very fab in my fluffy dressing gown :D

LW did he say it in that blokey "you look great not matter what" way? <shoos the BD away - LW only like the furry friend kind of dog> I am sorry you are trapped at home, I assume if there was a logistical way of you getting out and about you would be doing it by now. Sending you lots of wolfy hugs xx

That's great lizzie, we accept all compliments!!

Hope your OH was being blokey LW, good that you posted even though you're feeling yuk! Poor you.:grouphug:

I went mad on the retail therapy and spent £2! Local town has a £1 for anything chazza shop. I was tempted by some 'stuff' i.e. vintage china but decided (after stroking it and putting it back) that I have enough here and mustn't buy any more.

What I bought was a knee length, rust coloured velvet skirt from Kew. It's slightly flared (flippy?) and fully lined. It'll look great with opaques or boots. I also bought a Gap green jumper. That's not brilliant condition (well washed) but I got it as it's 100% wool and for £1 it'll give me another layer to help keep warm. I'm hardly fab today (took LL's advice and went for warmth) but did get a compliment from checkout person on my scarf. It was the tartan Cath Kidston shawl one I bought the other week. Thanks for primer tip MrsW.

Shops are full of Valentines (cards, food, booze etc). DH and I don't generally celebrate but maybe we'll have champagne (:D any excuse). What's anyone else doing?
  • Oh LL, I'm so pleased you sanctioned the Stay Warm Look for today! :TI was standing infront of my wardrobe this morning looking at all the things I could have worn............if it had looked like the temperature was going to creep above frozen wotsits today!

I'm glad I did wrap up as I ended up sitting in an office with no heating! brrr!!:snow_laug

Had a look around the local factory outlet m&s today but there was nothing other than a vest, a slip and some hand-cream that took my fancy! Why is it when you could actually buy something, you can't see anything you like! The whole shop was full of the waterfall type cardies - don't need any more of them - and tops made of the sheerest material that wouldn't keep you warm in midsummer!!

LW, another hug and a shoo BD!! I'm sure this time of year doesn't help anyone's mood. It feels like it has been winter for ages and the sun seems so far away!

    Thanks, guys.

I'm unsure what Mr LW meant - I'm useless at reading faces and verbal inflections, even his after 10 years together.

Tbh, I'm wossnamed off because my left arm is out of commission and I'm left-handed, so I'm not able to do a bloomin' thing at the mo. Can't even do my cross stitch, it's too painful.:(

Also, with the snow, it's dangerous for me to even venture out as far as the shed to put the recycling out, and I'd be bound to go base over apex, and if that happened, I'd be stuck there for the rest of the day - not good in the temperatures we have at present!

In a way, I wish I could have my own car again; at least I could go and look at something other than the same four walls; but it's not economically viable for us to run two, and Mr LW needs the Jazz to get to and from work (30 miles each way and no option on trains - he's checked).

Hah! No matter - got an 11-yr-old lurcher coming to stay next Wednesday for 5 days - I hope he walks to heel properly and is OK with a mobility buggy!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • LW, just remember that the fabbing we do isn't just for other people!

If putting on a little make up or your favourite t-shirt or your sexiest undies make you feel better, then that's enough!

Maman, I am very jealous of your CS finds. I'm sure that as I walk in the door, they hide the good stuff out the back!
  • Fab update

Wore a nice bright jazzy tunic today in purple stripes
At last tried to sort hard skin on feet out and now soaking in some dead sea salt mix before a lot of moisturiser is applied as there's still some work to do there!

Weight STS this week but at least none gained as went over kcal allowance all week and no running either due to weather

Will fab myself up tomorrow for a trip into town!
