Bitsy your dogs are soooo beautiful
I hope they don't tell me I need new specs, as I can't afford any; got to get my hearing aid replaced in July, and that'll cost an arm and a leg, so I can do without shelling out for new specs as well!
Have you got an old pair that you like? If you need a new prescription you could just get them to replace the lenses. Still some cost, but not as bad and at least saves choosing new frames - I hate having to choose new ones as I can never see when I try them on:mad:
Hope your new doggy visitor can tame the black dog for you. Have a very gentle hug.Blue_Elephant wrote: »*delurks*
Now to learn how to do makeup that'll look good for work. Is 28 too old for experimenting with eyeshadow colours?
Every age is a good age to experiment. Have fun
Fabbing this week - trying to keep up with the nail varnish but still haven't worked out how to keep it from chipping within hours. Exfoliated my face twice, and the skin already seems better. Next step - try applying my never before used hair straighteners to see if I can make it look something like the lovely result by the hairdresser (crosses fingers).
Have a lovely, fabbing weekend everyone.0 -
Wow, the puppy is gorgeous. Putting me in the mood to get a new dog too.0

Luna is a beauty - ~ I could scoop her up to for a cugs!
My dog is laid out under the radiator just chillin out on a Saturday night! Well not too much fabbing today apart from lots of clothes browsing in shops looking at lovely bright clothing and jackets today and bought a bright orange top which is another one in a size 10 so must try and remain at this weight and not gain despite going over the kcal allowance this week. Next fabby clothing will be bright blue jeans to match it up with.
Anyway its a pretty tough time of year mood and emotion wise - is it the weather, the time of year, how we feel? I too feel a bit down in the dumps, think its the time of year so have planned a nice day out with mum later in the year when the weather picks up a bitfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Good morning ladies
Well done WW on your weekend plans, a nice mix of fabbing and you time.
Now ladies I'm noticing a little bit of slacking on here recently - not good enough. :rotfl:
Time to crack that whip - so here's your challenge.
Why not give yourself some serious top to toe fabbing for Valentines day, body scrubs, face masks, slathering, paint those toe nails. Even if there's no-one special in your life right now - do it for you.
I'm also noticing some despondency creeping in - sounds like it it's time for a bit of a motivational talk.:D
What can I say - the weather's vile, the economy is dire, and the news is full of doom and gloom.
All is not lost, trust me, Spring is just round the corner.
Will you be ready to dare to bare when the sun comes out, or will you have to hide under layers of clothes that don't flatter and which make you feel dowdy and frumpy. Will you spend another summer full of self loathing - wistfully looking at all the attractive well turned out women - thinking how I wish I looked more like them and less like me.
Well the answer to that one is - it's up to us.
If we want to emerge from our winter cocoons like bright dazzling butterflies then now is the time to start putting in the effort. Sorry but the only people who can make those changes is us. No-one is going to do it for us.
I too get the black dog from time to time. For me it's always compounded by my feelings of impotence over my OH's illness. I also now have to deal with a shedload of guilt because I can no longer care for him properly and have had to resort to moving him into care.
Now I know in my head that I've nothing to feel guilty about, however, the feelings in my heart are an other matter entirely.
I have found that when the black dog strikes the only way I can shift it is to work until I'm ready to drop.
When I'm feeling really low I do something really physical and mindless, working with my hands seems to soothe my troubled soul. The activity, the sense of purpose and achievement always helps lift my spririts.
Now for you it might be exercise for me it's house fabbing.
My spirits have been low of late so yesterday I set to and deep-cleaned my hall. OH's stairlift had left a thin film of oil all over the walls, the paintwork was grubby and the furniture men had left sofa marks all down one wall.
I'm not ready to paint yet because I want to move a radiator and have still to take down all the grab rails. So in the meantime I set to and washed everything down - had to give it a good scrub to remove all the oil.
OK it still needs painting but it looks a damn sight better than it did. Also blitzed the lounge and put my lovely new rug down, then ordered a new coffee table off Ebay.
Now physically all of that work just about finished me off - but I felt great afterwards - a real sense of pride and achievement and I now feel mentally energised, more upbeat and optimistic.
When I'm both low and unable to do anything physical - say due to back pain or whatever - then I sit quietly with some needlework or I set to and make some jewellery. Again I think it's working with my hands that helps to soothe my mind and lift my spirits.
Just done a pile of ironing, all OH's stuff. Going to do the prep for dinner, nice long soak in the bath. Skin needs a bit of TLC so the banana face mask today. Then a light lunch and off to see OH.
Have a good day - and remember ladies - we doing this for us.
Not our partners, not our families, not our work colleagues. The funny thing is - they will also reap the benefits.
Stick with it, stay the course, get back on track. Not only will you look better, you'll feel better. You'll be happier, more confident, more productive and more fun to be around.
Personally I think we owe this not just to ourselves but to all those who come into our orbit.
Our partners, families, friends and colleagues don't enjoy spending time with a miserable frump any more than we like looking at one in the mirror.0 -
I have a spot the size of a second head on my chin. So last night tried to zap it with a facepack. Its still there but my skin feels lurvely!0
