Lame Wolf - I managed the dreaded hair dye - it does look better but that's scant consolation for the hour of torture doing it.
Hope yours goes ok? If OH is any good at it I'd pay you
to borrow him next time!:rotfl:(to do my hair that is!)

Have a cold starting so have dosed up on cold and flu stuff and hopefully that will see it off (usually works for me).
  • Fedup, That does sound fab!

My fabbiness today has been a top that I usually keep for best (with lots of layers as the top was too thin for the brrrrr-ness today!)

Also I have painted my nails tonight and I am trying to hurry spring along by ditching the winter berry colours and bringing out the peachy pink!

LW, Your hubby sounds fab! How has the dying gone? Did you manage to colour the whole bathroom like I usually do?

Hope everyone else is doing well and fighting off those end of winter germs

    Hi all

Wondering if I could join you all again. I started fabbing in the summer last year but just having had a baby I didn't have a minute to myself and it all kind of fell by the wayside. However the wee one is now 7 months old, sleeping well and I find I have some time in the evenings now to indulge myself.

I have also had a Total Hip Replacement in my right hip so am now having a new lease of life. I have put on so much weight over the past few years and now I am mobile again my goal is to lose the weight I put on.

Goals for Now to Summer Solstice.

    1. Make time for myself each evening to pamper.
    2. Lose 2 stone by the time I go on holiday (30th June).
    3. Start walking each day and hopefully build up the exercise to my exercise dvds.
    4. Not to buy any more toiletries til I have used up the ones I have as I have loads and really don't need any more.

    Hi everyone
Ive been doing some regular fabbing since I started on here. Little steps.........
    Perfume everyday
Dyed hair using a tip from here and only mixed up half the pack so will last for 2 treatments
De fuzz much more regularly lol
Hand cream, especially at night with cotton gloves
Foot cream for bed with socks (feet need work)
Manicured toenails(in a fashion lol) Painted them
Not wearing jogging suit as often, choosing nice clothes more
DD cut my hair and im trying to keep it looking neater
Lipgloss when im out and about (if i remember)
    Exercising most days
I really do neglect myself usually, cos i dont think im worth it lol.
Hope everyone is ok and keep up the fabbing x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.
  • Good morning everyone

Welome back Maisie - well done on getting back on track, especially having a new babe and a hip replacement. That is a lot on your plate.

Hi Adelight - my goodness you really are struggling with those allergies. Re the skin I would just stick to something completely natural, non perfumed etc - say a vegetable oil for now. I use grape seed as a base for all my potions, it has no smell unlike olive oil which you could leave you with a rather pronounced "aroma of mediterranean deli". :rotfl:

It will keep your skin moisturised and supple and there shouldn't be any allergic reaction.

Some good fabbing there cjj - keep that up and you'll soon notice a difference.

This morning I've smothered myself in Ibruprofen gel and a lavender oil potion to ease my muscles and joints. Feel as stiff as a board this morning. Will do a few stretches in a bit.

Anyway just going to spend an hour sorting out my desk (yes the 1hr a day rule until it's done), then some ironing and then off to see OH.

For those with partners have a lovely romantic day/night and for those without spoil yourselves a little.

Yesterday I bought myself a lovely bunch of flowers. I will tell my OH they are from him. :rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning all,

Goodness, lots to catch up so will have to be brief I think!

LW - Hope your arm's a little better and your new furry visitor will cheer you up :)

Bitsy - wow, she is absolutely adorable, you are rather lucky I don't know where you live or I would so tempted to dog-nap :o The only dogs me and OH can agree on that we want are labs or golden retrievers but sadly don't really have the time or the room for one at the moment.

LL - very true unfortunately on the slacking, must get myself in gear :o

Carmen - hope your snow has cleared a little, it's very strange as we have nothing up here, my mum has had a good few inches and I've had virtually nothing.

    Welcome to the newbies/returnees :D

Anyways, concert was on Saturday, I ended up getting bumped up a small camera so was actually filming all night instead of being general dogsbody as expected. Was fun in parts but a bit stressful, kept panicking when things went wrong, eg my memory card filled up mid-way through a song so had to leg it up the stairs to try and find a spare one, bit frazzled by the end of it! OH has started on the editing now, which is going to be a big job as we had 5 cameras going. Don't think we'll do much for Valentine's Day, we never have really, both think it's just a Hallmark holiday. Hope everyone has a good day though x

Thanks, all; we managed the task (well done on doing yours, btw, WW) without turning my blue bathroom red, I'm pleased to say!:D

I took a dose of Oramorph before we started, and we took our time; Mr LW sat and read to me from Terry Pratchett's latest book while we waited the 25 mins for the colour to develop - I can't see a thing without my specs, so this is a good way to pass the time; he also dried my hair for me at the end, and as far as I can tell, he's done a brilliant job; certainly, there's no sign of my silver stripe.:D

I took some more Oramorph before bed, as my shoulder was starting to act up badly and I didn't want pain keeping me awake again.

Today, it hurts like the very devil;:( I had Oramorph first thing, and am resisting taking any more for as long as I can (doesn't matter if I swear my way through the day as there's only me here);)

I did forget about trimming the ends though (D'OH) but no matter - we can see to that any time, it only takes a minute or so.;)

So, I'm as ready as I'll ever be for my picture with Dylan - I must just remember to put some warpaint on tomorrow morning!:rotfl:

Podperson yes I agree about the "Hallmark Holiday" - everything suddenly triples in price just for the one day! I persuaded Mr LW to have a meal at home (my tummy isn't ready to cope with a big "meal out" yet) so I'll be cooking - but he has, as always, prepped the veg and left them in cold water ready for me. And there's a bottle of champagne (or "champoo" as he calls it) in the fridge. :o

I was thinking of maybe digging out my Sun and Moon candle holders and putting candles in them; and we can have some incense - I have a dragon incense holder, that when lit, puffs the smoke out of the dragon's mouth.:D

So..... I'd better get a duster out and get the lounge dusted (we eat in here as we haven't got a separate dining room) or it won't look very good.:D *Trundles off to the Flylady thread on the Old Style board*
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Good afternoon everyone,

Re OCM, I only use olive oil now as I found mixing with other oils my skin always broke out. Not sure if I smell like a deli :rotfl:maybe all the garlic I eat masks it :lipsrseal
Drinking hot lemon and honey has really helped my skin and is more palatable than plain water.

Today is going to be manicure day and eyebrow tidy.

Pod, your evening sounds great, I'm sure your O/H will make a good job of the editing. I really do not like myself on camera so I'm usually the one taking the snaps/video.
We had more snow last night ( I cancelled my hair appointment for today) and this morning the snow has started melting rapidly :j:jat last! It is strange how the weather is so varied, not only in the UK!

LL, have you decided what change you want for your hair?

    Welcome back Maisie

    Carmen x
