30 mins Zumba and I have given myself my very first French manicure. OK it's not perfect but that's what practice makes ;) probably shouldn't have started it 30 mins before heading out to school run as I don't think parts of it was quite dry :o

Hi Glam Girlie - Welcome. Some great "G's" there;)

    Ok today's G's.

Going from Grunge to Gorgeous takes just two easy steps.

Step 1 - Grooming - no groans at the back please.

Some of you may be bored with me banging on about this - but get the basic grooming right and you will start to feel so much better about yourselves.

Clean, nicely styled hair, a regular easy skin care routine, clean clothes and shoes, clean nicely manicured nails. A little light day make up if you can manage it, smell gorgeous. Do these simple basic routines every day.

    Step 2 - Gloss & Glamour

Once you've got the basic grooming right then you can crank it up a bit and start building up a bit of glamour. A flattering hair style, some new pretty undies, some nicer smarter clothes, painting your nails, start having fun with accessories and jewellery.

All it takes is a little know-how and a bit of practice.

These things don't come inbuilt just because we are female, they can be learnt.

Don't be a slave to fashion, find your own style. Have some fun, experiment a little.

Time to get the dinner on.

    Bye for now x

Well done Willow - good news and good result too!

Fabwise for me, downside, went way over the kcal allowance today for some reason, better side of things, did over 2hrs walking, went to uni, long day, now tired and just about to do my normal skincare routine of cleanse, tone, eye cream, oil and moisturise then nail oils and handcream.

Tomorrow is exactly the same again then its back to work on Wed. Think I'll give the runs a miss until Wed at the earliest and will go if the weather picks up a bit after feeling very tired indeed for the last week despite a lot of sleep and early nights and it was soooo cold when I ran on Fri I think its best to have an easy week to get over the tiredness and then bounce back out there again. An easy week is allowed every so often and its my first one for quite a while

  • Went to the gym this afternoon, I've done something to my wrist so I've got to be careful doing circuits now. ah well. I've gained half a pound at SW but tbh i was expecting it to be much much worse. I've really been eating badly this week.

How ridiculous is that? So you go to SW tonight and the consultant tells you that the scales are saying you've gained a stone since last week. And you say, so what????? I think maybe the feedback was thought up at 2.00 a.m, It worries me that people are being paid to write such rubbish!

the sad part is someone will have been tasked with that over something useful and they then will have seen a good thing while they had it and spent like a whole day coming up with that about A4 page worth of text. the rest of it was all "collaborate with a friend and analyse a situation". next time i get drunk and moan about how bad my job situation is with a friend I'm claiming I'm "collaborating with a friend to analyse the situation" and writing that on my job centre form as something positive i did to improve my chances of work. the civil service themselves have told me to! :rotfl:

hope you feel better soon Adelight!
