Willow - Congratulations on your job :D

Bitsy - Well done on your first French manicure :T

LW - Haha, more elephant based jokes please, they made me :)

    Glamgirlie - Welcome!

Thank you to those who posted in response to my OH woes yesterday, very much appreciated.

WW - I am starting to feel very resentful now towards being ignored, so something needs to change...

Lizzie - I will take you up on your pm offer when I can gather my thoughts properly. Thanks. :)

Pod - We did used to play games together, either a two player console game or we would take it in turns with the controller. Now he is so addicted to WoW, no other games get a look in. I am not against him playing any game, but it's got to be massively unhealthy the amount of time he spends on it! I have asked to do different things like him picking the films he wants to watch or us playing a board game, but he just doesn't seem interested in anything I suggest, so I am getting to the stage of thinking why bother. There are other issues, but I didn't want to talk about it all on here.

This leads me back to finding things I can do myself to build confidence. I really need to try and get back into fitness as that gave me a good sense of achievement when I exercised regularly before, and I am looking for volunteering related to the environment to tie in with my studying.
  • Hello - is it ok of I pop back in? I have been lurking and have the basic Grooming going on but need to find my get up and go! I think it's hiding under all the snow we have here!

I did persuade myself to go to Jazzercise tonight - it's sometimes a struggle to make myself go but I am pleased I did - no really I am!!:j

Willow, well done for the job!:T

LW, Good to see you especially when you make me laugh like that!:rotfl:

Callisto (((x)))) They -OH's being very generalistic - can get very obsessed can't they. It can be very hard especially if there are other things going on

25 mins yoga done on Wii fit :D my back clicked twice although it wasn't painful  do feel better for having done it :D

Callisto hugs for you honey, I have no advice but I think your OH needs to realise the gravity of the situation. I hope you can resolve your issues. Would scheduling a date night once a week help, no gaming, no gadgets, just you two as a couple? Xx

I have slipped into a pattern of reading/lurking and not following through and actually doing! Whoops

Eating has been terrible and I have the spots to prove it.... I have put on weight (since starting at the gym) and I have spent the last couple of weeks convincing myself that this is due to 'muscle'. Yeah right:o:rotfl:

So back on the wagon today.

Congratulations/commiserations to all as appropriate. I have been quiet for far too long now to pick you all out and comment individually. Sorry.

No problems - there are too many now to do that.

Welcome back and just get that nose back to the grindstone.

Busy, busy day here - just off to prepare a healthy stew for the slow cooker, bathe and fab, go shopping and then off to see OH.

    Happy fabbing x

    Morning all,

Hewie - glad you're still with us, don't worry if you feel like you're a little behind, we're all going at different paces but am sure we will all get there :)

Sky - thought that was lovely, you have a real way with words x

LW - loved the elephant jokes :rotfl:

    Willow - that's fantastic, well done :j:T

Glamgirlie - welcome! never too late to start getting fab :)

Callisto - that is a little different then if he just can't be bother rather then struggling to find something you both find fun :( I know that game can be seriously addictive - god knows we were on it for years, guild/raid leaders the lot. It's strange because when you've playing it most nights you can't imagine not playing it but once I stopped I was surprised how little I missed it :o If it is damaging your relationship though I do think you might need to sit down and speak to him about reducing the hours he spends on it (easier said then done I know!)

Sezza - glad you're still with us, the jazzercise sounds fun :)

So, was at beginner choir last night for their last rehearsal before their show on Sat - they are sounding good :) Was me, OH and two of his friends who are going to be filming on Sat so we were sat at the back and they were making notes on things like cues/band solos/movements. Was good fun, though was a little annoyed at them as they were going to come early but showed up just on time so had no time to speak to people beforehand or introduce themselves (me and OH were there last week but no one had seen the other two before) and then they dashed out for a fag on the break - leaving me to talk to loads of people coming over and asking who they were and what they were doing  Ah well, hopefully they will be a little more used to us now for Saturday.
Was knackered when I got home though, was in bed (though with the tv on) by 10. Straight to my choir tonight as well and then have one of OH's friends stopping over tonight and possibly tomorrow as they are working all day, probably half the evening and then have an early start tomorrow and he lives a bit away so saves him travelling back and forth. I don't mind him stopping, just hope they realise that I'm gonna be tired when I get in so if they're noisy they're gonna get told :rotfl:Couldn't be bothered doing my hair last night but still looks nice and shiny from the backwards washing so quite pleased with that.
Hope everyone has a good day x
  • hi all,

Callisto whenever you're ready I'm happy to help if I can or just be there for you to offload on. :)

I'm feeling abit off colour this morning - have a fuzzy head (if I move it too quick feels like i've had a skinfull :D) and a headache. Hopefully the dog walking will clear my head.
Assignment gone this morning -don't know if thats connected to my headache.
will still manage to make myself presentable before going out- this has become habit now :) x
Oh and congrats Willow on the job

Have a good time at choir pod. Agree it was rude of DH and friends to absent themselves during break etc. Surely when they 'work' for real they need to be client friendly. It's not just about the photographic side.

Callisto, can't really comment on the computer games thing as I've never understood the attraction myself. I do understand you're feeling neglected and that your relationship feels like all give on your part and take on his at the moment. I have noticed that these games become an obsession but that's not to excuse him. My DH and I often choose to spend time apart in the evenings so I'm not saying you need to be in each others pockets but there needs to be agreement. It sounds like your OH decides he's going to play all evening and tough on what you want to do. I'd recommend you keep up the fabbing for your own self confidence and pick your moment to talk it through with him. Would he chat over a nice meal? Keep us posted.

I'm feeling good today. Got fabbed up for a meeting and ended up sitting opposite person who I knew had beauty/hairdressing background. Subsequently found she was years younger than me and I know I looked good in comparison. There's a lot to be said for people watching! We need to believe in ourselves.

I really need to focus on 'smart casual' dressing. What does everyone else wear for things like pub lunch/visiting friends/cinema? I seem to be OK for 'house' clothes and business wear but a bit unsure in between.
