PAH I'm the last person in the world to advise on how to dress - but I just wanted to say enjoy your evening; whatever you decide to wear, have a wonderful time.

As for eyebrows..... mine are literally non-existent. I used to have to deal with having a thundering great scar across my right eye, severing the eyebrow in two at an angle; but now the hairs have virtually all fallen out, so it doesn't show up much any more.:D Sadly most of my eyelashes have gone as well, but hey, you can't have everything.:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Also should I wear red or deep pink lipstick ( only colours I have) and what colour eye shadow, eyes green and hair chestnut, skin pale?

if your lip colours are really bold, tone down your eyes. a nude matt eyeshadow and a slick of black eyeliner and mascara is enough to look chic and nicely done. doing strong lips and eyes is a really tough thing to pull off. think Dita Von Teese, strong red lip and really chic perfectly done black eyeliner and flawless skin.

PAH, your outfit sounds lovely - was it for last night? i hope you had a good time:j

WW, take care won't you. It's easy to do too much when you start to feel better and knock yourself out again. Boy2 was briefly ill early last week but luckily was better after a day or two. His teacher told him a lot of the kids had been ill. I suppose it's inevitable in a close environment like a school :-(

We've had a weekend of birthdays and clebrations - my brother was 40 on thursday and my boy2 was 13 yesterday. We went to Romford Dogs on Friday night - what a fab night out! We had so much fun and it was in the warm! :TI think we'll definately go back sometime!

Then last night, Mum and I threw a surprise party for my brother. He thought he was coming for a take-away for boy2s birthday but there were lots more of the family there too!

I was really pleased as some of them had bought a card for boy2 too! We had 2 birthday cakes as well! :bdaycake::bdaycake:

All this celebrating takes its toll though so I declare this will be a week of fabbing - in all areas!:A

So, Ending the E-Week, Eating will be healthy! Exercising will be done, Energetically! Elegence will be attempted! I will put Effort into finding Equilibrium and Envisage my Energy being Engaging and Empathetic and this week, I will Eat That Elephant!

With that in mind, I will Ease myself of this Extremely comfy sofa and Enter the world of Frenetic FUN!:j

  • Fabbing going well, findin it hard to keep on track as I'm trying to follow a few forums! Not signed to all of them but trying to adopt what they do! The no buying unecessary toiletries ties in nicely with this thread and so does the coupon thread a lot of the time. Also trying to follow the frugal
    Challenge too!

Looking forward to the F's as going to try up my Fitness and of course Fabbing!
  • Thanks for you help you wonderful people - I took your advice and wore the black trousers with the top, had hair done same as last week so lots of curls down my back, used brown and cream on eyes, had pink lipstick that matched top so wore that with clear gloss over. Can't wear foundation as face does not like it but skin was clear and just made blusher from the lipstick on my cheekbones. I was complimented on how nice I looked and my outfit was perfect - some wore little black dresses with diamonds others like me nice top and trousers so felt as good as anyone. I wore my pearls we had made for my present for our 30th anniversary as I love them and use any excuse to wear them. I actually wore silver high heels ( not that high ) as they were the most comfortable for me last night so used my silver bag that matches it ( both are a grey silver and both are material ).

Friends came over today and told me how much younger I look with both hair back to natural colour, the curls and how I am dressing. One of friends granddaughters who is 13 asked if I hair had extensions in it, although saw them at Christmas I have been keeping hair up for so long now, no-one really realised how long it was, so she was quite amazed when I said nope all my own.

So thank you for your help......

awww prepareathome so nice to hear all the compliments, it obviously cheered you up :D

I've just got back to London, missing Brum as usual. Some of my housemates have a few friends round for dinner so I might just go hide in the bathroom for a while until I can make myself some grub. Hair mask, OCM, defuzz, bubbles? Oooh I'll bring the laptop in and watch Antiques Roadshow in the bath!!!

Don't drop the laptop in the bath - we may never hear from you again!

Feeling much better this afternoon - been for another long walk with the dog (was a plod rather than a sprint) and had a bubble bath, done a body scrub, sorted out my toenails and finally filed my finger nails.

I'm conscious that I look like I've been ill so I've decided to wear a brand new blouse to work tomorrow - a nice teal colour to cheer me up a bit - to be honest I forgot I had it - I bought it a while ago for "going out" but won't really go anywhere to wear it so rather than it just sitting there until I go off it I've decided to wear it. Might make me feel a bit better.
Will make an effort to do a full make up too - papering over the cracks!

I've spent the day catching up on work and feel "ready" for the week now - lots of after school meetings this week and another dreaded parents evening on Thurs - oh joy!

I didn't really get around to doing anything super-fabwise last week so my mini aims for this week are...
    • Wear some new clothes to work instead of saving them for who knows what
    • Try to eat well - not got much of an appetite still but I have been trying to eat small meals of salad and fresh stuff.
    • Sort out the little psoriasis patches on my torso ( have got a bit worse since being poorly)
    • Walk the dog longer and faster
PAH - glad you had a good night - just feeling better about yourself gives you a bit more confidence doesn't it?

Not much fabbing today as have spent the day writing my assignment. Nearly there now and just needs a final finishing off session tomorrow morning and then submitting at lunchtime

Then I get the afternoon to fab - a run, a nice walk with my dog, a bath and a facemask as a reward - here's hoping and get the fabbiness back on track for next week!

I haven't been posting as nothing to report really! Went on a nice walk with my Mum earlier, although very cold out. Completed three and a half hours of study yesterday, so slowly catching up and think that the next assignment will be more straightforward.

Feeling very down at the moment, however keep thinking I have no reason to be sad, there are others worse off than me! Think it is because I feel like I have lost my sense of hope for the future, feel like I will be stuck repeating the same day over and over. Seeing counsellor tomorrow, so will have the chance to discuss it anyway.

Podperson - I hope you are feeling more positive about your decision to suspend your OU study, as it sounds like the right thing for you to do at the moment, and good that you can resume it when you want to.

Prepareathome - I'm pleased you had a good evening and that you are getting lots of compliments. I love your pink top.

WW - Hope you are feeling fully well again soon, take it easy for a bit though.

LL - Can't wait to hear about your trip :)
