Have just had a lovely few hours yesterday evening and this morning catching up with everyone. Have so enjoyed the posts. Went awol as work got in the way, then period from hell causing me to lose 3 days then more work meaning I had to go off to Dublin for a couple of days. Still this morning back on track with a lovely hot shower, clean hair, clean clothes, body lotion and perfume. Yay! And am busy doing a mountain of washing and ironing so that my wardrobe gets organised.
And have made an appointment for the doctor later today as I realised it really is not right to lose 3 days work just because of a period. Rather than just ignoring this I've decided to get myself checked out. PhewMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Your struggle to read faces struck a chord as it's these subtle nuances and non verbal communication where my DS who has ASD struggles. Not that a diagnosis would change anything but if your the sort of person who would like to know it might be worth reading a bit more about it. I apologise if this is stepping on your toes or unwelcome to you
Not been posting much. Don't feel that fab, feel my eating is out of control at the moment, its like my head is rebelling against everything. Feel like a big fat failure to be honestI am doing the basic fab things like perfume, taking better care of my skin when I remember, getting more interested about make up etc but feel the one area that consistently let's me down is weight and eating. Am tired quite frankly of keep getting to this point and not sure how to change things.
Anyway sorry for the ramble, not posting for sympathy but had this rattling round my head for a week now and just needed to write it down.
LL glad you had such a good time, well done
The interesting thing is that I can read most dogs like an open book - on one memorable occasion I was even able to tell when a dog I didn't know who happened to be in the pub was desperate for a wee, and alert the owner to this fact! When she brought him back in, she thanked me, and said he'd had a big wee!:rotfl:
Ah, Failure - an F word we need to eliminate, perhaps. Bitsy, you're not a failure, just going through a rough patch and not yet perfected the eating side. The cold weather doesn't help - am I right in thinking we eat more to stay warm? I don't know what to suggest - I'm the opposite, I have no interest in food, and often forget to eat - it's those damned tablets that have mucked my weight about. But don't you dare give up. (((HUG)))If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

LW - I think we all second guess ourselves to a certain extent so don't be too hard on yourself. Well done on getting out of your duties - if it's not something you're enjoying then why wear yourself out for it. Oh, and sounds like you looked fab doing it
Bitsy - Don't be so hard on yourself hun, like you said you're keeping up on lots of things so don't be disheartened just because one thing isn't coming together at the moment. I'm a bit the same way, I keep saying I need to eat healthier, stop snacking, stop eating treats but to be honest I'm just not feeling like my head is in the right place for it at the moment so I'm not going to force myself as then I'll almost definately fail and just feel worse for it. The times when I have lost decent amounts of weight (and kept them off!) have been when I've felt motivated and like it's something I actually want to do, rather then forcing myself and feeling like I'm depriving myself - so I'm kind of thinking that that mindset will come back around soon and then I'll be off and runningOr perhaps I'm just making excuses for myself :rotfl:
Allie - grats on passing your exam :T
Watty - welcome back
Rosetta - yay on coming out of lurkdom, hope you keep posting
Lol and I was just going to post a few more lines when I started, you'll all be sick of me today!0 -

hugs to callisto and molly and anyone else feeling low. I know exactly how you feel about everyday being the same. I don't know if it would help you to write down everything you do each day for a couple of days, I did this for my counselling and although a lot of what I do is mundane everyday stuff it made me realise just how much stuff I do pack into a day. It also helped me to relize that you need to make a bit of time to do something you enjoy. I've been watching Mrs browns boys and I can't help but feel good when i've been sat having such a laugh. I've found it a real tonic! :rotfl:
Bitsy don't be too hard on yourself, I'm struggling with my eating too - keep saying I need to eat better but still the chocolate calls. I look in the mirror and really don't like what I see (especially round my waistline!) but I can't exercise much atm due to shoulder problem. I don't think sometimes we see ourselves as others see us I feel fat but others think I'm ok. If you can't tackle the eating just try and look after yourself in other ways instead.
LL glad you had a great weekend. I know its been mentioned before but maybe some time later in the year it would be nice for a sizzler meet up somewhere. This would be massive action for me.
I'm toying with the idea of going to London myself - the boys will be going to watch football in a couple of months and my daughter has been asking for a while if she can go. I thought perhaps whilst they were watching footie me and her could go a look round but I've never been to London since I was small and am not used to cities and the thought is very scary (there's that F word again-fear), I want to go but am scared of a) being somewhere I don't know andthe vision I have of the place being full of scary people. Don't know if I can pluck up the courage.:o
Anyway went to physio have been given some exercises to do to try and strengthen shoulder.
