LL forgive me, but what you describe I would call Setbacks (file under S);)

To me, Failure is sitting among the broken shards of your life, and knowing that whatever you do, however hard you try, it can never be fixed, that all you can ever realistically do is crawl around in the wreckage.:(

Just my point of view; I shall now retire to Lurkdom, as I feel a loss of nerve for posting approaching.

No No No LameWolfe please don't go!- the whole point of the thread is to share our ideas and tips- a different interpretation doesn't mean you have to leave!

I'd miss your posts and I'm sure many others would too!

    Hello Ladies!

    I'm Back! Sort of.....

First Good Luck Willow! sending you lots of positive vibes!

LL and FindingMyWay- your trips sound lovely! am really wishing I could get away soon!

Well technically the Tax deadline has passed and normally on 1st feb I'm feeling tired but happy to have it done with...but this year they have extended the deadline by 2 days due to yesterday's strikes....and to be honest I've hit the wall...

all this means is that although I have worked my butt off and got more done than in any previous year....they want MORE, as soon as client's heard it- all those late comers were on the phone trying to convince you to "just" squeeze them in...no concept of just how complex their returns are and how much work it takes...argh sorry for the moan ladies I'm just feeling tired, jaded and fed up:p

on the up side only one more day to go and things should be better...

    re the Fuzzy-ness

funnily enough it's something I'd been thinking myself recently ok so it's a given that busy season means that everything else is on hold but realised I hadn't really thought through my goals.

So, this is what I'm doing:

    1) I'm tracking my eating again on Spark People- I find I am a lot more focused when I do this- also not so easy to just go Sod it! I'll have a takeaway when you then have to track it and see just HOW BAD it is for you!- this actually worked yesterday- felt like a curry- checked out values and realised it would totally blow things out of proportion and undo my good work with lunchtime salads/healthy snacks- made a quick healthy Homemade version instead!:D

    2) Each week I'm adding something new- this week is healthy eating focus- next I'll add in some more regular exercise.

    3) this is a shared one with DH- he is thinking of setting up a business so we are going to work together to see if we could make it feasible- the lifestyle change for both of us would be fantastic.

that's it for now- back to the guy with 66 yes that's right 66 investments/portfolios to check, summarise and report.....

will be back later when I need to get away from the excel spreadsheets!

LW noone is judging you or wanting you to f-off. Many of us have different opinions on things and it's a good thing! Means we get to consider different views and learn :) ie, when LL says people who don't fail don't grow or learn, I disgaree completely! Success shouldn't hold a person back.

LL hope you don't mind me asking, but how do you raise your money? I'm trying to raise quite a bit but need to find avenues other than my job and selling my stuff, but not surveys as they have been a waste of time!

willow can;t wait to hear how you get on.

evilsquid good luck at WI. no more burgers or arguments with the burger makers :D

Evening everyone, I have been somewhat MIA recently but am ready to get back on the fab wagon.
Today is day 1 of 7 days of super-duper-mega healthy eating! I've got an insane amount of fruit and veg in the house including 1.5kg of blueberries and intend to eat/drink it all. I had beetroot juice earlier and it was delicious I swear :p
Tonight's fabbing: bubble bath, body butter, massage, organising toiletries (it's never ending).

    Good afternoon Ladies

Hope you are all having a fantastic day, feeling Focused and Fabulous for February.

I've had a great day - my ECG was fine, and I had news that my mammogram was clear. Woohoo. Still in good nick for 60:rotfl:.

Sorted out some banking, did a stock up at Costco - lots of nice healthy stuff and picked up some lovely bargains from the Chazza shops.

Two nice white linen tablecloths for £2, a nice brown/black pashmina for £1, a set of Indian silver napkin rings for £2 and a pretty blue and white china cat for £1. She will look lovely on my kitchen window cill.

Anyway now I know for sure that my ticker is ok I'm off to do some exercise before I get dinner ready.

I've no excuses now :o - so no more fudging, no more fannying around.

So today it's yoga and stretching, Swiss Ball and hand weights.

Fabbing today was an eyebrow tidy and Facelift Face Mask, manicure tonight.

    What Fabbing have you done.;)

    .

    Of course I don't mind.

This month was a bit of a mish mash. Sold the stairlift back to the supplier, cash back from HC Insurance, I made and sold some jewellery, ASDA vouchers, and Christmas Present money. I don't really need anything so didn't spend it on "goods".

Having said that I did go to London so I guess you could say that the Christmas gift money funded my London trip.

This month I intend to start selling some of my clutter - seriously I have enough to open an antiques shop. Will let you know how I get on.

Other than that I also need to chase up some of my debtors. I'm also thinking of taking in a lodger - just for a few months. I did it before and it worked very well. Need to sort out the house first and decorate the room.

I suggest that you have a look at the Up Your Income thread. There are loads of ideas on there. Pod Person and I have both joined the Millionaire Challenge. Of course I won't make a million - its just a fun way of keeping us all focused.

There are a number of different challenges on there, with some very clever and resourceful people happy to share their tips and ideas.

    "See" you over there. :D

Fabwise today was a not much looked run after work in the cold that in the end I enjoyed as I thought about my fatness slimming and trying to lose the Final Few pounds

anyway, nails tidied up, plenty of moisturiser on now and cleansed skin and tomorrow I will tackle my feet and give them a treat after all this running and soften them up some more! Now I've said it, I'll do it as I keep putting this job off!

:rotfl::rotfl:I've been expecting that F to crop up sooner or later! I feel exactly the same LW. This is a great thread, where no one would deliberately cause offence. Please keep posting.

I'm falling a bit behind with the fabbing. I'm pleased that I've got a good routine now of healthy eating, general body care, make up and choosing clothes carefully. BUT I know that I've let it go for a while without doing many of the other things on my list (exercise, decluttering, reading etc). In my defence I've been very busy lately with my voluntary work but next week does look a bit quieter so I'm going to try and plan ahead.

I love reading everyone's posts, keep them coming!

Good news Evilsquid, it's strange how weigh in's can be like that!
Hammy looks sweet with his pizza

    Willow, how did it go?

Pod, how's the book doing? Can you please send me your autograph now ;) I hope you managed to have a relaxing evening?

Feeling kn***ered today. Helping O/H getting fire logs prepared (counting as excercise ;)) for the coming cold snap that is going to sweep the country. Plenty of food in the house so bring it on I'm ready :rotfl:We have to negotiate a steep hill to our house and two years ago in the snow we spun the car to the bottom, we were on the way up  Our small lane does not get sanded until the main roads are cleared (understandably) Good time to catch up with things in the house, or just snuggle up by the fire and read/watch dvd's :D

Sparkles, keep up the good work I'm sure you will soon lose those last few pounds.

Sezza, I love mints especially butter mints, never tried training with them though ;):rotfl:

WOW adelight, 1.5kgs of blueberries:eek: can I please come and help you eat them?

And breathe Mrs W, it's nearly over! Sounds as if you could do with a little break, you have Bali to look forward to :) Good luck with your new business venture.

Tru, where are you? How is the hip?I hope all is well with you?

Goodnight ladies, keep up the good work
    Carmen xx
