    morning all.

LL - hope you have a great weekend.
Well, my oil arrived yesterday, heat went on last night and it was absolute bliss!! I've even managed to get some clothes to dry so have a nice pile of ironing to look forward to later, lol.

also got my monthly shop in tesco delivered last night - fully of fresh, healthy food and no artificial nonsense. Can't wait to start eating it, how sad is that?!

Bitsy, please don't be offended but have you thought of contacting a lab rescue for a furry friend. Labs are so intelligent and only want to please and eat of course ;) Our last two adoptees had basic training which we just worked on. If they can walk well on a lead you are half way there.

I am need of some fresh air so off to the farmers market to load up on fresh fruit and veg, only had a banana in the last three days, getting withdrawl symtoms (sp)

    Back later...

    Morning all,

LL - thank you for the post hun, it really did make me feel better. I do feel it's the right thing it's just hard not to feel a little guilty - I think 'not giving up on things' is something that's drummed into us at school, from parents, even in the work place until it's sort of stuck in our subconscious - when sometimes giving up something that's not working out for you can be the best thing to do. Anyway, don't think you'll catch this until next week but hope you have a wonderful and very helpful weekend -and we want lots of details when you get back :D

Lizzie - how annoying about the card, thank goodness it was picked up on quickly. You have me a little worried now as I use Amazon a lot.

Evilsquid - hope hammy has forgiven you for the vet trip :) how cute though that she understands what you're saying (well when it involves treats at least :rotfl:)

adelight - hope you're having a better day today, how annoying about the presentation. Hope your dad's ok x

Bitsy - how exciting, I love Labs (though quite shocked how much more for a choc one ) One of my friends got one about 6 months ago, she's adorable but one of the most hyper things I've ever seen -so am sure you have lots of fun in store there :D

smeeth - well done on the weight loss :j

Carmen - thanks hun, am just hoping to concentrate on my own writings now, have the book to do and have been talking to OH a lot about his work and have a few ideas for scripts that I'm going maybe have a play with this weekend so am feeling a bit more positive about it :) Hope you're feeling better today, enjoy the market x

Bratz - yay for heating :jYou've reminded me I really must get a decent online shop in, have been rather lazy and just picking bits up from the shops on the way home. Tbh I probably have enough to manage at least through the weekend but don't think OH has much in to eat :o

Equilibrium is definately a good one, there are only so many hours in the days and I do feel like it's a constant juggling act and a matter of trying to prioritise things. There a lot of things I wish I had more time for (not done any drawing in ages for a start) but dont' feel there's much I can 'put aside' for it at the moment. Was planning on doing some writing last night but OH asked I wanted to do something since I've hardly seen him all week so ended having a few beers and playing a game for a bit. Nice to catch up, we've both been so busy this week - he's been out every day and usually back later then me with lots of projects on. Is good to see him being busy and positive though :) Am going out tonight, am meeting a friend I haven't seen in a few weeks and we're going to a Burns-related Scottish storytelling night - should be a bit different! My ebay reselling items finally got delivered - wasn't in as expected but am quite impressed as they have left it at my local post office instead of making me ring up to arrange redelivery and then have to wait in for a day, so quite impressed with that!
Hope everyone has a good day x
  • Podperson- don't beat yourself up about the course. I feel much the same about mine haven't touched it for over a week, there doesn't seem to much support on my course much different to the last OU course I did and I'm not really enjoying it that much. I've decided to carry on but if you aren't motivated it's hard. You can always go back to it later. Like you say only so many hours in the day and you do need me time. :)

I've contacted Amazon but not sure what they can do about it really but yes its a bit scary isn't it.

Just a quick one - feel awful, have a diahorrea/stomach bug thing and can't move further than 3ft from a toilet:(
Haven't even been to bed and have phoned in sick for the first time in over 3 years.

Needless to say fabbing has gone out of the window for today! On the plus side I've lost almost 5lbs since yesterday - all water and it will no doubt go straight back on but its the lowest the scales has been in some time!!

Hope you have a good time LL!

Not offended at all. I would have looked at a rescue dog BUT with DS and his ASD he can be very full on (mind you so can DD ;)) and I need something that can cope with some very excitable children - hence the reason killer cat was a kitten. don't get me wrong the kids wont be allowed free reign with any pooch but I need to be sure of its history, something I cant guarantee with a rescue dog. Hope no one thinks badly of me :o if the kids were older and DS wasn't quite so noisy I would have a rescue dog. As it happens the breeder we are interested some of her labs have gone to the National Autistic Society to become Autism dogs so thats kinda a nice link for us.

welsh woofer - Poor you :( hope you are feeling better soon xxxx keep drinking those fluids, even if you cant keep it down. as for the other end, just keep reminding yourself its your bodys way of fushing it out of your system xxxx

we are planning on having a Labrador, yellow or black (choc is £100 more expensive ) and it will be a girl.
rest assured pics will be shared when the time comes :D
Just think what all that extra walking will do for my fitness :rotfl:
Just to whet your appetite, here's Molly; http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/LameWolf/Molly011.jpg she was A & K's dog (went to live with K's brother when they divorced, as A isn't allowed dogs in his rented accommodation and K "didn't have time" to look after her.) I do remember A saying they used gun-dog training (she goes out on shoots, as A's son and nephews do beating in the season) and also, he used to get Working Dog food for her, as there's no VAT on it.:money:This pic was taken when she stayed with us, so it's our untidy lounge (and Mr LW's legs in jeans) in the background.:rotfl:

GWS, WW. Imho, fabbing includes taking proper care of yourself when you're poorly.:o

I've got my fingerless Neoprene gloves on again today, my hands are f-f-freezing cold and painful. S0d what it looks like, I want to be able to type without too many typos and pick up my coffee mug without dropping it!:rotfl:
