Why don't you have Children yet?

My Mum gave me an idea of what she thinks about me not wanting children on NYE.

My cousin is 30 this year she is still single (never really had a ltr) and no children, my Mum exclaimed that she needs to hurry up and settle down as it is odd that she hasn't but her younger brother got married last year.

I tried to explain and say she might choose not to settle it doesn't make her odd, she just shrugged her shoulders.

I'm 26 so only 4 years younger, single, no kids.

Lisa, members of the older generation rarely understand. My mum didn't speak to me for 2 weeks when I first told her but she now accepts the idea completely. Just do what is best for you. We can never expect people who have children to full appreciate or understand the desire not to. xx
