sorry not sure what you mean? I believe if they got me a placement in say Boots I should get the same wage as any other member of staff.

    I know that won't happen

Placement? You have been told you are going to have to work in Boots (for example)?

I am now a Carer with mentally ill people, but have been on a programme pretty similar to what you're on now. 20 years's ago I used to first attend classes, giving you tests on English, maths letter writing. Then some training, I did typing at this college and then they would find you a placement. Another poster thought it was the YTS scheme but it wasn't that.

If you are working why are you talking about the WP? I am not following you?

What you have described here is nothing like what I am doing.

Because I may not have a job soon and have been reading all the posts on this work programme! You sound very defensive, that's what I pick up.

They do because how do you explain all this money being paid out? It has to be the CHEAPEST mode of transport! I could easily say 'oh yeah I got a cab, that will be £20 please'!
how do you explain how on many occasions i havent even been asked for a ticket. odd figures like £20 would stand out.

for the majority of the time on the work programme it does not involve working for your dole or even doing full time hours in a centre. however you can be sent on a placement if the adviser thinks you should do one.
