why do they pay £4.60 if its only £2.70?
I wanted to claim £2.70 (£1.35 each way on a bus using an oyster) but to prove I used an oyster on the bus 7 miles I can not get a print out of my account till the next day. The Provider wouldn't accept this so I had two arguments with then till I called and emailed TFL and got proof in writing that this was the case.
I told the WP that I could not prove till the next day that I had used £1.35 on my card to get there so what did they suggest.
The centre manger told me that when I came to see them in Jan to buy a paper ticket for the bus at £2.30 (so £4.60 there and back) and hand that in as a one off and going forward they will pay me £4.60 EVERY TIME I go there as they will not pay me £2.70!!
How stupid is that? I have it in writing and take it with me every time I go there and since they had no £ in the tin last time I am to claim £9.20 next time I go there!0 -

I say they DO NOT sanction you if you are at a job interview or ill and can prove it and not wait till 2 mins before your appointment to call them!0 -

CLAIM THE TRAVEL!!!!

wage? What to be on the work programme?
Having read up more on this work programme, I did get the wrong word! I did a similar thing a good 20 years ago but at least they added a £10 to the benefit. They've not improved same thing different name. My Dad called it pure exploitation,I remember my cousin actually liked a placement, was there a good 6 month's then they found a reason to get rid.0 -

LOL they ask for proof as ANY petty cash system needs receipts so no they can not pocket the unclaimed fares as you have to sign for it!0
