Oh yes 2nr reply came today on an email re my questions

What is the work programme and what can it do for me.

They are saying I shoould put in a compliant, but about what? IF I do not not know what the WP is meant to be doing how can I complain?

They are not making this easy so of course I replied but this is what they have said now

'Thankyou for your recent correspondence. Government Ministersreceive a large volume of correspondence and they are unable to respondpersonally on every occasion. As yourcorrespondence falls within the remit of this Department, I have been asked torespond.

Providers whodeliver the Work Programme are required to meet high service standards and areheld them to account for their performance in this area. They are also requiredto work with individuals to resolve any complaints about their service. Hence, people are asked to raise their complaint with the provider in the firstinstance. They should explain their complaints process to the claimant.

If peoplecannot resolve the issue with the provider and have received a final responsefrom them, or have waited more than eight weeks for a final response, they canraise their complaint with the Independent Case Examiner – an independentservice provided by the Department for Work and Pensions. This service will notaccept your complaint unless you have received a final response from yourprovider.

Once an individual has joined the Work Programme, it is notpossible for them to leave the programme, or to swap provider. However, providers are expected to address anindividual’s concerns, and, if necessary, offer alternative arrangements forsupport if a solution cannot be found.

    Yours sincerely

Sorry but what is this letter about?
I asked what is the work programme meant to be as you know and what can it do for me as it is doing nothing and twice now you have sent me a letter that does not relate to the letter I sent.
How can I make a complaint if I do not know what they are meant to be doing for me?
You know what the work programme is so you need to tell me and like I have said now I will keep sending my letter until I get a reply!

    3. they are employing morons
    4. there is descrimination against the unemployed

    etc etc etc

I never said that, it was donnajunkie - the quote went wrong on here

I say they DO NOT sanction you if you are at a job interview or ill and can prove it and not wait till 2 mins before your appointment to call them!

Not courses, but a Maths and English test? I wondered why I heard most people on here have had to do them even someone I know, her sister had to but not me.

from what you have said on here it would seem that your provider seems to do things differently than all the others.

You haven't had to have the maths and english test, I did at the JC before I was refered to my provider, and was asked if I had done them at my first appointment with them.

Your provider has stated categorically to you that you won't ever be sent on a MWA, I have been told that if they think it would be beneficial I will be sent on a MWA and have heard advisors setting them up for other people while I have been job-searching.

Your provider sets "home work", apart from the first appointment mine never has (my homework was to email my cv to the advisor)

You are having one on one appointment (I think) I'm not

You don't have to go to their offices to do an hour of job search every 6 weeks, I do

You don't have telephone appointments, I do.

Seems that the WP providers can make it up as they go along!

My home work now is ony to email in links and all things relating to 5 jobs a week that I have applied for like this as an example.

I have been told now to keep doing that (an I am emailing them to my hotmail acct) but I can not email them in as I have no adviser as she left and they are currently advertising her role online. I can only assume when I go in a few weeks time I will be seeing no one and will be turned away no doubt!

If the WP was set up by the Gov then they should have a set 'programme' to follow as how would anyone know if they are all achieving the goals set. No two providers are doing the same thing are they? That is why my letter to the MP's asks 'what is the work programme' and 'what are they meant to be doing'?

If I don't know and the Gov wont tell me we will just continue on this non stop ride to nowhere.

I have only had TWO one on one appoitments and that's all I have had since August! The last one (the 3rd) was just telling me she was leaving! LOL

You must have lots of £ to waste then as I ALWAYS claim mine and have done since the 1st day I went there. I in fact get more as they are stupid idiots and won't pay me £2.70 but give me £4.60!
i dont have money to waste. i walk instead.
why do they pay £4.60 if its only £2.70?

you would only be at risk if you missed a scheduled appointment. if there were none scheduled then you have nothing to worry about.
