All you ever go on about is sanctions and what will happen if you do not go to an appointment because you are ill or at a JOB INTERVIEW when you really have nothing to back any of it up.
Sorry but you don't!0 -

All I was saying is people have to present themselves in a professional way in order to be taken seriously.0 -
At my induction, one-to-ones, courses I always have dressed smart. I just think it gives a good impression. I for one would not feel comfortable sat there in sports wear etc when they are going on about presentation etc. Thats not to say people who wear this dont look very smart when they attend interviews.
I think its good to make a good impression and an effort but its a personal thing. I have seen people in my providers in shorts and baseball caps and nothing gets said to them so they must have a more laid back approach to some.
Sometimes I dont think how you present yourself is important if they have boxes to tick ie send you on courses. Like I have mentioned before I was the only one in my induction of 3 to be sent on the 6 day course but I was the only one dressed smartly.
So tbh I do not know what these providers are looking for. If you dress smart one provider may send you on every course available whereas another provider may think you do not need much support.
On the subject of sanctions half the people due on the course I did did not turn up. The trainer did say she would be contacting them and raising it with the job centre so not sure if a sanction doubt would arise or if these people will be made to re attend and if they fail to turn up a second time then a sanction would be raised.
I was told at induction that everyone gets ill as long as you phone up to let them know and rearrange your appointment then its not a problem. I guess if you abuse this and say you are ill each time you have an appointment then they will raise a sanction. I know that if you are ill for more than 14 days you should not be on jsa anyway you have to change to another benefit until you are well enough.0 -
I've been in tracksuit bottoms before now, heck when it was really nice a while back I wore (long) shorts. I've been in, including the induction in smart dress - one as I think it's good to show you can brush up well, and on subsequent times because I had job interviews.
I sometimes wear a tracksuit as I walk up to the work programme, don't fancy doing that wearing smart clothes to be honest.0 -

I am disputing that you say there are lots of people you know that have been sanctioned for reasons you do not know.
