the JSA agreement still stands and the 5 jobs I mentioned is homework that I have to email them each week as proof. As already said here I apply for over 100 jobs and have all this written down for the JC that I show them when I sign on. These are 2 different things.
you have to show them those 5 jobs you have applied for because it is them who check to see if you have done what your jsa agreement says. the jobcentre doesnt bother checking now. well they dont around here. i am in and out very quickly when i sign on now.

I dont show the JC 5 jobs, I show then TWO booklets full up where one woman checked every single job hence her asking the job ref numbers and where then she said they have no way of checking them and I said so why do you want the reference numbers then.

I was with her 15 mins last time.

and they (the WP) can not keep up with them.
they havent got a chance of coping, especially in areas of high unemployment. i believe everyone under 18 is on it within 6 months and every one under 25 after 9 months and over 25's are on it after 12 months. the only way to be totally free is to get a job that lasts beyond 2 years. so the numbers on their books will be constantly increasing.

its not the ammount of people it's the ammount of jobs people are applying for. They told me to stop sending them the list I was told to keep as it was far too much and they didn't need it all. I asked why I was told to do it to which the reply was non exsistant.

it sounds like your jobcentre has more staff than it needs if they can spend 15 minutes with you. as soon as someone gets refered onto the work programme around here the jobcentre stops asking them for proof etc. this is because it is the providers job.

yes that is what is meant to happen as you are now meant to just sign at the JC and all the job searches etc and proof is controlled by the WP. If that was the case and it's not then 5 jobs is not 6 but since I still show the JC all the jobs I apply for with the sites they were found on, job title, ref number, company or agency the application went to and a date I will follow this up I am doing far more than anyone wants me to do and that's why they really don't like it as they have no time to check.

well I was back at the wp again today for job search. I have a telephone appointment with them on next week and then back for job search again at the start of April, then another phone 3 weeks later.

The wording of the appointment letter made me laugh though.

    Dear Mrs Looby

This letter contains the details of your next appointment on the Work Program. We look forward to seeing you again and continuing to support you to find the right job.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Still waiting with baited breath to see what all the support I'm supposed to be getting is.

On the second page of the letter it then goes on about all the mandatory activities I have to do, which are attend the job search and phone appointments lol What a waste of paper!

OMG wait for this. Just has a call from my WP provider about the list of companies I wrote for them to contact. All the phone numbers, website, contact names, emails etc.

Well they have had this list since Jan 10th and I have chased it twice with my lady who emailed me back on Friday saying she was off this week on holiday so would email the woman who was dealing with the list.

Well, the woman has just called me sayng she doesn't have my CV and could she have it and then she went on to say you are looking to work in hospitality to which I replied no, accounts. I said how are you getting on with the list and she said 'I have so many lists of people to call and I have contacted so and so and they have jobs as restaurant managers etc' I stopped her and said no accounts work.

Her reply was that she didn't know I was looking for a job in accounts as the list was bar/pubs/restaurant co's!

    ARGH!!!! How mental are they!!!!

actually the usual stance is by the time you are on the work programme you are expected to be up for anything.
