On older government programmes, the JSAg is suspended and the agreement is swapped over to providers. Is this still the case with the Work Programme? I know you have to continue signing on at the JCP but if you showed your provider's agreement and took your job search with you there, would that not be okay?0 -
the JSA agreement still stands and the 5 jobs I mentioned is homework that I have to email them each week as proof. As already said here I apply for over 100 jobs and have all this written down for the JC that I show them when I sign on. These are 2 different things. On older government programmes, the JSAg is suspended and the agreement is swapped over to providers. Is this still the case with the Work Programme? i know you have said you do alot more. i am just saying if it says 6 and you were only doing 5 because thats all the provider asked for you would technically be breaking the jsa agreement. that is why i suggested you should show the provider 6 because you dont want them to say to you, you only do 5 and your jsa agreement says 6 so we are refering you for a sanction.Who is breaking the agreement?0 -
no you arent as you still have to do the JSA agreementdonnajunkie wrote: »i know you have said you do alot more. i am just saying if it says 6 and you were only doing 5 because thats all the provider asked for you would technically be breaking the jsa agreement. that is why i suggested you should show the provider 6 because you dont want them to say to you, you only do 5 and your jsa agreement says 6 so we are refering you for a sanction.
Its not good saying do 6 as they the WP have told me they do not want more than 5 and I have ALL the jobs written down on my job search booklet with me at all times so they would and could never say that!0 -
yes unless you get a job that lasts beyond the 2 years you are effectively on it forever. i think you get 3 months breathing space at the end of the 2 years. although they are supposed to be bringing in some sort of workfare scheme for those who are unemployed at the end of the 2 years. So basically if you dont get a job then forever?

while on the work programme people are still customers of the jobcentre and still sign on. when the jobcentre refers people to the work programme they forward the details of their jsa agreement to the provider. On older government programmes, the JSAg is suspended and the agreement is swapped over to providers.
