Why was it a mistake in that you informed them as to it was no good etc? did they then send you on many other waste of time courses.0 -
To the poster above I only have my CV as a printed copy and also as a document on my home pc. Will I be made to put it on something external ? I apply for jobs from home so do not see a need.0 -

I know I can refuse a course but as I was told yesterday I would be reported to the job centre and may be sanctioned. I claim JSA as I am looking for work and I can back up all my applications and show my CV so would I be sanctioned for not wanting to do a course ?
If sanctioned for this will I repeatedly get put on mandatory courses and re sanctioned but for longer ? Also does hardship provision still exist if you are sanctioned ? living alone I would have no income for bills/electricity etc. Not that I think it would be fair to be sanctioned for this as the only rule really to claim JSA is to be actively seeking work and can prove it.
Thanks for any info anyone has
a sanction just means you will be without money for a set period of time. you still sign on and you still have to attend the work programme.
hardship does still exist for those who meet the criteria. it is also rarely paid for the first 2 weeks of a sanction. sometimes the rules surrounding sanctions can be stricter if the sanction is related to a mandatory course.0 -

You must notify the participant in writing if you mandate them to undertake activity.
You must also ensure that as a minimum, participants have access to all ongoing mandatory requirements in a single document that is available to them at their request.0 -

That would have been the most sensible thing for those idiots to have done,"no-one bid" or even had distributed the £3billion plus which will be wasted on this dead end scheme to the unemployed to go and spend in the shops it would create jobs and tax on goods etc. They have just done this to kill time hoping the recession will ride out.Unfortunately, thats not happening unless you believe all the political bull !!!! spin we see on the news etc.Where i live in , manufacturing is totally hammered, and my local town centre is packed full of the charity shops those !!!!! in goverment want us all working in for £2 per hr"approx"
As you say donnajunkie, employers dont want to employ long term unemployed, they never did when the going was good and sure as hell wont do it now,or will depending on price. How little can we all afford to work for.0
