I wouldn't want to work in a jobcentre as it has to be one of the most demoralising jobs there is or ever likely to be. But you are right some of them do live in a bubble and think everything is rosy in their little world. Some do care but I have found most are there just to pick up a wage at the end of the month.

The business owner could and should rightly complain to the JC

Maybe what you all need to do is all go over there and get in line to use the loo and tell the boss the JC said its ok for you to use them!

Toilets in cafes etc are for the users of that business and should remain that way.

    They are not public toilets!!!

    The JC are clueless

all that would result in is instead of being directed to that toilet you would be told there is no toilet to use. i dont see why they should have an issue unless the numbers of people is massive or people from the jobcentre vandalise the toilet. i always hate those places that have big signs saying toilets are for customers only. it just puts me off from ever being a customer there.

Toilets though ARE only for customer use as they are paying rates and rent and the loos are not making them ££ if umpteen people use them but do not buy anything.

Yes too right they would be told there is no toilet to use in the said caf! and why should there be?

If you were/are a customer then the sign wont apply to you as you can use the facilities

    The JC should provide one

its not exactly costly to them if someone uses their toilet either. yes the jobcentre should provide toilets. personally i have been caught short on occasion and used a pub toilet or a toilet in mcdonalds without buying anything and never had a problem. if they did give me grief i would just say phone the police then.

    Phone the police!! LOL

It is costly as its THEIR toilets and you are not paying to use them - its their business. No customers all day long but 30 people who used the loo!!!

lol indeed, thats my point what exactly are they going to do if someone uses the toilet without buying anything. no its not costly unless perhaps if they have a water meter. if they had no customers all day they would go bust whether people use the toilet or not.
