I don't get why people can't use jobcentre toilets
They have you there to sign on etc and some people have medical issues so what's the problem?0 -

Probably more like some have no empathy etc
But they do have a duty if care to those who are there0 -
come on, you know there are people among claimants who would take the opportunity to do something, especially if they are angry due to being sent on a course or having been sanctioned. it could be anything from graffiti to assault or even starting a fire. i can understand why they take the precaution they do. however they shouldnt be requiring people to be there more than 30 minutes without access to a toilet.Chester666666 wrote: »Probably more like some have no empathy etc

So to be wary of the few everyone must be penalised?0 -
What duty of care do the JC have to claimants?0
-
All toilets have problems, like vandalism/people injecting etc. Thats why so many public loos have shut down in recent years. Basically anti social behaviour.
However basically it boils down to basic decency and respect. If the jobcentre keep people for longer than an hour or so they need to be providing proper facilities which includes toilets. Its outrageous that they dont. I mean they will have women who are pregnant/ people with medical conditions etc as well as everyone elce.
What I would do is write a complaint to the head of the jobcentre and my M.P if I was been made to go there for an extended period with no loo.0 -
They don't want to get involved with issues & problems people have out of view in toilets.Chester666666 wrote: »I don't get why people can't use jobcentre toilets

But some JCs do allow people to use on request.
Maybe they need to be suitable for disabled & have emergency pull cord alarm.0
