I have a Benefit Review Meeting coming up where they want to see passport, utility bills and bank accounts

    anyone had one of these

is there anything I need to know? Why all the paperwork - passport - what are they going to do? deport me if I don't have one?

it's just another thing to worry about which may be just more b.s. but at the same time could lead to trouble - which is of course exactly what they want you to think

whatever it is it won't me find a job any faster it will just make me miserable worrying about it for 2 weeks then the actual thing is a complete farce as usual

you have to wonder at the motivation of some of the JC staff who dream these things up that achieve absolutley nothing just in order to put people through the stress and worry

Any information about what exactly a Benefit Review Meeting actually is would be great just to help me know what I'm dealing with and lessen the stress a little

Its another way of getting claimants to 'sign off', as believe it or not some claimants receive undeclared income and decide its easier to sign off rather than being investigated by the fraud services...

lol - as oppose to asking me how my job search is going! Such a waste of money half of these rituals

And here's me thinking they were wanting to see me because they are concerned about me

I just left the wp. I asked for my exit report nobody sent it out which dosent suprise me. I was told i could have a copy.

Never got mine either even though I asked at my final appointment just got told just the jobcentre have one. I knew this was wrong but he was adamant.

Didn't really have an exit review anyway just the normal 5 min catch up about my job search.

Will contact the provider to see if one can be sent by post to me. Appears even the job centre didn't get one because they never brought it up.

this is a reflection of important JC staff and the Work Programme staff view the value of the WP - who cares about an exit report from a course everyone involved with it knows is a waste of time

Radio 4 had a programme about the WP this week and to hear Esther McVey the Tory minister spout lies and drivel about how sucessful the WP is was shocking

Meanwhile one of the major companies investing in it is selling all of its Work Programme shares in April 2014

the contract with the government has another two and a half years to run and that's the only reason the WP exists at all now because the govt. can't get out of the contract

and we are being treated like crap for doing two years of this and not being helped!

I never had an exit interview, never got a copy of the report and had to request if off the DWP who then escalated it to another team who then had to request a copy of the WP and then send it to me!

Full of lies it is too!!!

Who cares about the exit report? I do as mine is full of lies that they can not and will not back up.

I have had to demand the JC request a list of dates they say I had and missed from the WP and we are still waiting to hear back!

  • JSA - Old Sanctions Regime

12.22 million sanction decisions between April 2000 and June 2013 - of which, 5.51 million were adverse decisions (i.e. a sanction applied).

    JSA - New Sanctions Regime
Under the new sanctions regime, introduced on 22nd October 2012, a total of 1.35 million sanction decisions have been made up to June 2013, of which, 0.58 million were adverse decisions.

    - 36% because of a failure to actively seek employment
    - 30 % because of a failure to participate in the Work Programme (and other training schemes)
    - 20% because of a failure to attend an advisory interview

this is the Tory's idea of "making work pay"

Not forcing employers to pay decent wages so people are not being exploited and mistreated

but to hound job seeker's until they are so stressed and miserable so they have to come off benefits and offer themselves as slave labour

so "making work pay" is Tory double speak for "deliberately making it a no-win situation for anyone needing to claim anything"

    Nice
