See a job centre in North London saying the loos are for PUBLIC use

Not that I have been there but we all know our JC say they have none to use

I say take it up with the council

Yes I have said that and they have a public toilet that is LOCKED and no one can use it!!!

It was ONCE a public loo and could be used by the public if you asked. I asked someone who had been out of work before what it was used for and they told me when I was sitting waiting to sign one day. You had to get a key from security before you were allowed to use it.

I have been looking online and I have a photo of it , its set out for disabled people but it was meant for all and all the sites say this about it

    Accessibility
    Wheelchair access:
    Yes - full

    Accessible toilets:
    Yes

    Access notes:
Limited parking for disabled people by arrangement. Level entrance. Loop system

However its no longer for use by anyone as we were told in a session the loos are in the shopping centre.

Have a search online for info about your job centre, and I bet they have a toilet you don't know about.
if you're ever there a longtime and need the toilet it could be worth putting in a complaint. i have seen toilets in the jobcentre but they just have the usual male or female sign on the door theres no way of knowing if they are classed as public or not.

If they are on the customer side of the building they are public ones. Staff ones are behind the scenes ie the staff swipe a card and go through a door to the staff areas out the back

I'd think it's just a basic check, to check that there are no change of circumstances to boot you off benefits, just checking original information you submitted with your claim.

I know you said they wanted a passport, not everyone has a passport & other documents can be used to confirm your id with DWP.

Its just an interview where they will ask to see your id, proof of address, bank statements etc etc.Its main aim is to ensure you are correctly getting benefits.....but these interviews have also helped JCP achieve their off flow targets.

the woman in my JC is called Ella - she's Polish and acts very sweet but is known as Eva Peron by the advisors under her!

that's why I'm nervous - she is a total Nazi

how do you guys know your stuff? do you work for the DWP?
