when i was on a course it was mandatory and they didnt know what to do with people.

No joke we did wordsearches, looked at optical illusions, made things out of cardboard etc. We went to the library and when we got there we were told we could go home.

It had nothing to do with jobfinding at all. This was in 2011.

yep even you mate, EVERYONE, she said she doesnt know when but soon, for all wp returners, they dont have the staff then theyll have to hire wont they,

Are you sure you're not being played & spun a yarn.

I'd take anything advisors say with a pinch of salt.

Your advisor knows daily signing is a waste of time, you know it's a waste of time.

Your Job Centre for whatever reasons decided to implement daily signing on you and it hasn't worked. There is is no consistent regime around country with JCs/DWP/government making it up as they go along.

They are clueless idiots, will never learn & think saying another dose of daily signing will make you go away.

Remember, you reflect on your advisor's performance. It's in her interest to scare you.

No I don't think so as no one has said a word about signing daily.

If you think what you are told is gospel I should say what I have been told it too? That all WP returners are MY JC only are seeing the National Careers Service. Are you? I bet not so we can not all be doing or being told the same things.

Just from a financial perspective it wouldn't be possible to get all WP returners onto daily signing. There's not only the extra cost of staff but also the huge cost of paying people's transport costs for every day that isn't their usual signing day.

Unless, of course, they are counting on it forcing people off benefits so that the extra costs would be offset by the gains from people leaving benefits!

And, apart from that, they can't just do what they like no matter how much they think they can. Everything they ask us to do has to be reasonable in our individual circumstances. If they want us in every day they have to justify it. It has to, in some way, help us to find work and if it doesn't it isn't reasonable and you'd be well within your rights to challenge it.

jeez Leroy you have drawn the short straw with your job centre! Is there anyway you could pretend to move and sign on somewhere else? like get you mum to say you live with her so that you could sign at that local jc??

research and see what JS's are doing this !!!! - I think not all of them are - even in your town

I reckon the biatch is winding you up - lets hope so

I have been on a mandatory 3 week course (week 3 started today) like you when they told me I just said "yeah fine" even though 3 weeks of plans and visits to family and friends went out the window!

I didn't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing I was dying inside

I think Jerry Mander is right they surely can't just treat you like this on a whim

try and see if its legal what theyre doing - it must count as harassment or something

you could sign for ESA - but they are clamping down on that too - a guy on this course I'm on is on ESA but they sent him anyway

it WOULD cut out the biatch at the JC if only for a while for you to have a break from all the stress

lol mate when i got back in my car thats exactly what i thought to myself, them words i dont know when, wich she repeated twice, she said AGAIN i dont know when but its gonna happen, its the real !!!!! one i told you about, thats not a bad idea actualy

going to a differnt jobcentre, the only other one is a long way though, i dont have to go back now till 2 september, she seemed really annoyed at that, she said i cant belive september. when writing the appointment down, its like she thinks im gonna go away happy knowing i dont have to come back for a while and wants me to be thinking of that the whole time lol

the thing is it really doesnt bother me that much, its in and out in 10 minutes, yeah id rather not but i dont care tbh she obviously thinks its a massive deal

shes got such a fake smile and ignorant attitude, ignoes when ever i speak so i end up speaking to myself lol, like i said wenever i come out after an appointment with her i feel degraded, not for long though lol, usualy as im walking out, then comes the anger.

but yeah i got shafted on this one. got landed with the 2 biggest jobsworth !!!!!es ever to grace this earth, oh well !!!! happens. also at least youre on youre last week mate, they should leave you alone for a bit.
