This new FOI response explains why the advisers think that everyone will be mandated to UJM come October:

All new claimants will have to sign the Claimant Commitment and register with UJM or it will be referred to a DM. Current claimants will presumably be gradually moved over to a CC with the same conditions.
registering isnt the same as allowing access. my jc are already telling people they must register.

my wp is so inconsistent, i saw someone else onMonday as my advisor was busy and she did things my normal advisor said they didnt do anymore? Why where is the consistency??

They keep saying as well we have to allow access to our online account:mad:

Just print this out and show it to them:

    82. We cannot specify to a JSA claimant how they provide us with records of their jobsearch activity and Universal Jobmatch will not change this – it is not therefore possible to require JSA claimants to give DWP access to their Universal Jobmatch account.

From chapter 3 of the UJ Toolkit: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/165908/response/410266/attach/html/5/Chapter%2003%20Using%20Universal%20Jobmatch.pdf.html

But you also need to tell them to put a note on LMS to stop asking you.

when someone allows access it is for the jobcentre only. so how would a provider know whether you had or not. they can only take your word for it. why dont you just say to them why is there the option to not allow access if everyone has to allow access. basically why would they have the option to do something if it isnt allowed. it doesnt make sense.

The UJM account? The WP can not see it if that's what you mean to just tell them 'yeah'

  • Had the Work Programme call me a couple of times recently to tell me about an exciting new volunteer programme they were running (yay). I've now told them not to contact me again and to remove all of my details - have also put this in writing. They didn't help me at all, I'm finished with them and I have a full time job (which I made sure to mention, just not where....lol). You could sense their disappointment on that one.

Today, got letter from WP provider giving me an additional appointment where I have to "bring the following information in order for us to complete a better off calculation: information on savings, current income, council tax, rent, partner details etc.."

Why does the work programme need all this????

Erm to work out at what rate of pay you would better off in work but I thought the JC did all that?

Having said that I have no had that done at either places but I only get JSA.

I have just been re-assessed for JSA by JC and been awarded JSA but why do I have to give all my bank statements to WP?
