But the JC are not doing the 'support' anymore, its the WP and I have been asked to mention any other support I may need as well they aren't giving me any at the moment so thought maybe I could ask to do an Advanced Excel course. The thing they got me to do online to 'keep up with your excel skills' was like a begineers Excel for 10 year olds! I scored 95%!

Ha ha, that's embarrassing! It blows my mind they don't have advanced courses in anything, in particular Microsoft Office, there's always something new to learn there.

IF you have a spare 3 hours or even 15 mins have a look http://alison.com/courses/Excel

all you need to do is sign up for an account and away you go. It talks you through and then at the end of each module you have to do a test. I only scored 95% nad not 100% as a lot of what they wanted you to do with via the tool bar and I have never really used that but mainly use the commands I have learnt like using the mouse more etc.

As i understand it, if youre on the WP and refuse to do MWA or anyother thing they suggest you do then sanctions can and will be applied, its exactly the same condition of an indirect threat as sanctions were with workfare !:T
if you fail to do anything that is down as mandatory you can be sanctioned. however with certain things if you want to stop doing them you can ask your adviser and they may let you stop doing them without you getting a sanction.

I love that "everyone else has said it was helpful":T its a bit like the old crap line of "weve never had a problem before with this" answer = you hav now! It proves that they just want everyone inline like robots in a neat row and apply the green ticks to their success rate charts or rather total lack of it. They fear anyone who speaks their mind, and will always disagree even when your right.
i saw her again yesterday and she had totally forgotten about everything she said at the previous appointment. she didnt ask me to show my evidence or ask to see my letter even though i mentioned i had brought it with me. i am wondering whether my previous appointment had coincided with her time of the month. in a couple of weeks time i am scheduled to go in and get a new covering letter done. then probably a couple of weeks after that i will go in again to get registered on their jobsearch website. after that i will get scheduled to go in once a fortnight to do jobsearch for 1 hour.
as someone at the next desk was talking about someone getting a job i took the opportunity to ask what they do if someone gets a job and just signs off without saying anything. she said they cant do anything. she seemed to think that if they have done a new cv and letter for you that that justifies them getting paid when you get a job.

I signed off yesterday and I have a WP meeting on Monday, am I supposed to tell the WP people? I went through all the paperwork yesterday from the WP to see what the guidelines are, and it just says if I sign off benefits I don't have to go anymore. I then looked at my WP list of things to do with the name of my advisor on the top and it was a completely different name to the person I see who's name I don't know, I am assuming it's not her as it's an Irish man's name and she was very much an Asian lady. So that was my excuse to not be able to ring her up!

Really I don't want to let them know I have signed off as I'd like them to go [insert expletive of your choice here] and I haven't got a full time job so they won't be getting their massive bonus for doing nothing.

I was on the WP and after weeks and weeks of asking for some training this is what I got.

    Their idea of 'training' in their 'Warehouse Workshop' is to ask you questions such as this;

    Q) If you drop liquid in a warehouse, what do you do?

    a) Clean it up
    b) Leave it to soak up
    c) Tell another member of staff to clean it up

Yes thats right, 23 questions that could of been answered by 7 year olds.

    How demoralising can you get?

Is it any wonder why people are signing off and living from savings and jobseekering, rather than being treated like babies from pompous staff at these centres.

You should have asked at the JC but as you haven't been there yet to the WP I am (and it's only a guess) that you do not have to tell them if you signed off in person and you know the JC know.
