So, I went to the meeting with the WP provider and when I get there, they inform me that they had sent a letter out to change the time and date of the appointment which I never received! Wasted journey.

If anyone can help with the above, it would be appreciated.

Serco is my provider, on their 2nd stage called enable I have to go to another provider Pertemps who are delivering the WP for Serco.

I have been told I have to attend an induction even though I already had a 2.5 hour induction from Serco when I started the WP. Anyone here go to Pertemps offices for their WP attendance and could tell me what happens on their whole morning induction meeting ?

When I had my first one it was a brief presentation and filling in forms then a questionnaire type test on a pc with results on what kind of job suits your personality.

the good thing about those tests is if you are smart you can tell which jobs it will say you are suitable for depending on your answer. for example dont say yes to liking to work with the general puplic if you dont want to be put in a retail placement.

what have yours said they can do for you?

Mine have said nothing so far, although i already knew what they could do for me, which is probably going to cover 80% of people across the uk. =0 :T well done grayling and smith.

A whole morning induction:eek:,that just shows they are just trying to kill time, ive worked for some huge companies and inductions have never taken more than 1.5 hours.

if they ask you to sign anything, ask for a full explanation as to why? then if you feel like signing id ask for a copy there and then.Do not take any crap, people who are getting sanctions do appeal and a lot are winning. Its costing the tax payer £80 million a yr so fa,r as per the citizens advice video on youtube.

They are completely rammed with people seeking advice on benefit sanctions.

I personally wouldnt trust these providers 1 bit,i declined to sign my consent form as is my right and yet i have 100 spam emails and adss a day comin at me for the 1st time in 10yrs,think they sold my info on.
  • of course some things are serious enough that you should speak up. its a case of judging when you should speak up and when its better to just keep quiet. during my last appointment she said it was just to review the motivation course. then after i told her it wasnt very good she started saying you have to do this and you have to do that. she also told me i had to see her again in 2 weeks time.

Omg,i guess i have this other wonderful course coming my way then, "motivation course":j do they really think by listening to all this superficial crap that jobs are going to fall from the sky.

Id tell the advisor we still have freedom of speech dont we,or maybe not if we are on the slave programme.
  • as far as the being expected to return to work in 6 months thing that is on the action plan, i have been told that it is a guide and to not worry about it.

I wondered if I needed to keep agreeing appointments with the Work Programme provider (currently every 2 weeks) and if it is possible to now withdraw all my signed consent forms as I am concerned at the fact that the provider holds increasingly sensitive data regarding my health. They have just referred me to a company specialising in occupational health for additional intrusive "assistance".

You can withdraw consent at any time, and ask for it to be confirmed in writing ,dont let them just say ok and leave it with them. There is an address i think at the botttom of the original forms which they should have given you copies of, they tried to avoid doing this with me and came unstuck as i also told them to write a letter as to why i wouldnt consent, which is plain as its there already in black and white but this provider guy had a hard time in understanding what that exactly meant.

And they are employed to get us work:T its a complete joke.
