    The WP is being scrapped?

i wish, i think we are a long way from that as they couldnt afford the failure so soon and not to mention the embarassing cost to the tax payer.

"So they have finally realised that the genral public dosent want to be put in a position of work for nothing or lose your benefits.
I note this has been a u turn by the goverment on workfare for anyone 16-24 age group with no sanctions being applied.

Why is this still going to operate the same way for those 24+ age group on THE WORKPROGRAMME, more mandatory crap from them."or have i missed something?

I am not sure I have cost anyone that much as been in the offices for a total of 45 mins if you excluded my assesment that happened in Aug last year. What's 45 mins worth? £10? lol

Same here, its the 1000s they are not putting into work and collecting big cheques from goverment for failing to do so.

If you find a job off your own back so to speak, the provider then puts in a claim to the goverment for a payment, you have to be in a job for a certain time period for them to do this but you see the point. They claim it was rheir company who helped you do this.
  • The overall cost to the tax payer is around £3billion + "from the horses mouth" so we can can double that then! lol. Now off to my WP mandatory appointment. How to do a job search, ehhhhhhhhhhhh?

Omg,i guess i have this other wonderful course coming my way then, "motivation course":j do they really think by listening to all this superficial crap that jobs are going to fall from the sky.

Id tell the advisor we still have freedom of speech dont we,or maybe not if we are on the slave programme.
she didnt try to say i didnt have a right to my opinion. i didnt massively slag it off. after i told her what i thought she responded by saying everyone else has said it was very helpful. then the rest of the appointment changed from just being about reviewing what i thought of the course to you must do this, you must do that.

I wondered if I needed to keep agreeing appointments with the Work Programme provider (currently every 2 weeks) and if it is possible to now withdraw all my signed consent forms as I am concerned at the fact that the provider holds increasingly sensitive data regarding my health. They have just referred me to a company specialising in occupational health for additional intrusive "assistance".

You can withdraw consent at any time, and ask for it to be confirmed in writing ,dont let them just say ok and leave it with them. There is an address i think at the botttom of the original forms which they should have given you copies of, they tried to avoid doing this with me and came unstuck as i also told them to write a letter as to why i wouldnt consent, which is plain as its there already in black and white but this provider guy had a hard time in understanding what that exactly meant.

And they are employed to get us work:T its a complete joke.
i think its better to allow them to have on record your condition and to be able to tell potential employers about it. that way if they were to ever force you to go somewhere unsuitable you will be able to take legal action if anything happened. if you withdrew their ability to hold the info then they could say well we didnt know anything about their condition.

"is this right, grayling has now said anyone pulling out of the workfare scheme aged 16-24 while doing a work trial activity etc wont have sanctions applied ?

If so what about everyone else above the age of 24 currently on the work programme.

Is there something really special about the application of sanctions on people via the WP as oppossed to workfair?

I think they mean for people who have been told they have to do the MWA while on the WP.

I just wonder what type of people have been told they have to do that.
